Yes Israel have nukes, and yes they have been prepared to make use of them, specifically during the 1973 war against Syria when Syria almost overan the Golan heights and crashed through into Israel proper. A request was made to release their use in the event of the front collapsing, it was given. Fortunately, at the last minue, a cobbled together formation delayed the Syrians long enough for the reserves to arrive and stabalise the situation.
What they had then might be more akin to a tactical nuke, ie limited range, dropped from a plane, probably limited effect (as compared to the ICBM's the US and Russia deploy). Still a nuclear weapon though, and they have (it's alleged) more than 1.

As for Moore, I equate his works with the same level of belief as a guy called Daniken who claimed that the Gods of our world were in reality Aliens who visited earth. Whilst both Moore and Daniken lack the right conclusions IMO, they also both ask some very pertinent questions. As far as I can see, Moore's conclusions are no more or less valid than those that tried to oppose him in the aftermath of bowling for columbine.
Moore is though a person who will publicise his work, and therefore, like anyone in his line he will change things and twist situations to his benefit. Some of what he did for BFC was wrong, that is all I have seen or read of his work at this moment. I do think that if what is said about his subsequent works are true that he has unwisely gone more for sensationalism than what he should go for though. However, all the criticism of some of his works cannot refute that some of the questions in BFC (as an example) are entirely valid. Just like Bush and co using faulty evidence in front of the UN does not invalidate the humanitarian cause of invading Iraq, nor does quibbling about the statistics in BFC invalidate the basic questions he raises.

Critics of michael moore always fail to address 2 issues. First is what he says true or not true. And second if its not true, why dont those damaged by his remarks simply sue him and put him out of business. Surely a man as powerful and vindictive as president bush could do this with no trouble at all.

By the way from what i know Israel got more than 50 nukes at its dissposal but will never use it unless for self deffence only. Now this new threat from Iran openned many issues for discussion and the nuke question may come up shortly...

Pointless Debate
The argument is meaningless. It will not cease, ever. All I know is that Israel cannot defend itself against Egypt, Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. There are probably more countries who hate Israel but the 4 I mentioned are more than enough. I don't think they would do anything about it, but Turkey also does not like Israel.
What are we Americans to do? Do we defend them to the last? I say no. I say that I don't want my son dying to save Israel.

We'll since your tax payer money allready goes to fuel the Israeli army, instead of helping and feeding the poor, instead of helping the victims of plagues and earthquakes, instead of helping to fight disease and poverty in Africa it goes to fuel one of the top 5 most modern armies in the world. They don't need american soldiers, all they need is american money.
All Israel does is fight fire with fire if things continue this way there will be no end.
I'm personaly not against the state of Israel but I'm against the way it was formed and against the way it treats the Palestinians.
I understand their situation because my country was treated the same way in the past. Decicions about us, but without us...but thats another story.
Yes what the palestinian terrorist organizations are doing is wrong and cowardly, but it's their form of resistance. A wrong and bad one.
But then again the Israeli soldiers, tanks missels are doing the same thing only with an official backing of the goverment and army...

I think we can add Jordan and Syria to that list since the former has fought Israel twice and the latter 3 times, 4 if you include Lebanon.

I vote for palestinian and israeli peace. Why is it so important who lives were anyway? Most civilized countries accept immigrants. Palestinians and Israelis should come together and celebrate christmas together.

Methinks it would likely take nothing short of a miracle to create a relatively peaceful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians.
However, let's assume for a moment that it's possible, let's pretend these two peoples could forgive their pasts. Whomever should truly unite these peoples would forever be remembered in history as someone above even the great mythical legend of King Arthur. This would be a person who would be remembered for his/her ability to unite the historic factions and bring peace.

The jews have setteled in barbarian lands, that was a foolish misstake. They did it for their religon. (I cant understand how such a idiotic things like religion still exist in this world) If I where them, Ishoold choose another place to settle wo dont is in barbarian lands, because the barbarians (also called arabs) screms: ALLAH! IMAMEN! ÜTMAN! BURKA! and starts a jiihad.
So the idéa was dumb in the first time! But I personaly don't like barbarians they come to Sweden and lye about that they childeren is apatic! We have soon one milion barbarians here, so they must have mutch apatical childeren!
And as always that is the feminists fault!
