I think that I will have to make a video on how to get everything set up lol.  Quite a few people are having troubles, but most ( especially which used ERA before ) can do it. Therefore the few people must be doing something wrong without realizing.

My Mod list won't update unless I manually update it. If I do that, then Era won't run.

That's definitely a problem with ERA then. I've never used the mod manager so it's not needed at all. Your mods folder should look like:
mods\
_off_
1 H2 Succession Wars
WoG
If this is not the case, the problem may be something you did. Also, the folder 1 H2 Succession Wars should go directly into its contents, so folders like Data, Maps, EraPlugins, mp3.
It should not be like mods\1 H2 Succession Wars\1 H2 Succession Wars as this will break it. If you used winrar you may have not done extract here, but some other thing and this would be the problem...

Well, no, Era2.4 has enable/disable mod and any mod to install should come with its own install command, either it is disabled.
I would suggest to get last Era version from Era II thread, then install SW, then go in mod manager and enable it, as the package has no install command.

I have done so a couple of times now. The problem is that nothing happens in the Mod Manager. Hitting disable/enable does nothing and it's the same with move up/move down.

What do you mean by install thing for a mod? I didn't write any installer stuff for this mod, just a folder with similar structure as the heroes folder. Is there something more I should have added for ERA 2.4?

Yes, when making the sfx/rar you must add in sfx options/run after extraction:
Tools\Installmod.exe "1 H2 Succession Wars"
If this command is not present, mod will be disabled after install (it can be enabled by mod manager though)

Ah, but this just puts the mod out of the _off_ folder and gives it priority correct? I believe just extracting the rar to the \mods folder turns it on if it has the 1 in front of the name...or am I mistaken?

OmegaDestroyer, paste here "Mods\list.txt" contents, please.
Kegolo, Era 2.4 removed dependency on folders creation time. File "Mods\list.txt" now contains ordered list of mods. No need in "1 H2 Successsion Wars" folder name, "H2 Successsion Wars" is enough.
All mods from era maps/mods thread contain this sfx command: Tools\installmod.exe "modname" and thus always install correctly on any Era 2+ version.

Thanks...I am a dinosaur then. Maybe someone wouldn't mind making the exe for the mod with correct sfx stuff and uploading...I don't have access to needed stuff at the moment.

Changed the panels up a bit and the hero icons to town icons, like you suggested Salamandre. They actually work even better I think, and more similar to the original Heroes 2. So after all the main fixing, bugs etc, I might change them to this type. Thanks for the suggestion lol
