I wanted Sylvan as the first new faction but as long as I end up with them all I am willing to wait and spend. I just hope Dungeon takes a step away from destruction magic. Stealth and deception is the dark elf way to go.

The dungeon page in the new H6 site indeed points to that  Back in the H5 days I absolutely loved my destructive warlocks but felt they were missing dark magic. I think the only reason they lacked it was because inferno already had destructive/dark in the guild. The shadow witches had dark spells and this seemed somehow in contrast with the way the faction played out.

They said the "Complete Edition" will be released along with this expansion on February 28th. Does that mean no more expansions with Academy, Sylvan or Fortress? Bummer 
I wish they had put more of their resources into this expansion (Adding more factions, etc.), rather than working on their less-than-excellent spinoff projects (Duel of Champions, Raiders, Heroes Online, etc.)
Also, a February 28th release date seems too early. I predict many bugs in the expansion's initial release (as if the vanilla game didn't have enough bugs already).
But, despite the expansion's hasty release date and very stupid name (Shades of Darkness? WTF?), I try my best not to be a whiner. I'll give it a shot.

A little worried about the Complete Edition announcement.
Then again, i was worried about Gold Edition too.

If they keep repackaging the whole game every time they release something, that gives us a bit of a disincentive to buy in. I might get complete edition, maybe I'll wait 3 months for the saga edition, or 6 for diamond.
To clarify, I have no information of a sage or diamond, just being facetious.

So, now that this is officially announced, can it finally be revealed who made this expansion?
Was this left over from Black Hole and Limbic just put the final touches on it, did Limbic make it from scratch and basically nullify what we told about them being too small to do this on their own, or is there a third party involved?
Personally, I don't see why this is something that needs to be kept secret? It's not like revealing info or screenshots from the game.

I don't care who's been making it.
I'm more interested on line-up and artworks of the criters, heroes, classes (after Warlock is in Inferno I'm interested about replacements), new abilities (might/magic), new neutrals, fixed bugs and so on and so on...

I Actually agree with KingImp.
Who is the one, behind this expansion.. This is the most important question at the moment for me..
I can deduce the Lineup, and I can't judge skills until I can try them in the game... But I can read about/replay games done by the New studio.. if there is any..

This is pure speculation on my part and I tend to be wrong on these things more times than not, but if we aren't being told who did this expansion I do have a theory.
It wouldn't surprise me if this is in fact left over from Black Hole and Ubi is deliberately keeping the wraps on this info because of the bad taste that is still left in a lot of people's mouths after H6 was released.
Now, I know a lot of people blame Ubi more than Black Hole for the state the game was in at release. Still there are others that think BH was mainly to blame and if people hear that they made this expansion as well, then that may turn them off to a lot of sales.
Me personally, I lump the majority of blame at Ubi's feet, so who made this expansion won't influence my decision to buy or not. Others may not feel the same way though, hence the silence on such a simple question.

Personally, I blame both in a similar amount : BlackHole for making such a messy and bugged code, Ubisoft for choosing a bad dev studio (BH) and several decisions that kinda ruined the game.
As for the expansion, I don't think that BlackHole left enough to make an expansion - if any - and I believe that a third studio is in charge of the expansion, because we already know that Limbic was a small studio, unable to make an expansion.
The question I ask myself is - how big'd be this third studio? just big enough to make 1/2 expansions, like Limbic was a small studio more or less capable of the patch process? or is a bigger studio and could start later on with a Heroes VII?

Like I said, I tend to be wrong on these things more times than not. 
Still, for those of us not in the know, that was seen as just speculation. Unless of course you are now hinting they were in fact working on an Academy when they got the boot.

We've seen several spoils of the academy right and there - listed on the beta map editor, this DW, a data path, Rakshasa concept and I'm not sure if more....

Since I'm most likely wrong, I could see Storm-Giant being right on the whole new studio. Hence the needing to make it a standalone as the code would be completely different.
Still, why the secrecy? What's the big deal about knowing who is doing this?

Just a clarification: I'm not saying that the expansion will have a new code, that'd be making a new game and by the time given to it, I highly doubt it.
