It seams that adriancat knows something we do not know..
And I woudl like to know how did he came to this knowladge...
I personally think its is a 3rd studio wotking on the game, Some things could be left behind by BH, due to the ending of the vanila game

I was a bit dissapointed on the weight if crossbows in dungeon. I am fine with the small poisonous assassin crossbows in H5 but I thought crossbows were a haven speciality that gave the falcon duchy an edge over the other duchies originally. Besides, bows would make more sense for the dark elves since they are still elves afterall and a poisoned bow would be more effective than a poisoned crossbow. I also read that the dwarves uses ballistas which makes sense but since ballistas are pretty much enlarged crossbows, we now got 3 crossbow factions.
I really do hope that the dungeon army will suit their image and manipulate, weaken and harass in combat rather than being a raw powerhouse.
Guys, do you think there is reason to worry that this is the last expansion? I would be REALLY disappointed if I can not have all 9 factions(H5 factions + Sanctuary).

I'm not that worried. If your fear is due to the Complete Edition that is released at the same time, I would point at the Gold Edition that came out alongside Danse Macabre. People fear that that would be the end of the Heroes 6 cycle. And the same is said now. I think they are something else, namely a way for new customers to get everything up till now all at the same time.
Only if sales of the expansion completely bomb, should one fear the end of the cycle.

Realistically speaking, I do not believe we will see all core factions anymore. Of course nothing is set it stone for a second expansion but it's probably too early to tell. In H5 we had the basics covered early on so we could hope for improvements and evolution of gameplay. This is not the case with H6, we cannot even hope for an RMG or sim turns both of which I consider an absolute must.

I am totally agree, especialy when speaking about SIM turns. Most people dont play anymore just because of that!...thats prety bad!
EDIT: And yes, I am afraid that would be the last H6 DLC, gold edition what so ever...Ubi realy doesnt deserve to have this franchise under control, they are aiming only for our money, nothing else!

I think NWC had more autonomy, but it's hard to compare, especially since the standards are changing. DLC of any form was unheard of in the 90s. Like many other computer problems, you can thank Microsoft for that.

Yes but nwc created the series, you cannot compare them to a developer that gets his hand on heroes for the first time. Of course ubi has to establish a few guidelines. Which doesn't say much as H6 was a most misguided affair anyway. But things are changing.. I believe that we have reached an understanding which will hopefully pay off in the future.

Ubisoft can have my money if I get what I want. I would even tripple the price if it assured I got what I wanted.
I will also get pissed off if Hydra is not the champion and if I recall correctly, minotaurs were enslaved in H5 but here in h6 they were freed. I hope dark elves are not shown as the good guys.

I am referring to my fellow insiders. Communication with ubi can be messy - it being a multinational company - but we have managed to establish some communication with the people who can make a difference and we will have more creative freedom and information in upcoming releases. Besides, after 2 years of our whining they must have gotten an idea or two about what to avoid

The upgraded Minotaurs look very cool IMO. Like some kind of strong magic enchantment was put on them (Faceless magic?).
BTW it looks like the process of revealing the unit lineup has started. Finally...

I do like the Minotaur however I started to notice and its kind of obvious that all the upgraded creatures are going to be purple... -.- Damn, I might just never upgrade them so they'll look good in my eyes...

I highly doubt they'll stick to this schedule as the whole faction would be revealed by the end of the month, but it's been only 4-5 days since the expansion was officially announced with the reveal of the first unit so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the next one is shown next Monday or Tuesday.

Do we have to remind you of your own retcons? The new date you have published is 344 USD more than 150 years earlier.
