Actually no one said that, guys. Maybe Macron (EDIT: Seems like he also haven't meant that), but I'm pretty sure Trith didn't have that in mind. He was just comparing your idea to Ukrainian Forge's one... and AFAIK many people who even acknowledged this mod have criticized it not only because of graphics, but also because of their line up.
And they were right. Why wouldn't they be now?

To me the Drone is surely much better idea than Naga Tank (sick!) but i wouldn't say it's the best possible solution.

The M&M VI and VII Seeker, Sentinel and Assassin Droids are essentially the same units with a different appearance, the first being flying drones and the others being walkers. I think the only reason for this is because they were built on different Ancient colonies: the M&M VI ones are from VARN and the the M&M VII ones are from Terra. That's also the reason why M&M VI and VII blasters have different appearance, but are otherwise essentially the same.
Anyway, my point: why would you put two very similar mechanical units in the two final levels? Considering the fact that you're already using the M&M VII droids for level 7 units, why use the other ones as well? The original level 7s were supposed to be "melee flyers more powerful than Archangels." Using those walkers instead is already a big change, but acceptable, since we don't really know what those units would have been like. But why change the others that we *do* know about, e.g. Minotaurs and Naga Tanks? I mean, the idea is to *recreate* the Forge, as opposed to reimagining it completelly... and besides, no one here seems to like those. I personally think the original simpler M&M VI models looked much better without the spikes and all.

No, we rejected them a long time ago.

All that we know about them — it's early sketches for "nagas" and only mention of WIP conventional name for "minotaurs".

Here. You've seen it already. And yes, it's a good evidence for minotaurs presence in Forge.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of anything with jetpack really.

Macron1, show me where here is written that this is a "naga", and not a "human female".

But it's very close to the official source. It seems that they were at least thinking about it.
I'm ok with you changing minotaurs for something else (not ok with these spiked balls though), but you seem to fail when talking about what's official and what's not. Just explain us that you don't care about NWC's materials being official or not and it'll be fine for me.

Where you saw human female with 4 arms?!
Quote: that's not an official source
Lol! 3do site went offline long ago. What official source you are talking about?
It's not sufficient for you to see mention of minotaurs in interview of time of AB release?

So, the fact that her body is sewn to the tracked chassis, you do not mind, but the fact that she has two hands more than they should — confused you? And naga, among other things, has six arms, not four.

What if her tail was not cut off, but cybernetically connected to the inside of the chassis? That being said, the concept art does have several problems: the Naga have six and not four arms, also the Walther P38-resembling SMGs (with bayonets, no less!) are completely out of place, they would be using blasters if they were a ranged unit, which brings us to the third problem: they werent't planned to be a ranged unit to begin with.
So, while that picture certainly doesn't represent what the final version of the Tank would have looked like, it does show that the unit was planned to be a Naga Tank. Again, it's recreating, and not entirely reimagining: change what you have to, but don't change everything just for the sake of changing it. Already the Grunts and Pyros get their levels swiched, the Minotaurs and the Naga are being dropped... it's making too many unnecessary changes for no apparent reason

I do not see how this all proves that the unit was planned to be Naga Tank.

And we "for no apparent reason" altered the town screen, yes And called hero classes as General and Engineer, not Cyborg and Technician — "for no apparent reason", of course

Look in the same article:
Quote: Look what they've done to poor Nagas, painful to look at them...
Adding another level 1 shooter might do a bit of disbalance to the game.
Rockets, Tanks and Lasers in HOMM - even more weird than that muppet town idea !
Killing with an axe or a sword is one thing, but killing with rockets and guns increases HOMM3's violence rating.
Beast vs Magic and now vs Technology - adds something new to the game, on another side HOMM3 is no longer a fantasy game.
In HOMM3 there are 3 good towns, 3 bad towns and 2 neutral towns. FORGE is a baddie's town, that will mean balance will be broken. Technology was blaimed on some "weapon-producing-artifact", how the heck such thing got there!? Alien invasion would sound more convincing to me... Somebody's got a really bad imagination
A very reliable source, yes Author of this article did not even know that kreegans — this is exactly the alien invasion.

Quote: And naga, among other things, has six arms, not four.
Look at this unit's hips. There should be another two arms, but they are hidden inside this tank device and are probably controlling it. So it's most probable that this unit is a naga in a tank. Anyhow, it's definitely not a human being.
But who cares, this concept was a joke anyway. We should try something different. This droid, however, isn't any better.

Yes it is. Opinions are clearly separated from the reliable information.
