Hi, I just discovered ur "mod" and i'd like to play it but i've got some problems. I downloaded the standalone but I can't play to Shadow Of Death Or Armagedon's Blade. When I choose a map of Shadow of Death I have those errors " Error opening files Zc1.h3C" "Error opening files Zc2.h3c" "Error opening files Zc3.h3c" "Error opening files Zc4.h3c".

For Armagedon's blade, I got some errors when I click on it, like " ResourceManager::GetBitMap16 could not find the "Bitmap16" resource "default24.pcx" " Same for camp1DB2.pcx and some others. And all map are grey, can't choose them.

Any idea of how I could fix it? I already dowloaded the standalone several times and it's always like that.

This mod is based on Wog (a heroes III addon) and the original campaigns are not available to play. I am afraid that you can't play those campaigns anyway (even if you had just WOG installed). There's nothing wrong with the standalone version you don't have to download it again and again.

But in The shadow of Death campaign, there is "In the wake of god" and some campaings that are not in Heroes III normally, like "The samaritan" or "Evil way home", we can't play them? D: Thanks for your answer anyway.

Yes, Shadow of Death Campaigns have been replaced by WOG campaigns, which are normally playable with plain WOG install, but since the standalone version has my mod on it, i don't know if they are fully playable. You can try and find out for yourself.

If you insist on playing campaigns, you can always try out the ones I made for my mod. If on the main menu you press NEW GAME -> CAMPAIGN -> CUSTOM you will find out that there are five new campaigns that I've made especially for my mod and thus they are fully playable and compatible with the changes i've made.

Don't worry... I plan to have it ready during the summertime so you will be free to enjoy it during your vacation

**EDIT**

I've been working on WOG map objects lately as I wanted to change and edit some of the original WOG objects that were (in my opinion that is) poorly made. Thanks to Astaroth I have some new (and in really good quality) objects to use and so the progress is satisfactory. I've been designing some new objects myself but more on that later.

In the time being I have altered the WOG creature banks. I've altered the adventure map look, added new battlefields and changed their guardians and rewards a bit. You can always watch the progress of the mod in the Slideshow Presentation, but I'll post the new images here as well. In the (hopefully near) future I will post the remaining new WOG objects and dwellings. Till next time then and stay tuned for more!

Creature stack experience was (regreatably) disabled because i needed to add some creature special abilities that could be given only as a bonus through experience.

@Warmonger

To be frank they are not actually additional creature banks they are the original WOG creature banks (Grotto, Home of the Bat etc) that I modified. But still, thanks for the enthusiasm I think they're pretty nice too

Thank you esvath for your kind words but the backgrounds were not made by me. Credits go to original designer (Morn I think). The creature banks themselves were designed by Astaroth, I merely edited their function.

I also have some news to share. I just finished editing some WOG objects. I changed the appearance of many WOG objects because I thought that the original WOG animation for those objects (and again that's only my opinion) were purely made. So here they are:



For some of these objects I used the defs of other unused WOG objects found in the Heroes3sprite.lod. Others were my design (such as the Death Chamber, the new Seer Huts and Portal). The replacements for the Magic Mushrooms were made by Astaroth. The Tower was taken by MoP mod.

I changed these objects' appearance firstly because I think they look better this way and secondly because I am going to use them in my campaigns. For instance, that's why the Bank, the Artificier and the Junk Merchant all look alike, because I want to use them as parts of a small village in one of the campaigns. Same goes for the Magic Mushrooms (I think Astaroth made a remarkable job on them and they are way better than the original).

Anyways, I hope you like them. I am currently working on new dwellings. I will post the images as soon as I am through with them. Once I am done with the dwellings then most of the job in my mod will be complete and I am guessing it will be ready this summer (well, here's hoping anyway ). As always stay tuned for more!

This Tower was already part of WOG, it was an alternative version of the original (the Blue one) School of Wizardry. I merely switched them and made this one the basic Tower (the one that will appear in random maps that is). Thanks for noting the author.

I see you changed the Triton.However there is a M&M8 teal version here.There is a golden-like one for the upgrade too!

I used the version you are refering to in the current version of my mod (HoLv3.1). I didn't really like it though, that's why I changed it. As for the upgraded def, it doesn't need one because it doesn't have an upgrade.

Does anyone happen to have an example WoG settings file that they're using?

Despite having disabled hero stuff, wog artifacts, etc. as instructed, I'm still getting a lot of broken scripts during map creation, and I'm not sure what the culprit is.

Appreciate it.

I don't understand if you're are refering to Wog in general or my mod in particular but the obligatory Wog options are listed in the first page of this thread. Other than that you can set all other options as unchecked and then experiment on which option works smoothly or not.
