In my opinion, now, when the UN voted for ceasefire, there is a time to stop hating Moscow. I know, it's unpopular, but hate breeds hate. And if the whole world continues to hate Russia it will go defending, and common people will think that they are victims of sanctions. I don't justify Russia's actions, maybe tomorrow it would be new Reich, but don't push a country to a wall. After all, a country isn't just its rulers.

During a briefing on Wednesday afternoon, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that the scheduled test launch of a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) had been postponed to show restraint.
"In an effort to demonstrate that we have no intention in engaging in any actions that can be misunderstood or misconstrued, the Secretary of Defense has directed that our Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile test launch scheduled for this week to be postponed.
"We did not take this decision lightly, but instead to demonstrate that we are a responsible nuclear power," Kirby said.

It's simply the truth.
Men have screwed up for THOUSANDS of years now.
Went to war, raped women, told them it would all be their fault.
Time's up.

Russia (as I've read) isn't afraid of Minutesmen, thinking they are just a pile of rust. I read an article where all Minutesmen were described as "incapable of performing a combat mission".

JollyJoker said: Why would we apply it to all Jewish artists?
Your logic is "it is okay" to harass and fire people from their jobs, wherever they are, based solely on their nationality and on what their former nation supposedly did and not on what they personally did.
Yet you suddenly have a brain stroke when I suggest your "guilty by origins and association" principles should be applied to all Jewish artists and personalities worldwide, given that Israel has been condemned by 45 times.
And of course, you will continue to fool around then pretend you don't get it. And we know why.

What I see is that you say that Israel = Jewish.
Discussion closed. Jewish isn't a nationality. And we are not talking about "their former nation" here, but their actual NATIONALITY.
Seriously? I think you haven't got the SLIGHTEST clue about what you think you are talking about.

War should stay off nationalities. We are all people. Just people. We want to see Moon, Mars, Venera, play games and have fun. But, there are people which don't share common ideals, they don't like games, they want to play games with real people. Turn back to our history. People had been always oppressed. Pharaohs, Inquisition came to my mind. A man cultivates an idea that it can be greater than others, and we call it "competition". But we don't really estimate what deviations this "competition" may give birth to. I think we will regret wholeeathedly when we will see an actual problems, but we are human, 100 years and we go to what where we are born from. And not, this is not what you are thinking of. We must unite. We confort ourselves that after us will be our sons and daughters with brighter future. And this is such a bullsnow. You can't predict the future of your child. People, people with power, know it, and they just play, thinking that they are mortal. But no, we are not mortal. Humanity will be immortal, but some people put sticks in the wheels by their religions and continuos wars.

The main problem the White House doesn't understand is that Russian people are not capitalists, even oligarchs. Well, they can't just leave their wellfare here, in Russia, as it evaluates much greater than they have foreign assets.

And remember Russia can always shrink to its previos state - the USSR. The West can't cope even with North Korea, now think about Russia in the mode of North Korea. They will do it, no doubt. They don't need money, as Washigton thinks, they need power.

Galaad said: It's been 30 years Putin shouts about not wanting NATO near his borders. That DOESN'T however justify attacking Ukraine.
Thing is, if Ukraine had been accepted into NATO some years ago Putin might not have attecked it.
Meanwhile evidence Russian forces are using banned weapons, are purposefully attacking civil infrastructure is piling up.
Cynically enough they don't even seem to care about civil casualties amongst the Russian-speaking Ukrainian community.
I hope more and more people in Russia take notice that Putin is a lunatic.

Stop derailing, there are tons of artists and authors having Israeli citizenship while being employed abroad, to name a few among most famous: Daniel Barenboim, Evgeny Kissin, Yefim Bronfman, Natalie Portmann, Gal Gadot.
Just think a second how the world would react if any of those celebrities was fired from all his/her engagements because Israel wrongdoings (remember, YOU brought here about UN condemning Russia, not me, YOU told is okay to fire people because of their nation wrongdoings, not me)
Hypocrite, that's the word.
How can we claim to defend the rights of entire nations, when we can't even respect the most elementary rights, which are the rights of an individual to be held responsible of his only own actions.

Where is "be a buddy" placed in misdemeanors and crimes range?
The invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces has ignited responses from arts and cultural institutions around the world, which are canceling performances by Russian artists, many of whom are supporters of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Cannes Film Festival, an invitation-only event that previews top-quality films from more than 80 countries, announced that no Russian delegations will be welcome this year, following the continued conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The festival is set to begin in May.
“Unless the war of assault ends in conditions that will satisfy the Ukrainian people, it has been decided that we will not welcome official Russian delegations nor accept the presence of anyone linked to the Russian government,” festival organizers said in a statement released Tuesday.
The festival may allow individual Russian filmmakers but has not stated whether their films will be permitted to compete.
The European Broadcasting Union, producers of Eurovision, declared that Russia will no longer be allowed to enter acts for the popular Eurovision Song Contest. The decision came after recent recommendations by the contest’s governing body, the Reference Group, which underscored the values of the broadcasting union.
Broadcasters from Iceland, Norway, Finland and the Netherlands had requested that Russia be barred from the contest.
Valery Gergiev, chief conductor of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and a Putin ally, was dismissed after refusing to condemn the Russian president’s actions in Ukraine.
The internationally renowned conductor has had many of his concerts canceled and has been dropped by his management company.
