All I know is that i want Abysall worms. Worms are generally disgusting creatures, and disgusting fits with Inferno's theme

A volcanic creature cannot be disgusting (with the exception of breeders)

Pretty cool lineup there Moonshade. I feel like this transformation thing really suits the demons considering they morph and take different shapes. But like you, I don't know if Ubi will decide to go in that direction with combat abilities. Although it would be cool to have shapeshifting units, I'd like to see that for sure.

Not too fond of moonshade's lineup, personally. People might complain about too many big red demons in other lineups, but look at this lineup: imp (humanoid), evil human, traditional cerberus, succubus (practically human), efreet (evil genie - looks mostly human), evil human on a horse, pit lords, and abyssal worms. All we're doing here is trading "red horned humanoids that, despite human-like shape, are clearly not human" with "actual humans but corrupted." Kinda strikes me as one-step-forward-two-steps-back. I'd rather stick with big red devils and leave the straight-up evil humans to the Hero units.

And is it too much to ask that people come up with a better alternative upgrade for the efreet? Say... "Iblis"?

About the line-up comments...

First, thnx everybody for the good comments.

To Kimauros- well, the line-up might look too "humanoid" but also if you look at say, D&D, the ranks of Demons and Devils are mostly composed of humanoid creatures. And if Ashan Demons are meant to be mockeries of the children of the Dragon Gods, that even has a lore-fitting explanation. Also, the Imps for example don't necesarily have to be humanoid- they can be more bat-like, for example. The Zealots' possessed form also doesn't have to be humanoid. And even the humanoid creatures can be "upgraded" with chaotic features like extra arms, eyes, boobs (for Succubi...) tentacles etc. They don't have to look proportionate and nice.
Also, if Chaos Knights are too much humanoid/a Warhammer rip-off (I just like the concept and think they could look and function really cool), they can always be replaced by unridden Nightmares, or my idea for an adaptating/constantly morphing Chaos Morph unit (appearing like a blob of eyes and tentacles, changes abilities either at random or according to last attack sustained- serving as a unique tanky Elite).

As a personal opinion, I think Inferno should have at least one "evil human"/cultist unit, to emphasize the corrupting nature of Chaos. Necropolis should also ideally have one, though not necesarily on the front. For example, I had an idea for a Necrolyte Warfare unit, without significant offensive abilities but being able to constantly cast Raise Dead- serving as the Undead's "First Aid Tent".

iblis just means "demon" in middle eastern culture/religion. i say a strong no to this suggestion.

by the way, i m not giving up on arch-demon guys. very coolline-ups, but still they lack arch-demons charismatic presence. liked breeder as warfare/champion, liked infernal knight, liked chaos wizard creature, but still, no arch-demon no upvote for me

Reason I cut Archdemons/Devils...

I wanted a more bestial Inferno and to put in Abyssal Worms, and I think they deserve nothing less than Champions (being former Boss creatures- though they can be explained as spawn of the original Abyssal Worm Boss). Anyhow, because of their burrowing ability- which works similarly to Teleport- they kinda fill the same nieche like Devils. And Pit Lords are much cooler with their Balrog-like design.

If people still insist on Devils' inclusion, so Abyssal Worms should be reduced to Elite tier and replace Chaos Knights, also losing the powerful Swallow Whole ability on the way (what can I do, Succubi and Efreeti are a must!). Then, Devils can be placed as Champions alongside Pit Lords, emphasizing the Inferno's charismatic and seductive side as opposed to the Pit Lords' pure destruction and hate.
But then Inferno will also have 4 flyers/teleporters- Imps, Efreeti, Worms and Devils (though Imps could then lose their flying ability).

This is the dullest, worst, most uninspired lineup ever. Gog/magog is redudant with the superior succubus there and so is the incubus. Red dragons dont even exist in Ashan. Are you trying to destroy Inferno?

Actually, in H5 they were the alternate upgrade of Shadow Dragons, on equal footing with Black Dragons.

If earth dragons look like Sylanna, it's not a stretch to get red dragons looking like Arkath. But magmazillas are way cooler

Personally, I favour the Arkath style over the magmazilla. I have a preference to winged dragons, and the "big, red, fire-breathing, flying dragon" is too iconic in my mind to pass up.

I'm not sure what dragons have to do with Inferno tho. I feel that an Abyssal Worm is a more suitable counterpart.

Agreed to that. The Worms even look a little bit like Urgash's draconic form on the official site, so they would be a natural fit.

Indeed. My prior comment was more of a digression than anything else.
