is a GREAT game. As a die-hard fan of Homm 1-4 I really enjoy this game. Don't judje game buy it's cover.
Especially it's not animu. It's simply cartoonish. Reminds me of H2 a bit.

i hope ubisoft sells the heroes brand to some publisher who cares more about homm than ubi
In an ideal world they'd give it back to JVC and NWC would be resurrected/reactivated/reloaded, which is just impossible, since he's working in EA now. (go figure)

It IS animu, and they had no reason to use that "style" other than the fact that it's simpler and more popular with the kids.
Besides, games are more like interactive movies than books.
Looks are important.

It may have Anime graphis (I agee with this on this game) but it still is a good game Avirosb, and that is a bit more important to me then looks these days.
Its harder t find a good game rather then good looking game:-).

Do you have a grudge against "animu"? and besides... what games apart of some CODs looks like movies? Heroes 1, 2, 3 ? Any of might and magic?
Please don't clime a game "bad" is you simply don't like it visual style. As for me I found all hand-drawn fraphics in this game gorgeous. Just look on the Griffon's attack animation!

Personally I like the style of CoH, after all, it's a spin-off. We can live with that
Besides, Heroes 2 wasn't the most serious graphics either.

Except for H3 and H6 (and to some extent H4), graphics in Heroes were never the most serious ones around.
And that's by no means a bad thing.
Apparently, the realistic-ish graphics are feast-or-famine/hit-or-miss in Heroes - Heroes 3, being arguably the best installment and Heroes 6 being the polar opposite (in most cases).
So what, Heroes VII with H5-style graphics again?

Don't care about clash of heroes having anime art(though it honestly sucks compared to other heroes art) but I'd find it a total disaster if a heroes was ever designed like that. Don't think we have anything to fear on that though. H6 has established the new heroes visual identity and ubi will stick with it.

I have bad feelings about this...
Especially about the horrors dwelling the Inferno.
And Necropolis.

Only when Western developers uses it for obvious marketing purposes.
You will also notice that I never explicitly called CoH a bad game, only that its visuals is a step down from even H5,
almost something you'd see in a flash game.
I never cared much for puzzle games anyway.

Eh, I'd argue that H2 (and certainly H4; the models just weren't supposed to be viewed up-close)
have more "realistic" graphics than H6 in terms of both anatomy and credible battle garments.

Maybe.
Cough, cough, Inferno spikes.

Quote: JVC also works at Electronic Arts, which means he has little credibility for me. He's in charge of Command&Conquer brand, and we all know how great RTS it is.
I also read in an interview that the original Heroes of Might and Magic was at least partially his wife's idea, not his.
Yeah, C&C4 sucked, but C&C1 (along with Dune 2) defined the RTS genre - two CDs, video/movie sequences, good multiplayer. I didn't play C&C2 much, but I think it was good too.
What don't you like about C&C1 and 3?

Inferno's H6 design is full of random spikes everywhere.

Just out of curiousity, how exactly should the demons look in your opinion? Gracious and gentle perhaps?
I think h6 has the most beautiful and realistic design from all heroes games. However good h5 is, creatures are just so ugly, just like its graphic in general.

I had not played since the beta but I've started playing through the campaigns now. I played the tutorial and the first map of the stronghold. It may be dumbed down somewhat but it is still a decent enough game with a lot of hours of playtime and replayability. I think the skill/spell system leaves a lot to be desired but it is what it is.

Isn't that, what the gaming business has taught us the last decade or so?
Wait for the ultimate edition of a game to come out - if, by then, it's good, buy it full-prized. This will support the industry, and you will get something worthwhile. If it has a couple of problems - wait until it's down to minimum price.
There are a lot of examples - the worst being Disciples III. I was foolish enough to buy Renaissance and Resurrection, but actually I would have to invest another 30 € for Reincarnation to finally get the game I'd have wanted to play in the first place - but now, since I've already invested nearly double as much, I'll wait with Reincarantion until it's down to 10 € or something.
Heroes VI complete is obviously a fairly decent game NOW.

Yeah,
things like these right?
- An old bug is back. It's impossible to create any custom hero.
Its is posible but.
- When playing a skirmish game, it's possible to select "random hero" for computer players, why can't human players select it ?
...
Or even this!
6. Slow time to exit - not fixed.
7. Copyright shows as 2012, should be 2011-2013.
No comments, just LMAO..
