language, please. Using "rape" in this context is not a very good thing to do.
Having seen the unupgraded spider i am now convinced they lack pedipalps and thus should not be called spiders. Ubi, i am dissapointed 
unupgraded spiders also looks like 50 times better. what's the deal, ubi?

I don't see the problem? No, they won't look much better, it is the same f*cking concept of H6, except that models of Liches and Lamasus are even worse than in H6.
I don't have problem with Vampire Knights, and never did, but these looks horrible.
At least Grim Rider is awesome and has deserved champion spot.

Ok, my thoughts:
I really don't like, that we got the same elites as in Heroes 6. Lich is just ugly and I never liked Lama Su . Vampire seems to be OK for me, althrough I always liked "Christopher Lee" from HoMM2 or Count Orlok from HoMM3.
Nevertheless, I don't hate them, I just prefer Mummy for Lamasu and more "classical" lich concept... but we got what we have and they are not as bad, a Ubisoft could done them (*cough* neon green and spikes *cough*).
Champions on the other hand... I think Ubi/Limbic has hit a jackpot with them. While Bone Dragon is H6' model, its doesn't look bad and its boned wings are nice done.
And now cherry on the top - Grim Reapers. Our loved Death Knights return in their undead glory and not onlythey are terryfing but also know how to dress.

"you want skeletal but you wont get it, instead we gave you bald floating angry vampires"
worst elites in entire game, even maybe in entire series.
champion spot on the other hand look really good with lotr riders/grim reaper fusion + bone dragon.
thats what happens when you design a game with low budget+arrogance.
designing a game is a process, and its gotta be shown during in early stages to get some fan advice. now this is a confirmation of an finished job.
even if everyone wants them to change elites, they wont change it because its allready nearly finished...
*sigh*

That's quite the same feeling I have. I ha ve nothing against Necropolis in Heroes VI (except its "Necromancy") but those elite units are really disappointing. On the bright side, however, I really like Grim Riders. They are really well done units (at least in terms of looks) but overall this Necropolis is sad. 
PS. I have still some hope that upgrades of these units will look different from ones from Heroes VI.

I hate the elites. Even if they used H6 3D-models, they could at least add some minor differences (I mean, they have the original models and tools), not just change color.

While the champions are awesome, the elites are just... ugly as hell. It's the same as h6, lamassu has the ugly hag face again, the vampire is Arthas-copy-paste and the lich is just the wannabe uncle Fester. Why? And all these descriptions which want to underline how "good are them and how much they respect Asha" makes me wanna puke

My feelings about this is pretty good.
I liked the idea of the Lamasu, so they can just make it's stats a bit better to make it more useful. Since there is no Manticore, I would accept it's dead cousin.
The Vampire, I still don't mind, though I hope it gets a movement upgrade. Those 4 spaces a turn in H6 was atrocious. Lets hope they learned some tricks in the past 200 years.
Liches... Their looks are still underwhelming, but now that the Ghoul is gone, they look less like Ghouls. I can only hope the upgraded Lich head is a skull, because then I would have more reasons to upgrade them on the double.
Bone dragon, besides it's weird alpha-looks, seems nice. It seems to have learned from Clash of Heroes, and seems to eat other things, though mostly already dead corpses. I wonder how that will pan out?
Grim Rider/ Reaper is a nice middle ground between the Wraiths of H5 and the Dread Knights of H3. And, it's a champ to boot. Nice. Hope it's skills can hold itself up against that Bone Dragon as well.

Overview of shown factions so far
- Slyvan- Utter crap.
- Necropolis- Utter, reclycled crap.
- Haven- Great. They at least tried here and refreshed the knights as much as it can be done
- Dungeon- Mixed feelings.
- Academy- Don't like them, never did, but I think they look great.
- Stronghold- Unknown, not yet revealed

Lamassu finaly looks like something that has been put together out of different corpses than something that was put together, killed and then resurrescted. Gives it a nice Frankenstein kinda vibe. I kind of like that.
Vampire need to loose the botox. Other than that it is more tolerable looking than the fully pimped out ones from H6. Kind of afraid of the upgraded one tbh.
As for the Lich... turns out it only needed less green and more gravelight to make it resemble a proper dark wizard. Looks kind of pissed off tho, not sure how well that works with the whole monk-like asha-uses-all feel I got from Arantir and Markal.
Bonedragon needs less bone. Sounds kind of stupid but it looks too filled out. Either add decayed flesh or remove some bonematter.

2) Necropolis is the timeless, undying faction. If one faction should remain very similar, art-wise, from one game to the next, it’s the Undead.
3) The H6 models were already very detailed, so there was no point in doing new models for essentially the same designs.
Basically we can just go snow ourselves.
