Just because they can be part of the game without an eclipse doesn't mean they have to be. They aren't an always present faction and H7 could have them not present.

You really think that Ubi will not use them, especially when demons are main antagonists in Ashan?

Here's the thing. People are asking for different things regarding this. Some people want them out. Some people, like yours truly, would rather want them to be included in an expansion for a future installment.
The main purpose here, as far as I can tell,is that we'd realy like a shift in the story. Not an "OMD the Demons are coming to destroy us all" story again, we've had two of those already.

^This

I don't mind seeing again demons, as much as I don't main seeing again Haven, as long as next installment doesn't focus so much on Demons and on Haven Empire.

A more diverse campaigns, more like AB or Heroes IV campaigns would be great imo

Yes, having the Inferno OR the Necros as the evil villains is getting old.
However, in HoMM VI you can't say that it's the Demons who are the villains, at least not predominantly. Also, we've come a long way from the fixed roles of factions in HoMM 3 to the all-grey world of HoMM 6 where every faction can be good or evil alike.

Campaigns are a problem in so many ways. Connecting all campaigns with one and the same story may tempt some, but it's also a heavy commitment that make "side-stories" of the non-epic kind rather problematic.
Then you really have to ask what motivates to playing a campaign and whether carryover heroes are really such an advantage. I thought that campaigns in HoMM IV with heroes gaining up to a hundred skill levels (that you couldn't come even near on regular maps) made a lot of sense - still there was the drawback that the heroes would become immensely powerful.
With a more moderate level of hero-levelling like in Homm 3, 5 and 6, I'm not really sure that carryover heroes are the thing.
I had most campaign fun (not considering HoMM IV) with HoMM 2, the campaign motivation coming from other things. And if you consider the expansion of HoMM 2, it basically delivered only 4 short campaigns plus a load of new maps, but the campaigns were great.

What I want to say is, that CARRYOVER Heroes shouldn't be taken for granted or a matter of course. There MIGHT be campaign(s) with them - say, a short series of smaller maps, there might be campaigns, where you would start each map with a fresh (or level 3 or so) hero, and there might even be campaigns with carryover heroes where you hero would lose part of his progress at the start of a new map.

All these things are certainly open to debate, and I would be happy, if things could be handled with VARIETY.

That's why I say the best possible plot would be like this: 500 years after Dark Messiah, the Dragon Gods finally appear in physical form to clean the s*it up! Each faction would be caught up in a battle royale in a fight for their dragon gods supremacy. There would be no main antagonist as each faction would battle for their sake (of course temporary alliances would still be possible). Dragon Gods would be Bosses (also playable in special battles), and it would be possible to hurt them as their powers are diminishing because of blah blah a Meteor or the Void's influence (I'm looking at you Sandro) or something like that. Not only we would get to play many factions we would finally get a s*it load of dragons to play with, yeah! ...

...and then I woke up

ANOTHER TURN OF THE PAGE...

No I'm not thinking about something world ending . There can be various outcomes of the battle of dragon gods. One of them wins and reigns supreme, the other either die or loose their godly power. Or Asha and Urgash become one entity (so we have good and evil god) or they decide to divide the world in two by creating heaven and hell (as we know them from various sources ;D). I know, cheesy, but who cares as long as I can get as many dragons as possible

Yes, because all these eclipses are caused by Haven, Stronghold, Academy and Sylvan. Also all these races want to undone what Asha did and thus destroy the world itself.
Let's see: Irina's, Sandor's and Anton's campaigns - all end with Inferno bosses. Hell, even in Anastasya's campaign you are fighting against Inferno, before you can fix her personal matters.
Of course there is also story behind the scenes about crazy Michael but unfortunately it is poorly told and has nearly nothing to do with events in campaigns.

All-grey? When and where? Show me a moment in Ubisoft games where other faction then Inferno is showed as evil. Faction, not some chaos-tainted wizards, dark elves or misguided Medusa.
Even when we have Markal showed as "good" guy (at least not power-hungry but simply want to protect Heresh from madmen), it is later retconned, that he has just pretended this behaviour and really is as showed in HV (when he was poorly written).

Also, in HoMM 3 you had elven king Eldrich Parson who ordered kill a massenger, when he brought bad news, and also started Timber Wars with humans. And this event is only from H3 lore, not to mention all lore showed in RPGs.
You had even Necromancers in H3 which switched sides (and thus joined "good guys"), when they saw that it is the only option.

Quote:

Oh, I would like to see more "personal" campaigns like Crag's and Sandro's (not to mention all HIV campaigns) but so far all Ubisoft games are "the end of world is near and demons at the loose".
I don't really think, we'll see something else as games main storylines, at least in vanillia.

Let see:
1. HV - 6th Eclipse
2. Dark Messiah - Dark Messiah want to release demons from their prison and bring end of Ashan
3. Clash - Eclipse is coming and demons are helping in it (Azexes)
4. HVI - another Eclipse
5. DoC - what story? (so far nothing has happened)
6. Heroes Online - as above (nothing known about it yet)
7. Raiders - (Chaos) Dragon Crystals which demons wants for themselves (Haven too)

Now Ubisoft changed "all-eclipse themed" plots to "void-themed" plots, so insted evil demons we have now evil necromacers (Ariana's faction in DoC and Heroes Online trailer). As Erwan said himself, HV and DM takes place in "Dark Messiah Cycle" when all new games since HVI will take place in "Void Cycle".
Of course that doesn't mean H7 will still be in same cycle, but you have an idea like it can bee.

"all-grey" isn't evil. "All-grey" means that the factions are not good or evil per se, but depend on for what they are (ab)used by more good or more evil leaders.
Inferno isn't evil. Those are the creatures of Urgash (other than Asha's world, but the problems come from the Wars of creations, where Urgash used his creatures to battle Asha and her children - it's not their fault they are the way they are, they are imprisoned and they want out.
They are more like ... DIFFERENT.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

In H 3 we had 3 good factions, 3 evil and 2 neutrals (remember the campaigns?).

19 factions is maybe a bit to extreme, but me like this "dragon" part you are talking about

I've always wanted to see Dragonites or Dragonspawns (I'm not talking about a total ripoff from Warcraft of course) in a Heroes game. Horn of the Abyss Nixes are as close as you can get I suppose...

Tower can't be good. The wizards had no qualms about trying to get rid of the turncoat Yog just because they hated barbarians.

"Game suggested afinity" and "Character based presentation"

Sure Orcs should be on the Evil or Neutral side when it comes to their general description. But Was Gotai or kujin Evil? or even neutral? Was Kunjak, was Sandor evil?

On the other hand even with "evil kings" Castle and Rampert were always shown as those who "save the day" in heroes III, (not talking about Chronicles)

Sorry I made a mistake here because what I ment were Draconians, also called dragonmen (it's because I only knew their non-english name). Draconians are from Dragonlance series. They are made from "good" dragon eggs corrupted by dark magic and are ill-natured. There are also ones made from "bad" dragons eggs and to counter the above mentioned ones those are good natured. Basically those are humanoid dragons (kinda like lizardmen) usually armored as they are used as troops. And upon death, as there are a couple of variants of them, they cause various effects: burst with acid, turn to stone etc. (so there are many possibilities )

As for Dragonspawns:
