Hi there Im Ashlar a lawful neutral monk who left his monastery after he has been compelled by his teachers to undergo some .... sexual practices. Since then, he is trying to improve his endurance and combat skills on his own, and wait for the time he would find a new group of adventurers where he could feel "at home".
He doesn't wear any type of armor nor weapon except for a short blade he uses as a knife. He usually fight only with his fists and feet...
His stats are
Strength 12
Dexterity 17
Constitution 10
Intelligence 8
Wisdom 18
Charisma 15
Im here because my friend Robinhood lets me know that his group of adventurers was on an errand and wouldn't dislike the help of one more adventurer.

When I arrived pursuing your group in the halfling community and passed by, I see a terrified Halfling running before a basilik , whiwh I didn't register as Very nice. So Iturn on my heel and look for a hide in one of these rocky tunnels.

You are one of the stone statues in the basilisk lair. (Where we are right now) Bjorn will turn you back to flesh you happen to have looked at the basilisk and u got petrified. K?
Bjorn:
"I thought I saw a monk among those stone statues..."
RedSoxFan:
"A monk?" *placing his hand on Bjorn's forehead*
Bjorn: *brushing his hand away*
"Yes...he looked...complete. It seems he must've got petrified by the basilisk."
Robinhood:
"A monk you say? OMG! Is it him? IT IS! IT MUST BE!!" *scurries to leave, only to be stopped at the door by the halfling owner*
Owner:
"Well, the way you say it, it must be your friend. And if he's petrified, you need to turn him. Here have this scroll, but remember us when you strike it rich!"
Robinhood:
"Thanks mate"
Bjorn:
"Let's Go! We will execute our plan immediately! Martigan! Grab the flour! AND THE BAIT"

Everyone gets in there places. You can hear the basilisk in the next room. Shadow_Elf hides in the shadows. Everyone is covered in flour. Mark trembles into the room. He screams bloody-murder while he sprints down the hall for his life. The basilisk walks over to the entrance. The basilisks hisses and turns around and goes back into the room.
RedSox: Hey! You need to lure the basilisk down here. He didn't even see you.
Mark: No I'm not going back.
Bjorn: You have to. You're the bait now go.
Mark goes back down and grabs a few rocks. He runs to the entrance and throws a rock at the basilisk. He basilisks hisses and grunts. It runs to the entrance, but Mark has already made his way down to where we are standing. He throws another rock at the basilisk. It hisses again. And chases the Mark running down the tunnel. The basilisk runs by us. Mark suddenly turns to stone. The basilisk stops and walks slowly back to its lair. RedSox sneezes. Fortunately the basilisk had already passed him. By the time the basilisk had swung around Redsox had already gone into his stone act again.
Shadow_Elf backstabbed the basilisk dealing 24 damage. As the the basilisk swung around to gaze at Shadow_Elf, RedSox made a call shot to the basilisks eye. Redsox made a direct hit temporarily blinding the basilisk. Mad hacks away at the monster. 6 damage taken. The thick scales take most of the blow. Bjorn attacks the basilisk dealing several more damage. The basilisk quickly turns to gaze at Mad. RedSox casts magic missle dealing the creature damage disrupting its concentration. Everyone makes a run for it. Athimus casts a fireball on the basilisk.
The cave fills with fire. Once the smoke clears, the party sees a motionless basilisk on the floor. RedSox walks up to the basilisk and kicks it. The basilisk wakes up and bites Redsox in the leg. He is poisoned. RedSox casts magic missle twice...

