Diablo 1 was bad---DIABLO II
I bought Diablo and played it and i could NOT stand the crappy RES and anything else really---------BUT DIABLO II Is soooooooooooooooooooo much better---probly one of the best games of its genre beside of course the awesome and lovable and oh so amazing Divine Divinity! DD promises everything Diablo II does but 10X better! GRAPHICS, STORY LINE, CHARACTER AVAILABILTY, EVERYTHING! BUY IT IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY!

D1 is from around 1996 or something. and D2 was delayed several times ( up to 1 year if im not mistaken )
So off course there is a difference. I for one still likes D1 and the storyline was kinda cool imho. But your right on the nail that D2 rocks....if your into a over hacked game and the hack'n slash thing ( net-wise )
You can invite my lvl 87 assasin over for tea some day if you like

Hi you are right Diablo II is realy very good game i play when it come into the market and the most i play it online(Battle Net) In bulgaria we have about 16 servers especialy for Diablo and some of this servers when you find hydra bow the prise for it is 800$ before some time afcorse there is a reward and for some other thigs but the price is diferent there much more low that is from me for Diablo II.
It is realy a good game.

...although my opinion differs from your own, have you ever thought that perhaps there's a reason why 2 comes after 1? Just a thought.
...though I can't imagine what could possibly be so angelic about what you could be entrusted to guard...

Listen, you may not like a game, but saying a game is bad just because of it's low res? I've divided the people who play games into groups. Gamers with a capital 'G' and gamers. There's a subgroup of Gamers I call classicists. The gamers also have a subgroup, which I call the Ghz kin.
Now, some definitions.
gamer - someone who just plays games and enjoys it
Gamer - someone who not only plays games, but knows a lot about their history et cetera.
Ghz child - someone who says a game is bad if it's older than a year, will work on on P 500 or less and doesn't have fancy graphics.
classicist - someone who generally prefers older games, doesn't avoid playing new ones though.
You dis Diablo because of the low resolution, right? That qualifies as Ghz child. And if my memory serves me well, Diablo 2 is 800x600 which isn't a high resolution. Why is it so good then?

I think i would have to qualify myself as a Gamer---(CAPITAL G)
Not to boast, but everytime a new game comes out, im there, i know everything and anything i need to know. I get every issue of PC (CAPITAL G) Gamer and read it cover to cover. I htink that under the circumstances, i need all i have and am a true GAME PRO. (Also recieved in shipment)Also, it isnt just the low res, its the game components. I feel that a game that doesnt run fast gets annoying, TRUE? WHOS WITH ME?!

Too bad Archie is on a HoMM break... Baphomet's downfall would be fun to watch  .
And about Diablo 1. Tell me what is so sucky in it, besides the low resolution. And no "its the game components" snow. And explain it to me, how was it possible for such a worthless crappy game was to be so darn successful?

Hehe, personally I thought it was a great game. Some time ago, I got bored with the games I was playing at the time and went back tp playing Diablo I and liked it even more than before. The graphics were fine by me, the gameplay was nice and there were tons of yucky ugly beasts for me to slaugher. What's so bad about that? :-p

I dont hate it. I just think that Diablo 2 was so much more better. I think Diablo 1 is a god game---but compared to divine divinity...IT SUCKS----thats my point, dont look past it

The first time I ever saw the name was inside the Invisible Maze on Might & Magic for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
If you plotted out the maze on graph paper as you travelled through it, it spelled out the message "Name is Sheltem"....or maybe it was just "Sheltem". Been a long, long time so I'm not sure which.
Is this what you were thinking of?
