It is this empire that existed a long time ago. Likely the explanation lies in MMX, which I haven't played yet.

Since when does a game have to have 100% of its content.. if all elementals from all game would be taken there would be 12+ of them.

Well in games i always liked wild, chaotic beigns and demons fit this correctly. Untill deliver an alien-insectoid something faction (dungeon is close to aliens with the dark theme, thats why I like them too) inferno will remain my favourite
I also love academy, even though they are neither chaotic and wild, but there is something magical about them.. you know

In the beta files there was also Mermaid but it's not here. Hmm... 
Shantiri Titan has new model not recycled one like Shantiri Golem which looks like Academy Golem and Lava Elemental merged into one unit.

12 neutrals is a good number, even if half of them are reskinned or recycled. I am a bit disappointed that there is no manticore, Phoenix, or unicorn.
I also wonder if we will actually be able to recruit ALL of them from a specific adventure map building. I feel like this is them saying, "yea it's possible to recruit any of them from the adventure map... Each creature has a fair .05% to be recruited from the mercenary camp each week, and that's it" 
I want specific buildings for gold dragons and demons..etc

Seven? Where the heck are you getting a seventh elemental? Prime? There's never been a neutral Prime Elemental.
In any case, I'm rather happy we aren't getting Light and Dark Elementals, if mainly because I don't want another "Light vs Dark" conflict that dominated the H6 storyline. Most people think of the classical elements when thinking of elementals anyway.

It's just that it wouldn't mean much extra work to press Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V 3 extra times to make it happen. They are all just H6 copies either way aside from the water elemental which is a H4 copy.

Because EVERYTHING is a ripoff purely on account of vague similarities!
And people in NO WAY want similarities to the NWC games! NO SIREE!

What got your panties in a bunch. All I said is that they are copies not that they were ripoffs. A ripoff would actually mean there are atleast subtle changes made to make them different. These are almost exact copies.

Is it me or does the water elemental resemble a lion?
The shantiri titan looks awesome, though I have to say the academy ones look stronger. The shantiri golem I don't like that much. I especially dislike the lego pieces on its shoulders.
There is indeed a lot of model recycling, but as it means we get more neutrals I don't really mind.

I would have been extremely surprised if we got away with a creature reveal if it hadn't contained atleast some spikes.

Not having Phoenix, manticore, unicorn and the lest in game now gives me hope that it will be more possible to have them as alternatives to some units in factions like the Griffin is an alternative to Dire wolfs in some maps or even having the choice to choose between them in times to come. Maybe the Phoenix could replace the Treant in some maps

Wild and chaotic Well in that case i understand your choice completely. I like the Dungeon for similar reasons... High attack and low defense, add some offensive destruction spells and im ready to go But i do not like any insectoids thou those i leave completely to you
