Thanks for sharing that level of detail. How do you typically play it vs Ammar?

Cassa vs Ammar
You have to rush. Carefully estimate your whether you wanna take your first hand. Ideal hand has wolf captain(s), some mana acceleration and one of these: cleansing light/prison/soothsayer. You need a creature-rich hand. Bad hands include: multiple paos (Earth's Grasp may render them useless), bridges or lightning strikes. Angel of Mercy and praetorian is also not that useful.
I position my creatures to have dmg in every line as fast as possible to prevent damage to my hero and to kill his creatures.
Just a reminder: Ammar needs 6 magic and 3 fortune to start off, he can deal 18 dmg in one turn with one creature (4 Ice Weapons, 4 Springs, 1 dmg from the creature and one dmg from Strength of the Sea) but typically this is not possible. He is not scary without his combo so you can wait until he has 4-5 magic and 3 fortune to be concerned. Don't use paos or lightning strikes early in the game -> deploy your creatures to deal dmg. Be watchful of enemy bridges.
With your Soothsayers bring Prison - this should finish the game.
PS. Notice that i lost 3 times to the same guy, playing Takana.
PS2. Meloooooon will win this tournie with 391 TELO. I think i have never seen such a high TELO figure. He plays Crag Hack.

Nice Post.
Btw, Melooon is Hydramarine as far as I know.

You are talking about Mhr3 Invitational? I really want to see the VODs.
Was it 5-6-1 or 6-4-1(2) Adar?

There was a fair amount of Crag Hack and Takana both yesterday over 200 telo. Was an interesting change I was not expecting to see!

Crag seems to do well in JPot. But I prefer a little earth spells in it for board clear too...I know Crag should be all creatures and 2 x fortunes but just can't clear effective Haven / Academy troops...
Loving the rush though!

@RMZ1989
As far as i know Mhr3 Invitational finals should be cast this Sunday
I didn't know that he's hydra but srsly when you're first on the ladder you get around 10-15 TELO for a win and around 40-50 for every defeat. I don't think i would be able to get almost 400 TELO.
---------
Crag is so nasty and prolly the easiest hero to play. Yesterday i play vs Crag with 4 DAs at hand. My heroic defense was in vain.
-----------
Random thought
I wish jackpot would last for 2 or more days. Even with winrates around 70% you still have to play "on average" 24 games to achieve 10 more victories than defeats to guarantee T1. That's a major time commitment. This might be one of the reason why Crag is so popular in jackpot - it's the fastest deck.

Sure, but Crag not always reliable, very weak against Earth & AoE spells...as you put so many troops with low health points on the field, then all wiped out with one Wasp Swarm and you're sitting with an empty hand!
But yeah, I love my rush!

Decided to try a quirky Kami deck, good results and fun games so far, I'd be interested to hear what You think about it.

Looks good Poly, but what about some new Sayama Prowlers for extra outmanoeuvre? Would be good for Unmei-Kami's for direct access to enemy heroes....

Sayamas are 4 might, and my melee line is already full most times. Plus, dropping stuff would be hard, Paos might be ditchable, but I've already tried a Pao-free version, and found it lacking that extra edge.
Plus it's easier to stretch maxout against magic-heavy decks. Stealing stuff is not that reliable, and therefore not that important.

SotS will be nerfed Cost and requirement both raised to 4. FF and MoN won't be changed.

I think it's good news, FF should be nerfed to 4 cost I think though..
Crag is actually useless in jackpots....unless I am missing something, but after turn 5, he is finihsed.

Crag is regularly and routinely present over 200 telo in jackpots so he is far from useless. Now, I personally still don't really get how he does so well but he is clearly strong atm.

Crag is definitely quite strong, but his power depends on his starting hand quite a lot, or should I say a lot more than with other heroes, because if you don't get DAs in first hand, you would have a lot tougher time.
I played Crag Hack quite a lot on the ladder, and I too don't understand how they play him that high on the Jackpot. You will get to the random Necro that has 2-3 Spitters in his hand, or Dhamiria with Lurkers, Bloaters and Insect Swarms/Earthquakes, or you will just have quite a bad hand, and your DAs will start to get to you on turn 10 when they are almost a wasted card.
And it isn't some achievement, but Yesterday, I destroyed MELOOOOON on a ladder, he had Kelthor, and didn't have that bad hand at all, but I had stupidly amazing hand. I was on 20 HP and he was on 2 HP on turn 5-6 when he used Forbidden Flame, which let me play Blackskull Shredder(because I had a full board, couldn't play him. ).
So, in a sense, Crag is similar to Garant, that he can win anything, and can lose to anything, bad hands are a lot worse with rush decks after all.

Yes, sorry that's what I meant, not that Crag is useless, but that he can be unreliable.
@Nameless: that's a good deck on that site.
Still, as a rush deck (and probably the quickest rush deck) there is some sense of high risk for high return...so you wanna rush, expect some losses too...
Crag is particularily weak against a good Haven deck.
Anyway, just won a swiss achievement for using Stronghold. It was with Crag and Earth spells believe it or not!

Predictably, the Kami deck does quite well against spell decks, but tends to fail against rushes and almost pure creature decks. OTKs are quite funny, except Ammar, which can go both ways.

I have turned to Sanc now, and loving my Akane build:
- all outmanoeuvre creatures
- wind gust
- town portal
- lightning strike & lightning bolt
Gives me great lane control to get at enemy hero....
