I usually go for the minos because i dont think scorps do any serious dmg. IMO scorps are best upg. (manticores) because of their speciality and then they are not so number dependable.
Also there also seem to be alot of mino dwells compared to scorpy ones. And if no drag dwell just flag the mino one and you will have many minos soon enough (using summoner).

I posted a little earlier saying that I upgrade my Manticores to Scorpicores Day 8 or wk2 day 1 and go out hitting my caches and cons. I know minos can do some damage they do only 2 less base damage than scorps do at 12-20 damage but scorps do 14-20 and have better atk and def fly and have the paralyze bonus. And besides I'm still learning to use them effectively in battle without killing the poor lil moo men lol. Now when they are Kings I do fine but thats just my poor play I think hehe
Thnx for the input though keep the info flowing

You know that Doungeon is usually has tactical heroes.
Even 3 Minos or 2 Manticores can clear out some of your native area but very limited.
week 2 like i said before 9 Minos with tactics can take out ranged type creatures even if they guard pandoras.
I remember with AD tactics I had 9 Kings Monis & I took out a hoard of Marks men, lots almost a hoard of Arch Mages etc.
Depending on the amout of ranged creatures & the amount of Minos you got.
Like example with a haord of Grand you can actually beat them with 9 Kings without any losses.
Sometimes good to split them in 3 slots.
WHen it comes to creatures from lv 3 & up excluding Lizards.
Can be best to split them into 4 slots.
That 2-2-3-2.
That can easily block off all those grand & with at least ad, mayhaps even basic tactics but dont think so, you can easily demolish lv 1-3 creatures.
Lv 4 or mayhaps even 5, may be safe to move them into 3 slots.
Except ircs because of thier HP, mayhaps be safer to be in 3 slots 3-3-3.
6 manticores or better yet scorpicores are slightly better but can be expensive at that time.
Hope that helps.
Dont underestimate your Minos especially upgraded.
They can pack a wallop hehe.

I wouldn't start wif anything else than upgrading trogs or harps, but that can be a choice.
The problem is that dungeon is fairly week the 1st few days.
Unless u have Shak wif 100+ speed 7 trogs, u'll face the same problems as when ur playing castle.
So playing the field again is very important; see how much cash u can spend that u can earn back immediatly.
Like stated b4 by others, Dugeon is THE castle to go bankrupt.

IMO dungeon isnt a building town.
Its a "crashing" town, a town you use to crash banks early for creatures/resources.
Which is why it suits someone like archie so good who is like the "master of crashing" at this game.
I for one can never get a decent build with dung, i always manage to go bankrupt though

IMO, you donīt do it too well. Why wouldnīt you build townhall BEFORE marketplace and get 1000 extra gold? Or maybe you could build it even before Blacksmith to get 2000 extra money?

Well u usually try to make one level 4 or 5 dwling in weak one, of a good creature that in quintety leter would really help, vampires , and on the end of week 2 will have capitoal, and on week 3 all creatures, and on start of week 4 enough money to buy huge army with many many vampire lords , or another very helpfull creature in quantety, hmm maybe day 1 week 4 is 2 late, but not in extra large map, i think.
Edit: of course if i see that an enemy with many creatures is coming near my town, i buy the createres i can then, i mean this won't happen before the end of week 2 so by then i will have some gold from city hall, and i can buy big quantety, of the createre i maid sure i had, and the other creatures of course.

My building strategy totally depends on the map size and difficulty. But if we are not playing impossible (we play random, medium, hard usually) I go Fortress : Tazhar
Usually you have lizard dwelling built up. So I go looking for wood, if I find enough.
Day1: wyvern dwelling
also get a first aid tent
there you go, ready to rush anywhere you need

now here is my ultimate heroes town development strategy (r)
you should know that everything depends on difficulty, map and town so this is not a definitive list
day 1. creature dwelling - to get extra troops before i leave town special: upg. gremlins if tower; upg harpies if dungeon
day 2. town hall
this was the static building. from now on it is very different every time. sometimes i build dwellings and leave teh last day for citadel or the last two days for citadel and castle. in the last case i go for capitol with all its prerequisites. if the resource silo gives precious resource i build it early on if i can't find a mine. the treasury is not very important.

While taking cash over experience from chests plays out in nearly every scenario, building your town hall is clearly dependent on the map and difficulty level.
If money and resources are not a problem, then clearly one would need to have as many creature generators as possible. Building a town hall on day 1 means that your opponent will have either :
1) an extra generator
2) citadel/castle (choices here)
End result : more creatures available 2nd week
Meanwhile, you get an extra 500 gold per day, but it took you 2500 to get that, so your opponent has slightly less money, but more creatures, and those creatures can go hit the map for more money (from stores, banks, guarded chests, etc.).
Now, if you play an impossible, any-sized, random map, and you are limited to maybe only an ore mine at the beginning, then you need to decide on purchasing an extra hero (for troops to go to battle) or town hall for your first purchase, if nothing else is available.
