Marzhin, can you tell me what's the meaning behind names of some elven cities? I only know the most obvious ones - capitols. What about the rest? There is also a little bit about language in the Ashan Compendium but I wish I could learn more. Does some kind of small elvish dictionary exist somewhere in your private "data box"?

Right... you challenge anyone to an impossible goal of gaining populist support on a topic everyone specifically here opposes. Because that's what a QP is, apparently, given all the insistence that this farce is worthy of it.
Galaad said: Edit: I need to say how much I disagree with your statement though. And how much I don't understand how you can find it worth a fight to criticize the way one is expressing himself, especially when you entirely misunderstand his position.
In the words of Magneto, "Once again, you think it's all about you." What makes YOUR viewpoint so special? Why do YOU need to have the last word?

More about Elven names and Elven language is in one of lore book in MMX, which you can find during your adventures.
EDIT:
Lord Kilburn said: The Elven tongue, is one of Ashan's oldest languages, a fact made evident by the many places and landmarks bearing names of Elven origins. Even Elrath, our Dragon God, is known to us in his Elf name, simply meaning "Dragon of Light".

That's not basic glossary. What about "thank you" or "hello" or "I'm going to freaking murder you, you pointy eared tree-hugger"?
That is what I would like to learn first in Elvish language when comunicating with elves.

The_Green_Drag said: What are the free cities all about? Neutral units live there?
Hi Green Drag, The free cities are towns and settlements mostly founded, or largely inhabited, by Humans, who, when the empire took Elrath as their god, did not want to give up their old god Ylath.
Now they are usually city states independent on any major country ran by merchants, councils, craftsman or nobles.
They usually act as trading post between lands, a neutral ground for all to come. But also as safe hideouts for various wanted people and/or illegal organizations like the notorious Blackfang organisations or pirates in general. Some had more luck, and benefit from specialized guilds like the wizards of house Chimera in Karthal or the Windswords mercenary group in Seahaven.
The population of each city varies, but generally you can find all races in them. From humans, to elves, dwarves, orcs or naga.

...Elves are apparently terrible at naming their gods.
All hail Order, the Dragon of Order! All hail Light Dragon, the Dragon of Light!
I'm starting to see the issues people have with Ashan's lore.

There's no bathrooms in Ashan. You go where you need to go. Mostly behind a bush or next to a tree. You then use magic to clean after you're done

Or, or, you could assume that, since their names are formed from those words, or the other way around, that in their language they might be used in a different way.
Example: Temnovládce is a name that could be translated as the ruler of darkness from my language. You could make a direct translation or you could keep the name and express its meaning in a later sentence. For example "All shall kneel before our lord Temnovládce, the ruler of darkness". The final part would not be used in the original language. The same is when you use a general word as a proper name for something. See god and allah for that particular crash course. Both meaning the same.
Nobody would say My allah Allah, or My god God.
OK I'm done.

I don't think that many important things are missing, we don't need to mark every cave, shipwreck or ruin :-).
On the other hand, such thing as the temple of Ylath could be there, About the ruin. let the people find one or tw things Karthal is there, as are the major setlment like Sudgerd, Seahaven Sorpigal and the Crag.

And the way you started this Quote: I challenge anyone to gain a QP by defending the Spider-cult.
This is not a phrase one would use to invite people to a discussion, this is a phrase a douche would used to make his point when he runs out of new ideas to defend his own. A "prove me wrong" attitude. You have no right to challenge anybody.
I don't see a problem with that, it's an open challenge to whoever is willing to answer it. In this particular issue, I see a lot more people defending a spiderless necropolis than the one we got and that is more or less what he was trying to convey. And of the latter, I don't see many defending the spideropolis with unbridled passion. I don't see this as much of a deal to be honest.
