Nice flamingo, thanks. The only small thing I could complain is that it looks flattered when turning and die (death needs one more frame also), he did not eat for weeks? Can we have the portraits too, so can play with?

creeper family - grapplers and gobblers.
hard coded creatures. got spell-effect-attack like a liches. you had do code their attack the same way to be able creepers to attack their targets with tentacles from the undergroung.

they are insectoids.
remember MM9 and strange hanging things in sewers or yanmir's ford. imposible to create celling creature in heroes - so we got floor version.
or they can be something similar to alien life form from "alien"
or something similar to creeped "zerg sunken colony"
or nightmarish creacure from dreams

I don't understand, what is to be done with tentacle.def? It belongs to the grappler but needs additional code for in-battle? Spell animation?

i cannot describe it.
first - you should add "tentacle" as a def file
second - use "tentacle" as a post-attack effect.
for example lich:
it shots and after it shot poison cloud appear on the target.
---
so here is something similar but this creature do not have projectile and tentacle appear while it attacks.
so you just need to delete missle of it and add post attack effect - but i do not know how to do it.

Well... My creatures from this site are poorly made and not worth downloading. And fortunately I've lost somewhere their *.def files.
