The Clone Wars: 6 out of 10
The Revenge of the Sith: 8 out of 10
A New Hope: 9 out of 10
The Empire Strikes Back: 10 out of 10
The Return of the Jedi: 8 out of 10
The Force Awakens: 7 out of 10
I like them all even tough none of them is perfect, except The Empire Strikes Back

Both prequels and VII are being produced too fast. They should have been beter or equal to original trilogy. People would watch them too of they had more original threads and characters. For some time I hoped that new owner - Disney would have made them good. Maybe new directors will bring some freshness in next episodes like it was in V and VI.

I agree about the fast part, but how do you mean to make them equal to the originals ? I mean, the prequels did have original characters, but they fell short, and TFA is taking cues from the original, and yet some don't like that...

First of all good plot. Why make next movie if its not better than previous ones. Its Star Wars it should be exellent. No crappy basic droids and spaceships of Trade Federation. Republic ships could be more diffrent than those of Empire. Clones and droids on both sides etc... No repeated sentences...

Well, I disagree about that. The Trade Federation was cool, but the way the Republic just happened to get the Clone Army by finding that planet, how Dooku played it a bit weak and the big deal about Anakin as the sci-fi Christ and showing him as a little brat didn't do it for me.

Okay, I just watched all the Star Wars movies again just to see how badly this 7th episode delivers. It's easier to make a comparison now when my memory's been refreshed, reason why I'm convinced that The Force Awakens is even worse than I had previously thought. Since everyone's been giving ratings, here are my own:
The Phantom Menace: 7/10
Attack of the Clones: 8/10
Revenge of the Sith: 9/10
A New Hope: 6/10
The Empire Strikes Back: 8/10
Return of the Jedi: 7/10
The Force Awakens: 3/10
The movie is utterly ridiculous. The plot is weak beyond belief and reenacts previous scenes. Characters behave like total idiots. Severe lack of chemistry, especially pronounced with Leia. Events defy any line of reasoning or common sense. Starkiller base in concept and practice is close to complete bollocks. Everything appears so childish but it desperately wants to be taken seriously. The Force was mocked throughout the entire movie. Snoke is badass but Kylo Ren isn't, in fact I'd say he's way more of a baby throwing tantrums on computer terminals than a Sith in the making. Who the hell serves people with phrases like "You know I can get whatever I want", lol. And all this is just scratching the surface. There are SO many things it did wrong it's unbelievable. Not to mention things that it SHOULD have done but it didn't, they're missing entirely. No political intrigue, no interior struggle (except Kylo's which wasn't THAT bad but a far cry from Vader's), no deeper meaning to the conflict, no feeling of loss and mourning after 5 planets were obliterated?! Billions of people dying but Leia gets screentime to appear disturbed only by Han Solo's "death"?! And oh boy don't get me started on that ending. Ayy lmao, the world lame just got a new definition. The legendary / mythological Luke Skywalker sitting there with the dumbest look I've ever seen, watching how that girl was holding his lightsaber to him for an eternity. All that journey to conclude with that epic moment. /Facepalm.
You can all go ahead and think of it as hating but that's just far off from what I'm really feeling. It's regret. An opportunity to continue this great saga with something awesome, but all we get is a half baked parody mocking at the legacy of the past movies. For shame.

i disagree. i think what is utterly ridiculous, is that you think any of the prequels are better than the originals. it's time there was an intervention. put the crack pipe down, man.

Remember your opinion is just what you felt and experienced about the movie. The responce of the people speaks for itself. I have visited movie site IMDb for years and the most interesting part of it's the rating system. Now you don't need to agree whit the majority but when you are in minority you can't go shouting: "Mint is the best flavor and chocolate is the worst!" Well, of course you can but that does not make your opinion a valid.
The IMDb Star Wars ratings today:
The Phantom Menace: 6.5
The Clone Wars: 6.7
The Revenge of the Sith: 7.6
A New Hope: 8.7
The Empire Strikes Back: 8.8
The Return of the Jedi: 8.4
The Force Awakens: 8.5
Now the Force Awekens ranks almost the same as the classics but it will come down to 8.0 or something, when it's little older. There is Top 250 movies list in IMDb, I have seen over 90% of them and it's very rare I dislike some of them. From top, first one I disslike is Requiem for a Dream at rank 60 whit 8.4 rating, while I may not like it that much, I respect others who does. Not everyone likes Godfather either but in that case you really should keep your mouth shut.
If you think something is so "garbage" why does majority like it then? Misplaced your judgement may be, master the force and it will guide you

I do and I don't see the need to hide it. The originals are outdated in camera work and effects, and they have WAY less intrigue and political madness. In the prequels Jar Jar is annoying as hell, Annie is too much of a wuss sometimes and his voice acting is bland, but all the rest was pretty damn good. If you can't resonate with that then tag it personal preference and be done with it, I ain't trying to convince anyone here.

Phantom Menace is regarded as one of the worst films in the saga, with Jar Jar Binks in particular representing everything wrong with the prequel trilogy as a whole. Excessive amounts of CGI galore. Actors are wallpapers. Dialogue is horrendous, flat. There are hardly any redeeming qualities the film has.

The only good thing about episode VII is that they didn't bleep up the future episodes. They may still be good.

Agree whit Minion here. Phantom Menace is considered by far the most hated SW movie. Still when talking about SW whit people I know, many say they dislike Clone Wars the most.
VII was a "fun ride" and for me it respected the original trilogy. If you look pass the faults you see entertaining movie. When Phantom Menace came out, Jar Jar was too much for me to swallow, I suppose. Nothing was THAT irritating in VII.

T'was allright. very, VERY star wars in every definition of the word. FFS, it uses the same damn plot as the original! but one thing is certain, It's better than any of the rest.
Generally the same quality as the originals but with updated camera, effects and generally superior work naturally puts it above. still mediocre dialogue (still no really memorable, standout lines) though it is a step above the originals.
Some standout parts: Rey appears to have no connection to any other characters so far. that's good stuff unless it turns out she's, like, Luke's daughter or some snow which would be stupid.
That weird cutting is still a thing. AWESOME!
puppets look good mostly however sometimes it shows which can be a bit distracting (like the bird in the desert). CGI is a too obvious when it shows up as well.
Finn moving away from the First order was very well made and interesting.
Humor was kinda hit and miss: the banter felt kinda forced but Rey stepped it up a lot however. She was pretty fun for most of the movie. not to comedy levels but certainly enjoyable.
overall a good movie. Not sure I'd recommend it for Cinema. Wait for DVD or something: not enough spectacle to justify a theater viewing.
And OMG the feminism! I LOVE IT! Phasma (or whatever her name is) and that one stoorm trooper that just happens to have a female voice? AWESOME! This is exactly what we need.
I'm totally shipping Finn and Poe.
