I'm not sure if this intentional but on hotseat I noticed that some of the options are grayed out such as artefact guards, taxes and eight skill enhancements... normally I would go to single player and change the options from there then go to hotseat again and start a game with the options I selected in place but with it grayed when I start a game the grayed out options are set to off so we can't use those features.

Edit: Basically I was just wondering if there was a work around I can use to play a hotseat game with atleast the eight skill enhancement. I did try switching to an earlier client 3.1d along with an older EE_Options.pak and for some reason this wouldn't work like before when I would just go to single player to set the options and then go to hotseat with the options intact. (though I may of not of had the correct EE_Options.pak for this version but I think I was using the correct one since the advanced options weren't available on hotseat)

Patch version: 3.1.f (stable), map: Dream Land (but it probably does not matter).

At this map most of neutral creatures in the (very huge) starting area are of your town type. I made an experiment: I play as Haven and I hired all available Haven heroes. Result: since that time no neutral haven stacks were led by Champions - so this is a way to avoid Champions of your town type.

Did you stop at the grayed box? I played Hotseat last night. I checked the 8-skills box in SP mode, then switched to MP. Even though the box was grayed, I had 8 when the game started up.

Workaround:

Start 3.1c and create the hotseat game. Save the game. Do not hit the turn button and quit 3.1c. Launch 3.1g and load the hotseat game.

2 Questions That I'd Appreciate help with:

I am currently running 3.1d, just wondering if the storm wind perk is supposed to be -2 speed/-20% initiative as of Toe 3.1, since my 3.1d still has the values at -1 speed/-10% initiative.

Also when fighting against battle griffins, as soon as they use "Rush Dive" they immediately get the ability activated. Ive seen this issue before http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=27098&pagenumber=16 , although there didnt seem to be an explanation. The only mod I have on my computer is the Ai Mod, thanks in advance for any help

Thanks guys, I think I was just confused because when I went to "create" the game it said under Game Preferences, Hero Skills: 6, I did confirm that Taxes and Artefact Guards are disabled though. I didn't play through to see if I could actually pick 8 skills but the slots are there so i'm guessing so.

Hi,

I'm trying to test the newest 3.1f build on a random map, but it looks like the computer AIs aren't doing much during their turns.

What I did was:

- Run the "stock" 3.1 TOTE build to generate a random map
- Generate the map with the parameters I wanted
- Save the map
- Launch the map with the 3.1f build.

Upon ending my first turn, the first thing that struck me as odd is that the AI progression bars were taking a looong time to fill themselves (and stopped halfway).

After observing this behavior for a few turns, I entered a cheat code to reveal all the map & see for myself, and indeed, during its turns, the AI players never moved once.

It may be important to note that the map type is full of little islands, instead of one big landmass, it may play a part in this strange behavior.

I don't know what may be causing this :/

Will be E.E compatible with magnomagus mod again like older versions ?

I really like E.E ,ai computer players are much better but with basic unbalanced heroes (warlock too strong in the begining of the game, bastion too strong on late game, blablabla) i would really apreciate a compatiblity with RPE.This will be possible?

Quantomas has stated that eventually the AI Mod may be compatible with the RPE but right now he is more focused with improving the AI.

Proxeeus I went ahead and tested your map and found that the AI crashes after ending your turn, I can't really help with debugging unfortunately.

Running 3.1f

Is there a game paramter that controls the growth rate of neutral stacks?

After two months the netrals had zero growth when playing with very strong monsters and easy heroes (I prefer not to play with neutral heroes).

AI on water map bug

I use 3.1f 3.1e 3.1d ,I found:
1.  AI seem to get stuck in front of his boat, after building it. And this on water map).
2. AI often spent a long time before  building ship
3. AI go along the sea before building ship

I think it was bug

I wouldn't use 3.1e to test, it corrupts maps from what I heard.

Edit: You may want to upload your map and save file for reference.

I found bug

I use 3.1f 3.1e 3.1d , difficult: hard
I found:
1.  AI often do not pick up the resources after defeating the neutral monster

I have a small issue to report. Functions like TalkBoxForPlayers and others introduced in 3.1 vanilla patch don't work with EE,  so some (fan-made) maps are missing functionality. Is there any hope they will be added  in the future or is it very difficult?Also EE_options.pak (as of 3.1f) seems to cause problems with Talkbox (it doesn't appear) even if game is launched with vanilla exe, so one has to remove it to solve the problem; and then put it back to play EE again. Is it intentional?

Care to provide a zip with the map so that I could reconstruct the error?

If you report a bug, please either supply a zip with a map/savegame or a very detailed bug description from which I can reconstruct the error. Otherwise the bug report is mostly useless.

Also, rpgyay is right, use the latest build. No point to report bugs from outdated builds.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread and if this issue is not already mentioned somewhere -

In the town screen the 'build structure' button partially covers the last creature slot.

In combat, the 'flee/surrender' button completely covers the 'show extended log' button, thus making it unusable.

These are minor issues, but still they are annoying. I'm not sure what happened, may be the entire controls are offset a little to the left?
