Or it's a Jon Snow in the family. Send H6 to the Wall and have it be useful over there, let the others stay warm in their castle .

Well the corpse was never killed you see it was just fought to be dead put in some new burial clothes then tossed over the Wall where the Others gave it a shiny new glove.

Interesting read. I imagine it must be a pain in the a** to translate all these names. Some words don't even exist in some languages. I wonder how a word like 'warlock' would be best translated. The most common translations I have seen in games are using "male witch", "wizard", "sorcerer", etc, while words like "oath-breaker" or "perjurer" could feel more appropriate I think?... or maybe not :S
Maybe these words could sound too weird/not recognizable.
If I'm not mistaken, in english, both male and female witches are simply called witches.

yeah, I thought it was that way, but I did read somewhere that 'witch' was for both genders. :S

@Gryphs
iirc, 'warlock' word is related with treason. It meant someone that betrays the coven in the times of witch hunting or something like that, I think.

I am aware but in most circumstances that is the word that I have heard most commonly used as the male variant.

To tell the truth, the problem when translating are not the "Common" names like warlock, or elementalist, since each language has one or two unique names which you can play mix and match with. And if you are truly lost, you can always pick up your local D&D variation rule-book for inspiration
For exampla the translation I use for Warlock is "Černokněžník" -> it is a form of an evil magician and could be directly translated as "Dark Lord/Lord of the Dark"
The names that causethe most problems are the creative new names like "Starsinger" or "Earthshaper" since the language usually can't bend itself like english can, and not sound idiotic. Best translations would be short sentences, but those often do not fit the system.
One example of all. Faceless is a great name in english combining the word Face and the suffix less creating the meaning Whitout/lacking a face.
What the translation ended up like? THe most diect would by an morphological equivalent but the Czech one would be "Beztvářný" which would be a pain to work with in sentences. I choce the short sentence option "Ten bez tváře" meaning "The one whitout a face". But the official translation gave it the crown with the short sentence "Zrůda bez tváře" meaning "Monster/abomination whitout a face"
So yes, an inteligent ancient race is officialy named "Monster/abomination".

I find it a bit unimaginative to be honest.
Just giving them a proper made-up nonsense name would have been far simpler as it wouldn't need to be translated.

"Czarnoksiężnik" actually is originated from "Czarna Księga" (Black Book), from which he learnt all his knowledge and power, so his English name should be more like "Black Book Scholar"... but is very often name for Warlock.
After all the Black Book is a "gift" from Devil and "Czarnoksiężnik" is always associated with black magic, the Devil but also great power and knowledge.
Side note: Wizard is sometimes translated as "Czarnoksiężnik" (Wizard of OZ for example) so this name can have good meaning, but there is always a bit of fear (and vast knowledge) associated with that name.

At least you have more or less accurate translation. Faceless in Polish is named "Bezimienny" (one with no name, Nameless), so you can guess how funny is to read: "Hello, I'm Nameless and my name is Jorgen."

You can watch it later in twitch archive or just look for it on YouTube later.
What is crazy OP is Tsunami spell - with mastered WM. Its like good old Armageddon but only for the opponent side
Same goes for Earthquake - crazy damage for both walls/towers and creatures standing on the ground. Just combo those with flying creatures!
