Not really, H7 isn't that moded yet, because it isn't really popular and it has bad PR, but in my opinion Heroes VII is a good game, but heavily underrated.

Exactly it is not modded much because it isn't really popular.
Bad PR? The PR campaign was very strong and the community was extremely active in the end of 2014 and during 2015, the fact the game didn't live up to its expectations, at all, is what has been negative. If the game would have really been what initially advertised, things would be better. To me seems evident the game is not popular because it's just not really good. The standards used to be higher.
Sure you can think that, and you are entitled to your opinion, like all of us.

You'd be very surprised how many people are waiting for H7 to be modded to something amazing.
I tried to ignore this, but may I lol?
If I'm not mistaken, not the modders but Bullshisoft and the Limbic Warriors are the ones who got your money. Twice.
WTF? LOL!
I'm also waiting for the dead Fritz Wunderlich to become the great Heldentenor he should have been and surpass the also dead Wolfgang Windgassen. Wish me luck.
I have never said I was satissfied with how the development looked like or with Ubisoft's behaviour, have I?
I can hate the publisher, still liking their game.

I'm not talking about the attitude towards anyone, I'm talking about the absurdity of waiting for the modders to fix what Limbosoft has been paid to deliver two times already (with more than full price, may I add).
Did I mention the potential? I also hope someone would resurrect the above mentioned Fritz Wunderlich.

You know... if we are using official support criterion, that mean H3 is dead for years, but people are still playing and moding it. I see no problem here
BTW I think changing gold mine model to that from H6 is a good idea
....

I don't think that parallel you made is quite accurate. H3 vanilla was optimized (it was running acceptable even on Pentium 1) and relatively bugless at the release. The very few bugs weren't game breaking and were ruled out at Armageddon's blade release. Not to mention that the game was addictive and still is. All above said means that game had very solid foundation. It's true though that at the beginning H3 wasn't so mod friendly until some tools were developed by the community. H7 is easier to mod on theory because Unreal engine but the editor that was developed is total crap. It requires ton of ram, more than the actual game, and it's super unstable. The constant crashes are not appealing to the modders at all, don't you thing? And the game is not popular in general because many, many reasons major of which are terrible optimization, poor game design, bugs and of course awful advertisement.
Regarding the modding, maybe I'll make one update of the resources if I have some time to finish the Alchemist lab's model. This is the current state:
I don’t see how H6 gold mine looks better than the H7 one.

Version 2.2.1 (sorry but I don't have binary file of v 2.1) was encoded to prevent disassembling the code. You need decode-unpack binary file before to be able to get disasm code. 64bit SDK Generator was included in source code on github. You need to take into account MMH7 is 64bit pe.

The fact that NWC released RoE 1.1->1.4 to fix a lot of bugs and even add functionality is great, but let's not kid ourselves that RoE 1.0 had "very few bugs". Anyone who played HD Edition would know, and that even had some fixes not in 1.0 (but still far from all of 1.4's).

I don't know if you've played vanilla h5, h6 and h7 but you can't compare, in comparison RoE 1.0 was frigging polished. I mean as far as I can remember it worked out of the box with no insane issues like black screens, repeated crashes, skills disappearing or memory leaks to name a few. H7's support has now ended after patch 2.2.1 and the game is still broken.

Maybe you're right. Now I can recall one major bug: when you retreat from battle, you can buy your hero and the whole remaining army from the tavern. That's why we had an agreement when we're playing hot-seat mode: not to retreat battles or disband the army when your hero retreat and buy it again. I haven't played H3 HD so I don't know if this bug appears there. Still, as Galaad said, if we compare the recent iterations' vanillas to H3 one...

Sorry, my mistake. I have 2.2.1 too. It's looks that exe is encrypted with "Denuvo". Is there any way to unpack it and disasm?

Yes it was encrypted by Denuvo. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denuvo. They started to use the protection after v 1.8. I do not think that decoding is so easy, but possible.

I give up . I'm not familiar with debugging encrypted code. If you'll find way how to hook MMH7 v2.2.1 please write about it on HC. Thank you for sharing code and suggestions.
Maybe someday Ubisoft will publish MMH7 without DRM .
