Yeah, when I looked in my artifacts merchant and saw that pendant of Total Recall, I felt it would be worth the 10 sulfur to ensure that my troops would not fall victim to that dreaded forgetfullness spell It would be a shame to have so many shooters and not be able to use them.
Edit: On the plus side... at least I didn't have the red orb this time I do recall you using that chain lightning spell on me more than once... and with 400+ mana points

I couldn't believe the horrible spells I had....
you had meteor shower and resurect that did alot of damage!! (whoever said magic don't matter!!)

I never said Magic spells don't matter... I just said Magic heroes don't... at least not to me Did you notice how much of a beating my Naga Queens were able to take with Mephala ? The Resurrect spell is always nice to have....especially with Expert Earth. Meteor Shower wouldn't rank as one of my favorites... at least not any higher than your Chain Lightning. Implosion on the other hand...

Hi all!
The last few days I am exploring libraries other than that of Enlightenment and I came up to this thread. I 've not finished reading this thread, but I would like to join both tourneys if that's possible. But I need some more questions answered:
1) Does the rule for 1 game per two weeks still hold?
I am asking you that because this is an examination period and I don't know if I 'll be available to play many games online till mid-June.
2) What template are you using for your maps?
3) What rules do you enforce for game-playing?
4) What other rules are employed?

P.S.: I tried sometimes in the past to play online games but I was dissapointed for various reasons which had also led me to start this thread and eventually made me feel that it was pointless trying to play online games with people I don't know. Nevertheless I do respect most people in HC (if not all ) and as a result I want to join the tourney and learn more about my currently beloved game.
P.S.2: Tigris why didn't you suggest me at that time the existence of this thread? After all you were the one who started it, right? Please don't be so humble!

Hi Dimis, always happy to have a new member aboard! Glad you took the time to ask some questions as it might help some of the members that are hanging around but not sure.
1) the 2 week period no longer applies. We all play our games and when we decide to give a date for the finals then those who did not play many games will be erased before the finals start. But fear not, we will all have enough time and this is a democracy.
2) Templates are decided between each player. You must agree before you play.
3) the rules are not stated. Basically, there should be none, as is what most of us noobs want, but you can agree on some with your partner.
4) Other rules? None. We inforce a no rule type of competition. Basically, we play the game the way it was supposed to be played - no interference and no made up rules. You might be unlucky this time, but lucky the next

Respect here is a must and you can report right here if someone cheated. We all have a reputation on HC so we have something to loose by cheating. I know most of the players in the Noob Tourney and trust me, we've never had an issue. We are here to have fun and it's a small tourney so it is very personable.

Does the Mighty Alliance still hold? Because I wouldn't like to view myself constantly being harshed up by all you ... so-called n00bs! I 've played 6-7 online games so far and I bet you are better than me. I know that people must learn from their mistakes, but viewing a vet (learning by example) would be much faster for me to catch up all of you. Anyway, when can I play?

Dimis, you should Post your country and timezone, so that people know when & where to find you. Also, most of us go to the ZONE and look for each other, when we have time to play. So, Post your ZONE nickname or ToH/WW handles too.
Conan, do you think that there would be a way of putting together a list of the players' timezones, ZONE nicknames, and ToH/WW handles? I don't even know if it is necessary, but the thought just came to mind as I was replying to Dimis.

I am from Athens, Greece and timezone at that minor country is: GMT +02:00 (same as Instabul, Beirut, Minsk ...) meaning that approximately now time is .... 12 minutes past midnight (Friday is coming!). By the way, my ICQ number is: 1628127.

No, your fine. I've only played about 6 online games myself and I dont think most of the other players in this tourney have played all that many either. U will fit right in. Just come to the zone and prepare for fun!

Honestly Dimis it just didn't crossed my mind at the time.Anyways nice to see you joining it.

Man, its gonna be hard scheduling a game with u Dimis. My day time hours are your nightime hours (its 10 hours later there than here). However, on one of these weekends it would be possible if one of us was willing to get up real early and the other willing to stay up real late.

Plexus: I think it is easier for us to play if I stay up all night. I don't really mind, since I usually am not that morning person. I can't say with certainty if I can play today / tomorrow since I had arranged some things and I don't know by what time I will have finished. If it makes you feel better, I've only played a few online games with a total of 2-3 different opponents..
the only one you have to watch for is that VET in disguise LKRU!!!