*BOOOOOOOOOOM! The sound of an unnatural explosion echoes through the cave. At the same time a tall skinny green guy comes flying down the corridor and lands against the wall close to Redsox.*
"Aiii! Tickety moo, I failed again! What you lying on the floor for hun? I wish you people would make less noise and stop smoking so much. It stinks and is dangerous because people may bump their heads or fall as they don't see a damn thing. Pah, I command you to stop that! Secondly you disturb me in my studying! Tickety moo, I could hear you coming for minutes and my house is two floors down. That's... Aaaaaaaaah, basilisk! Must run... awaaaaay!"
*The goblin rushes away back into the hole he came out of, the basilisk hesitates, not knowing who to follow.*

Mark throws a stone towards the basilisk. The creature grumbles and begins to run toward Mark. Mark heads for the right of the tunnels as he was told.
When the basilisk reaches the corner stops and looks at the side where Mark had fled. He waits a little before heading after Mark. The turns left and begins to run after his victim.
...
Do you people read the posts and follow the game? Or simply post without having a look at previous posts.
And I thought, battle were going to be simulated by the DM

OOC: I'm trying to re-join with a new character Madmartigan, and yes I have read the previous posts if that part was meant for me (but I guess it wasn't ). Things seem to be more in control and I think it's positive that the other players can criticize the DM (or others) when they go godmoding or powerplaying. You're right, some folks seem to have skipped your last post which is not very friendly of em. It was a good continuation of the plot though, possibly the joining of Ashlar made the DM change the course? I'm sure it wasn't on purpose.
New chara Nidhgrin:

Nidhgrin is a goblin alchemist in his late thirties, he has lived a life of solitude for the last 15 years. He wears a worn-out brown robe, a green pantaloon, bright red shoes and he carries a huge black belt and an enormous backpack. As primary weapon he uses a rusty rapier and he's rather skilled with the whip. He carries a bow and can aim with great accuracy but his shooting is very slow so he refers not to use it that much. His hair is wild, messy and pitchblack and his skin has a vale-olive green color. He's very tall (close to 2 meters) and rather skinny. He's skilled in making devices and potions but they tend to fail quite oftenly. His backpack is stuffed full with minerals and herbs and is very heavy. Because of the many brews and dangerous devices people usually prefer not to walk too close of him. He's a walking bomb. He's frightened rather quickly but very curious and comes up with creative solutions to new situations. He has a very big idea about himself, can't stand criticism and is very stubborn. He's very friendly though and is kind of a talker...

Long posts are allowed, but not many major actions in the same post please. It’s better for all of us to go step by step through the storyline, even in action scenes. We said the DM(s) control / agree / refuse the consequences of our important actions. As Madmartigan, I think we sould do the combat together with the help of Tuapui, even if it’s much longer. It was the wish of most of us.

Bjorn intends to attack, but then he hears a shivering scream. He sees something running towards him - a creature whom he knew to be Mad. Mad's face is red with anger. Bjorn can't understand what Mad is saying but he decides that he better not get on his way.

Basilisk turns his head towards the wounded mage. RedSox falls onto his knees, holding his wound he slowly lifts his head (reflectionally) to see what has bitten him (or bit? bad grammar bad ) At he last second he realizes what he is doing, he decides to turn his head away from the creature, from its petrifying looks. Right at that moment something hits him. He begins to fly in the air...

Mad attacks the basilisk, and hits the creature. But, hitting the creature is like hitting a huge rock. The basilisk does not seem to be affected by his attack.
Then the basilisk hits Mad with his tail throwing him away.
He stands up again, recovering from the attack of the basilisk's tail attack (tail attack??? LMAO) He sees the basilisk bite RedSox, while Shadow_Elf is continously stabbing the creature in the back, and Bjorn is preparing to attack the creature.
A burst of anger and fury covers his whole body. *This must not happen* (says to himself) he gives out a battle cry. Bjorn hears his scream and looks at him, and moves out of the way. He runs toward the mage (RedSox) who has fallen on his knees.
Mad raises the huge sword while running. He can feel the heat caused by the fireball cast by Athimus who is preparing for a new spell. He kicks RedSox away from the creature as soon as he reaches the creature. Then he swings his sword hardly aiming for the neck of the basilisk.
*SLAPORT* ()
(the head chopped)
Mad then falls onto the dead creature exhausted.
Athimus forces himself out of the concentration of the spell he was about to cast.
RedSox mutters: *Help me. That basterd has bitten me*
...

