Sure but instead of being and sounding goofy, I want to see something extremely dark, maybe even similar to mother character in "The Binding of Isaac". Thwy tried to do that with Anton but I find it rather grotesque.

Just out of interest - what boss fights are you talking about? Never had such problem.

The devs would better make Heroes 7 good, because they will cave competition (Age of Wonders 3's expansion comes with a new class - Necromancer- and 2 new races - Frostlings & Tigrans)

There's always some competition for each entry, yet I always found Heroes of Might and Magic series (Ubisoft or not) to have just the best mechanics/simplicity/depth/feeling of being at home in comparison to other TBS games. And believe me, I tried a lot of them, and probably only Disciples series and Kings Bounty remakes (though KB don't have that much replayability, hell, it's only one long campaign) have come close to them. That's why I'm (and probably many people on this forum) always so stingy about the series and it's ups and downs

Saw the Necro Town Screen and it is very dark in there.
So dark in fact, that you will have to play the faction in order to figure out what was built and where it is situated on it.
Has a mayan look with all of these staircases. I suspect that the level 7's creature dwelling will be situated at the very top of the not so steep built pyramid.
Dark blue and black, can't get a town any darker. Good work Limbic!

The one-on-one where you can't use magic if I recall correctly.

Ahh Aratrok, Well you can, you only have it a bit harder. Actually it was hardest for me with a rogue build rather then the mage one

Dave_Jame asnwered for me You can, just a few more orcs will intervene. And on your second playthrough (when you know that boss fight is coming) you can fire trap the whole room beforehand which makes this fight trivial.

Heh, I actually got extremely lucky and beat him in about 3-4 seconds. He charged at me and slipped on some oil and fell in front of me, so I stabbed him on the ground. Most unintentionally hilarious boss battle EVA, especially after his long speech. I hope this version of his death becomes canon

He's not that hard actually. Just knock him down with the staff, keep hitting, knock him down again when he gets up.

ROFL Too bad you haven't recorded it!

Hm... I'm not sure what I understand what you mean by "jack of all trades" (afaik it's a class that specializes a little bit in everything) - fire trap is a spell, it's used by mages. On your first playthrough Aratrok suprises you, but on your second you can prepare for the fight beforehand.
But iirc you can build jack of all trades from Sareth, it still be as viable as other classes (or even weaker, for you won't be able to fully develop even 2 skill branches).

I don't remember, in any case it's not a game I ever considered playing twice.
I liked the demo but the game itself was a major let-down.

really like the female one. male could do with less exposure since, you know, desert and snow. seriously though, love 'em
EDIT: love how everyone is flipping their snow about water magic. can't think of any magic more important if you live in a freakin' desert.
