Hmm a Pirate map you say. Would that be 'Lost Tales of Axeoth'?
It is surely coming as I have the ability to already start playing it at work!
You'll be able to enjoy that content very soon, should all go well!
I'm Marzhin is still around but just incredibly busy, like making those maps for you guys.
This game should be firstly fixed as regrads technical issues. Bugs, otpimalization, crashing ...
No additional content has a sense until then. (But I am looking forward to it)
These things are not mutually exclusive. We have people making content whilst others work on fixing the remaining bugs, along with optimization and whatever else. It's not a one or another scenario.

I think he meant to say that if a game experience is spoiled by bugs and technical issues, more content is just more of a game experience spoiled by (potentially even more) bugs and technical issues - not to mention the fact that people who are pissed over a spoiled game experience are a lot less likely to spend more money on a still spoiled game experience than on a finally working one.

Yes but also people making additional content often are not specialized in bugs track and fix, this is the programmer job. So you still have the former working (they are hired to do that) on what they know to do, until the contract expires.

In that case you can safely say that there are too many too soon on the former and not enough on the latter, because fixing broken stuff should have priority over delivering more broken stuff, because you cannot expect people being annoyed over the fact something they bought is broken will pay money in order to become even more annoyed.
I mean, if you cannot really make use of something you don't invest more money into it unless you CAN make use of it, right?

Tales of Axeoth is supposed to be a free dlc though, or at least that's what's been said. A crowd pleasing effort from Marzhin that in the end will probably get weighted down by all the bugs and technical issues is what I think we'll most likely see.

People know what I think about this. H4 campaigns belong in H4. Why would I need to buy H7 if I want to play these? I do not agree of this.

I don't see why anyone would not want them to see the light of day. It is a pity that we didn't get them back in H4 but better late than never.

When did that stoped something from seeing the light of day? Hey, I don't like H4 gameplay, but the story aspect should be great so this is a way for me to experience it.

With the current outlook of H7 they are bound to be wasted for that game.

I wouldn't want to return to H4 to be honest. I liked it back in the day but lost interest within months. Didn't find it as addictive as the previous games and it was actually tiresome in extended playthroughs.

I actually liked a lot of the changes and the direction they were headed. They still kept the heroes feel dispite so many different mechanics. Definitely the best skill/magic system in the series for me.

Whatever the problems Heroes 4 had, the campaigns were some of the better-written ones in the series. If there are several unpublished ones, I don't see a single reason why not to release them, instead of locking the scripts up forever in some cellar.
With Ashan being such a generic setting, I'd love to get some of that Erath... Axeoth nostalgia.

H4 and H6 had many new stuff added, but not explored and polished after. Instead, both in H5 and H7, things got pruned directly. I think both times they lost opportunities for improvements, each in its own level, of course.
For me, the difference was that the changes in H4 I truly liked (but needed tweaking and polishing), whilst H6 changes were terrible for my taste and repelled me.

I agree. I always liked H4 I still play it occasionally to, despite the flaws.