Redsox is nearly dead at this point. Bjorn rushes over to redsox and gives casts slow poison. The poison is neutralized, but not before redsox falls unconscious. Bjorn and the other party members think that he is dead.

I feel cheated. I typed one hell lot of stuff and I pressed something and everything got erased. I feel like killing myself. So I didn't and decided to pound myself till I could bring myself to type all over again
And Everything was so perfect. Now I am pissed and you all will have to read it in point form instead.
1.) Because of the variation of posts, I take them all into consideration and will have to combine all, for the better or worse. So I got bad news about a certain creature with no head and still kicking. We have an undead basilisk here, probrably produced by a vamp doing beastiality on a lesser creature. Hence our undead cretin.
2.) So we have a casualty in our hands, and the creature that caused it is vampiric. Here we have a special ability of vampiric stuff. LEVEL DRAIN. RedSox has been level drained and his levels can only be restored with a restoration spell, scroll, or a temple. His level is now reduced to 4, and Bjorn heals Redsox succesfully, restoring him to full health. *Cure Moderate Wounds*
3.) Shadow_Elf was the only person besides Mark to get stoned. (I rolled a dice) and Bjorn restores them both with his scrolls. Robinhood restores that statue in the corner known as Ashlar. Welcome to the party. You owe robinhood a girlfriend. That's how he came to know you. Don't argue. That'll be your Bio. I'm in a bad mood.
4.) You recieve experience. You are now stronger in your abilities, but do not gain any abilities. You also recieve the following list of items.
24000GP (the 30% taken by Mark, as part of the deal.)
Ring of Might (increses the strength of the wearer to 19)
Amulet of Metaspell Influence (Can cast Melf's Acid Arrows 3 times a day : AD&D rules supposed to be extra 2nd level spell but.. Whatever )
Mage Robe of the Good Archmagi (acts as chainmail; 5AC ,+5% magic resistance, and decreases casting time by 1)
Oh since were getting more and more Items I think Bjorn you should record down inventories and each of your characters remember what Bjorn gives you. Else It'll get messy later in the game.
EDIT: It is difficult to simulate the game if people insists to do it their way. Can I have your cooperation? If this does'nt work out we'll return to what we do before okay? Right now it'll be awhile till you meet the next non-negligable enemy. Just suggestions, no actual actions. If that happens the story can get really, really screwed. Like right now how long have we been underground? Hmmmmmmmmm.......

Okay dont worry the game will be great. I dont think it was too bad to make two ends for this very evil basilisk. after all its kicking was perhaps just some sort of reflex. And dont be so stresed. We ll do well...

I think what makes in problematic is when people not only say what their character tries to do and what happends, but when they make an entire scenario with what others do and so on.. I always try to only use mycharacter, and if there is time, wait for tupai to move the quest on.
Like if we meet a giant, I would post:
"Bjorn190: "Hi there big fellow, hows it going?"
While someone else might post
Person: "Hi there giant"
Giant: "I want to eat you"
Person: "Die foo!"
*person slashes giant, giant takes 6 damage*
*person 2 casts a fireball on the giant*
*giant screams and hits person 3 for 10 damage*
*person jumps and cuts giants artery, giant dies*
*in the giants bag we find a magical sword that does 10 damage per hit and makes 2 attacks per turn*
This causes problems:
1. What if the giant was friedly? (or had some other part to play)
2. Maybe the giant wasn´t meant to have the magical sword.
3. Taking over someone elses character can limit the roleplay atmosphere.
BUT
Sometimes there´s no time to wait, but if there *is* time, it might be worth it

~I think the mages should chose 1 each of the magical items, the ring should go either to a fighter, or to the new alchemist cause he has only 4 str, but maybe that str should be low for RPG issues. Then maybe we can buy some stuff at the halfling tavern~
And well, we kinda have an invertory in these posts right? We can make a sum up now and then. Im not sure what we have now, but kinda like this.
