we'd be more than happy to have you (if you're a noob or course... but some of our members are sefl proclaimed noobs so there shouldn't be a problem!  )
The admin for this tourney is Conan and he may be more absent (since it's summer) so check out the player board and then get on the zone .... right now it's slower since many are away on vacation or just not as active during the summer.

Well folks there comes a time when a man's got to do what a man's got to do.
There is almost one year since the ideea of this tourney began to come into shape, over 9 months since this thread was started.In these 9 months the membership of this tourney,changed several times, people came and left.But no one was interested to play on a regular basis except Lee and myself.
The ideea of this tourney was to bring some interested people into online games.But someone who plays 1 game each 2 months can't be called interested.
I'm not pointing the finger towards anyone here, nor am i blaming anyone for this state of facts.RL comes first and we all have some priorities with our time.
Exactly for this reason i decided to drop out of this tourney, cos i felt i had and extra responsability and to be honest this isn't motivating me any more.
I'll gladly play with any of you guys in a fun game or even for TOH&WW, but not in this tourney anymore.
This tourney and the promisses i made to you guys who were in it from the beggining(Conan,Leo and Jebus) made me go into online gaming and i want to thank you for this opportunity.I hope we can meet soon enough on the zone for a friendly game(especially Jebus with whom i didn't had the honor to play yet  ).Have fun guys !!!

Lucian, you couldn't have said this any better. The idea of this tourny was great... but just too many people not really interested. I am also dropping from this tourny and will be happy to play anyone, anytime, for a fun game.
Conan, please remove me from the tourny as well.

No Jebus, this would surely mean the death of it.As you see, new guys interested to play appear everyday.It will be a pitty not to give them the same chance we had.
There is no point in taking a break or canceling that only cos 2 guys left.You see 2 more appeared to take the empty seats already.Give them a chance aswell !!

No Jebus, a chance to be introduced to online games.Form that point on i consider it's everybody's choice how to evolve.Should they join ToH or WW, shoud they get recognition on the zone it's all their choice,but this tourney has to be a starting point for each and every one of them.To me it was, and i consider that others deserve this chance.If you guys consider this should be put to a hold so be it.I'm feeling bad for quitting this.It has been a good oportunity for me even though i had enough to suffer for it with me carrying my Harddrive all weekends with a bag to a i net caffe to be able to play,with me getting my H3 cd confiscated and getting wrestled by bodyguards,with azure not allowing me to play in the rookie WW tourney cos i played in this tourney.
I feel everyone who is dedicated to this game should get this opportunity.

well that's BS!!
anyways maybe you could start a nooby intro to online gamming welcoming group....
I guess my point was simply that we're not playing anyways...
We should just change it to a noobie group where they can come chat about what it is to be new and learn the "ropes"!
It would actually diminish the constant "noob" threads poping up all the time!

Azure told me in march that for the fact that i registered in this tourney and i have playing games here from november last year i cannot play in the rookie tournament as there is an explicit 3 months online experience in online gaming.I have played exactly 3 games online from november to march but she still wouldn't let me participate.As a side note i'd like to say that the 3 place in this tourney was ocupied by a romanian guy whom i personally made a copy after my cd's with heroes complete,send him the cd's,thus allowing him to play and with whom i played and advised.So i have some regrets cos i think i could have done well there.This refusal is understandable cos she has this policy and she wants to stay true to it.This isn't the basic point here.
Your ideea about forming a n00n helping group is indead good and if such a thing is acomplished i would gladly volonteer to help and coordinate such a thing.

that's crappy of Az.
I don't think this tourney should have counted for much in the "online gamming" world.
The thread would be a good idea.... it would be a great way to welcome new members instead of waiting until they post, piss someone off, then get told how to do it!
our present system is a little halfass backwards (can I say ass?) to me.
Angelito already helps out noobs quite a bit but this would be a more structured way of directing noobs to how to benefit from HC.

Well i guess we should wait for Conan to return as he is in charge of this.Depending on his decision we will see what's best to do to help newcommers get rid of online problems and getting them started.

I think that you guys have a point, I spoke to Lee a bit about this too. I think this particular thread is done; but could possibly be restarted with a bit more structure
It would likely be best to have it run through the Library - and perhaps even with another webpage dedicated to the tourney. If done this way, it coul dbe possible to host savegames, with some detailed analysis as to what was done, or what should have been done, which would make the tourney 'enlightening' for those playing, as well as those who aren't playing, but just want to learn.

I will ask AM if she would consider adding this style of tourny into her WW subtournies next season. If she agrees to it, we can hold discussion on the tourny, results, etc... in the WW Tourny thread. Just a thought.
Edit** I think this is 1 of the only ways to make this tourny a success. There will be an announcement for the sign up date, people will sign up for the tourny, then there will be a deadline for each round to be played. This will keep people from signing up, then not showing up to play for 6 months.

Good idea Lkru Talk to AM about hosting it. That would probly be the most successful way of managing this. Not to mention a lot more people are probly exposed to and participate in WW events than ever discover this thread
