If memory serves me right, we had one tavern Necro ghost hero in H5 (he was ressurecting fallen enemy units as spectres instantly) and one from Conflux shop in H6 (Ishtvan, though I don't remember was he for Haven or Necro).
Overall, I'm all behind revenant heroes.

Well we had one in clash of heroes fiona the necro hero was a ghost. Yeah I would like those kinds of heroes as well.

I'm not really mad at the overuse of green, but maybe because I like the visual effect of bio/toxic green over black.

I was mad at the emo kids and everyone being a vampire in the making thing. If they went with the egyptian/mesopotamian style, we could've had mummies and loads of lore added on them (and please, no more Lamasu ever again, I'm ok with Namtaru's though).

How long's it been since we voted Sylvan? The faction, not the line up. 3 weeks? They'd've realy been working their arses off if that was the case. That's of course if it was true that they made nothing before and during the vote.

Necro and Stronghold units are more realistic.. but since we are most likely going to see the QC/IG demo, I expect nothing new for us. For those less fanatic the some new academi units.

When they don't even think about such propability that Limbic doesn't have enough budget to implement everything.

It's a "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained"-game, Wellplay. If the wished don't make themselves heard, they won't ever get granted.

It's a lot like Swamp-Fortress. If we don't demand it's return every so often, they'll think we've forgotten or given up and we'll never get it.

On the Town Development post:

All faction towns have different structures from each other.

Academy -> access to Magic Guilds earlier
Haven -> fast access to the strongest possible walls
Stronghold -> offer dwellings before more elaborate buildings

Haven's one seems only a benefit in the long-term (who cares in week 2 to build town walls?).
Stronghold having access to more dwellings early on is cool, but might be similar to the H6 vibe where it has access to an elite dwelling on first town level.

I always try and build dwellings as a priority, in any heroes game.

That depends, if Fortifications boost unit growth, there is something to think about. And let's face it, Fortifications always did boost growth in one way or another.

So in the case of Stronghold vs. Haven it's about Variety vs. Quantity.

True, but that's not realy in contradiction of what I said.
But if it is true that they are trying to go back to the baseline set by HIII, then it's very much possible that fortifications have a bigger impact on growth then upgrading dwellings does.

But most of this is idle speculation anyways.

Of course the speculation can only be huge after H6, anything can happen lol. Erwan said he would keep some stuff from H6, so far I only heard confirmation of non-random skilltree (apparently "improved borrowing some elements from H5" if I got it right) and area controls.
So your point made me wonder about this one (fortification/growth) that's all.

Kimmundi was browsing the Sahaar Orcs thread a while ago. Maybe we're in for a surprise in the near future. They should have at least some assets developed for those 4 primary factions..

What would Necros town building priority be? Or sylvan/dungeon.
There are only so many ways to start developing a town and giving each faction a different advantage is going to be hard.

They will for sure come up with something. For example Sylvan cities require less resources to build analogous buildings than other factions (pro-eco theme).
