They sure did make an efford to not only make a crap game, but make sure we couldn't change it into something useful by any means.

The issue feature of being able to watch your enemy movements (battles & info?) will remain in the game as default. They might implement an option so you can't see the numbers & stats (didn't got that one clear).

The H7 dire wolf translation is different then any of the 3 variation in H6, and is still different than the most common variation.

i ad to leave the twitch stream... i hope one of you guys upload the session as ssoon as possible. i missed ALOT  of things said due to stupid buffering interrupts.

general feeling of h7 right now is pretty damn high, they answered like tons of things

Lol okay...so puck tiny butterfly dragon isn't going to change at all. Did they happen to mention if unit sizes were still being tweaked though? Like the giant hunters that make the rest of sylvan's army look silly

It was a nice stream though I wish I didn't see/hear politicians answering the questions so much instead of devs. Much better than the first stream though in terms of answers.

I'm completely depressed. Truth is, we shouldn't even need to mod the game in the first place. Honestly, I if I had the privilege to take decisions on this franchise, I would always seek advice from the very best players, put my ego on side and meticulously consider any core decision which has to be made before starting game development. One can always argue about preference, but knowing the game and not knowing it well actually matters, and that's verifiable via competitive playing.

Agreed. The atmosphere is great and I hope to see more of such streams.

Heroes will have predefined classes which cannot be changed in campaigns. And we well not be able to create our own hero for campaigns, or to mod them. So only one class will be avaiable for each campaign. Disappointing

As I recall they said the campaigns will have several heroes you play with, not just single hero so it might not be that bad. Not that I care that much about campaigns at any rate though.

i will try to summarize stream news:


from first 90 minutes:

-devs were playing multiplayer, which seemed to be working solid, unlike the beta & beta2.
-resize to dragon, may only happen after release.
-troglodyte has burrowing ability now(which is a teleport).
-they are working on archery & ranged attack mechanics to make it more balanced(less damage).
-visibility of adventure objects will eventually get better/fixed, but "how" or "when" is not clear.
-minimap remains visible in town screen & hero screens.
-theres no additional creature ability coming before release.
-devs will work on game even after release.
-when playing sim turns, you will be able see or not see your opponents battle. this will arranged in options by "toggle off/on". and plus that possibly another option to inspect or not-inspect enemy hero with right click.
-they intoduced "heropedia" a new feture consisting detailed info about game and its contents, as well as artworks.
-an advise from a fan in stream: "minimizing minimap" seemed considerable to devs.
-save file issues are "top priority" right now.
-warfare units are in work.
-A.I speed & intelligence, both of them allready got better shape(as a proof they show it in stream in irresponsible war map which is home for 8 players. it took somewhere around 1 min.), and it is still under developement.
-hero specs are not changeable during game, but it is possible with modding.
-in townscreen, when you build something, outlining buildings shine in heroes 3. "unfortunatly" devs are not bringing this.. maybe they said, after release.
-skills are moddable.
-visibility of resources and color variety between them, is being adressed at the moment.
-obstecles in battlemaps, probably, will be a bit more then beta2 version. it will have various different types of obstacles.
-total conversion, global modding.. things like that are possible, but through map based modding.
-for camera, there are already some options exist in game, but a rework is not possible, its a big and hard type of work.
-there will be some tweaks to how random skill system works.
-localization issues, "languages", are getting fixed at the moment.
-damage input info bugs are getting fixed at the moment.

Not like you could change your Heroes in H3 either. I don't see any issue here.

Aka patching and DLC. Don't worry, there is nothing wrong in that. Though they might as well try to remove any major bugs.

Well you know the community...
But to be fair even in heroes 6 the moddable campaign hero added some replayability so it was a fair question.. I m mostly a single player and it would matter for me. But lets hope the maps provide more replayability.
