to my regret i think that both our tourneys will be postponed until Cristmas.I was on the zone all afternoon yesterday, but i haven't seen a familiar name to play with.I only recognizeg rock bull and big saint_bg's name.Conan please make contact to all the players so we can settle a date to get things rolling seriously.I've spoken with moraptembul(he's from Romania also) and i even played a few games with him, but we agreed theese won't count for the tourney.Hope i'll hear from you soon!

Some questions and suggestions
Can I chose templates for my games myself or someone will post one template for this tourney?
Can I play more than one game per two weeks( if 2 weeks is time limit for one game) or I need to whait till all players played 1 game?
Suggestions:
1) For learning purposes I think it is better to have one template in this tournament( We can make onother tourney with onother template later);
2) It would be easier to find opponent if I knew his time zone(it could be placed near player's nickname in division table, btw my zone is +2GMT);
3) Although this tourney was planned as 'No Rules', I think it should have these: no cartographer and no hillfort ( if we agreed to play in random maps), because original Heroes of Might and Magic3 version (RoE) didn't have random maps. I hate when someone(me or my opponent) gets carto or hillfort
near his home castle in L or XL maps. Main purpose is to learn but not to count on luck.

you can choose one your partner and yourself will agree.

For the round robin, you can play all your games and they don't have to be in order. ie the numbers round 1, 2 and 3 don't matter.

After we do the round robin and all players are ranked, one template will be chosen by vote. Only at that time will we only play one template. I suggest you play multiple templates during the round robin to get familiar with some of them.

Good suggestion. Mine is the same as New York. I live in Ottawa, Canada. If every1 could post their timezone I'll put them in the table like you said.

True, but then most ToH rules are put in place to negate the luck factor, like fly or DD. Usually, on a random generator, both parties will have a cartographer if there is to be one. You can also agree with your partner before a game to some rules if you like. We'll see how the round robin goes and then will sum it up by asking all players to give their input before the elimination rounds leading to the cup the king of noobs.
Remember, you can only play your first three games and accumulate points (max of 6). After, we have to wait until everyone plays to go for the elimination rounds.

Round 1 Results...DRAW!
Conan & I went to play against each other tonight, but instead of engaging in "glorious battle" we got stuck in "infuriating Network skirmishes"! The same thing happened when I tried to practice with Dark_YOuth for the Mighty Alliance tourney. 
I am not getting much help from the Tech Gods...curses! 
Maybe I will fare better during the actual matches...I hope so, anyways!
EDIT: Here is the solution to my Tech Problems!

a first win!
Ok, after our episode the other night, me and Léo went at it again.
I won in week 3 on a random Large map.
I will update the points in January as I don't have access to the pics on this computer.

Although he did have help in the form of a random map that put us side by side, seperated by water & mountains, but with a "Lookout" right beside his town. So he saw my town right away (I did not have a lookout ) and took a boat from the port right near the water connecting our areas and sailed on over into my town by the end of week 1.
I'm not complaining, of course, because I was so nOObish that I didn't even see him coming. Well, that is the way things happen when you play "True Random". I love it!!!
I must avenge my loss, who's next?!

Everything Léo said is true.
It was not a fair game but he played honorably by the rules, a true example of Honor.
As a warning for other players, it would be better to play random templates if you do random. this kind of misshaps should not happen.
On my defense, I had fortress, my favourite town with hero who has specialty Lizard men. I had Hydras day 4 and Wyverns day 1.
In any case, Leo played very well considering the odds.

At first, I am glad that this tournament has System suggested by Leo_Lion, so we have still some chances after first defeat. Btw Angelito, Dark_Youth and I discussed about this system just few hours before Leo_Lion posted it.
In my previuos post, I forgot to add suggestion about reporting.
4) Report win/loss to some E-mail address. Conan could post updates.
In every division will be 6 fights, so 12 games, or 24 reports. And this is without play off games. I don't think we need convert this thread to 'Statistic pages' by reporting all games right here.
About my game with Ruho. We played on Balance template, both with Necro towns. I got my wood mine in second week only, because passage to that area was guarded by horde of zombies(I think highest HP among level 2), and I even was not shure that mine was behind them. Maybe with Rampart it was not big problem, but I didn't knew how to fight those guards with hitters only in first week(without any shooters, coz wood was already spent) . So, because of lack of wood I didn't build anything 2 days in first week, and 3 days in second week. But Ruho played realy well and he deserves his first victory.
