No, it's not. It's been ignored for far too long. This has been going on for a few years now and it's not getting any better. There has been probably been a hundred pages of discussion about this stuff. It's talk talk talk and nothing changes.

Technically borderline Jolly, but not quite in the insult realm. Oh and although he will probably reply here soon..he asked for and got a silence. Just 12 hr one, to prove a point on exactly how good silences are.

You also have proven my point. Exactly how effective silencing is. Yes, if they create a second account, each one cost them a permanent non-reverseable penalty..but as you just proved, there are ways around silencing.

The will of the people seems to be a completely unmoderated OSM. Why not let them have it while keeping mod action in the other forum sections?

Binabik silenced for saying his opinion? Just should have gave him penalties or something. A silence? Mytical, you said you're done talking and your actions speak for themselves but you haven't exactly done much talking, more penalising and silencing.
I can understand Binabiks point of view as it must be frustrating for him as he's been a member of this board for so long and discusses in the OSM the most out of any place so to see it turned into what it has is disappointing.
This place is slowly becoming a joke with the wrong people getting punished. Not that I think JJ or Elodin should be punished but out of all people, Binabik shouldn't have been. Way to overreact, Mytical.

No, I am not in denial. Read the Tea Party thread from page 1 post 1 and you see all sorts of negative things said about conservativism, American, Christianity, and capitalism without me having said one negative thing at all.
That was after the "no negative comments" rule. I asked a question about why it was not being enforced exactly one week after the declaration. I waited at least a week after my question before I started also making negative comments. And I never made personal insults though a number of insults were thrown my way.
If it is allowed to use "strong language" directed at Christianity, conservativism, America, and capitalism, "strong language" should be allowed to be directed at atheism, liberalism, other natinos, and socialism. No side in a discussion should be gimped.

I think Doomforge made a good post the previous page (I believe) in where he said if others do it, then why do you need to? It really is kindergarten behaviour. Why couldn't you just rise above it and HCM a mod and let them know? ANY moderator would have been fine. Just because others say negative comments doesn't mean you should. Not really mature behaviour and it shows....looks what happened.
