No. It wasn't written in the description.

Nah, it's just the King flushing the toilet all the time in the capitol.
Seriously, it still looks horrible. Building scaling is off, as is perspective, as others have already pointed out. I don't know which artist has worked on them, but he or she lacks depth perception, or at the very least is ineffective in transferring that to an image.
If they go live with these screens, I really hope that other people will be able to provide mods with better designed townscreens.

I don't want to criticize the artist just yet because I don't know the circumstances behind this.
Could be s/he was forced to hurry because Ubi wanted something to show off and as such the current situation is understandable.
But yeah, hopefully dedicated modders will be able to create new screens like they were meant to be:

I think for me the biggest problem is that when I see it, it looks like a collection of buildings that have been made individually and with no thought for the greater context. Each of the buildings look fine - really good, even, if a bit uniform in style - but the "town" overall has no coherence and doesn't feel like a town at all, but just a set of disconnected buildings randomly strewn out over the area with no thought about the overall design and layout.
Once again I have to post this image to show the contrast.

That thing on page 9 is a town no more than a pile of vegetables is a soup. Yet another Heroes VI deja-vu, the concept of the "reworked" town screens was identical there - randomly positioned production buildings on an empty background. Household not included in the budget (probably eaten by Elrath's infinite mercy, Elrathu Akbar).

Yea, in comparison to those HVI atrocities new screens look like works of renaissance painters.

They look better but they still need quite a polish to be considered as nice. I find personally the Haven town screen to look better than Academy one, but I think the arcchitect consumed a little bit to much of (in)famous mushrooms from Ygg-Chall.

Same here.
H7 townscreens might be an improvement over what H6 offered, but I doubt they'll become unforgettable like H2/H3/H5 TS.

I think this townscreen looks miles better than its Heroes 6 equivalent(s), but it still needs work like a wall that goes around the entire town and moving some buildings around. For example, have the Justicars' Tower and the Proving Grounds switch places. This way the Cuirrasiers will be placed next to the stables and they actually need horses. Another example is the Resource Silo, which should be moved somewhere closer to the town's centre. Considering the fact that the buildings are projected on a background, moving buildings around should not be too much work. I hope they do give this towncreen a bit more work, because I do like the overall theme, but it just needs some better structuring.

I agree with you. The theme is good, but the buildings are not good at all. I'm getting that "bright and shiny" feeling again when I'm looking at it. I was imagining a wolf dutchy being more rugged and darker. And the placement, lack of civilian buildings, and that statue... I don't think it needs just a bit of work, but a lot more.

Yeah that is something I've missed in both of the currently revealed townscreens, no civilian homes at all. So I guess no one lives in any of these cities except soldiers and commanders?

There are a few buildings scattered throughout that doesn't seem to be of any importance,
yet look distinct enough to fool people into clicking on them.
Maybe everyone live there?
