Rules:
1.) Alright to start things off everyone claim 2 threads. And put two FPs (Forum Points) into the forums of their choice. This is before the start of Round 1. This is a first come first serve basis. So once it's claimed, you can't get it. You'll have to challenge in the later rounds.
2.) One challenge or claim per round. Claiming and challenging will have a deadline. All claims or challenges after the deadline will not count. Once a challenge or claim has been made it cannot be changed once another person has made a claim or challenge.
3.) If two people claim the same thread in a round, it goes to the possession of whomever claimed it first. Any people making a claim after that will instead be challenging that person for the thread.
4.) All challenges will have a deadline for submission. Then a poll will be created. Whoever gets the most votes for their submission will the challenge. The winner will either gain or keep possession of the thread. If a challenge results in a tie, the defender retains possession of the thread.
4a.) If all players involved in a single non-tournament challenge wish to receive a new challenge from a specified or non-specified member they can do so once without cost of FPs.
5.) Every 5 rounds there will be Forum Tournaments. Any player may apply to any number of Forum Tournaments they wish. The entry fee is one thread from the forum in respect to the tournament in which one is applying. First Place Prize is 3 FPs (Forum Points). Second Place is 1 FP.
5a.) If less then 4 people apply to a forum tournament no second prize will be given and First Place Prize will be reduced; 3 competitors - 2 FPs; 2 Competitors - 1 FP. If only 1 person applies no First Place prize will be given.
6.) Every 10 rounds there will be an Grand Slam Tournament. The entry fee will be 1 FP from any forum.
First Place - 5 FPs; Second Place - 3 FPs; Third Place 1 FP; This tournament will only be held if there are 6 or more competitors.
7.) Forum Points must be used in the forum for which they are given. For example, you cannot use Glade forum points in Other Side or Tavern.
7a.) Forum Points can be spent in several ways.
10 FPs - Lock possession of a thread you have owned.
5 FPs - Steal a thread without having to challenge that person.
3 FPs - Challenge for a thread that has been locked. If the thread is won, the thread will become unlocked.
2 FPs - Get an FP in the forum of your choice.
1 FPs - Claim an extra thread in a round.
1 FP - Make an extra challenge in a round.
1 FP - Apply to the Grand Slam Tournament.
1 FP - Request a different challenge against the wishes of your opponents.

One thing about the rules; it should take more FP's to unlock a thread since locking one takes 10 FP's ... just seems like this is a bit unbalanced. Just my 2 cents.

I think you are misunderstanding the thing about unlocking a thread. You don't unlock the thread unless you win the challenge. And in order to rack up 10 FPs, that person will be a very tough opponent. The thread remains locked, however the price of 3 FPs gives you a back stage pass for that particular round.
If you win the challenge you gain possession of the thread and it becomes unlocked.

Round 1 begins! Claims and Challenges will be open for 72 hours.
Any newcomers to this game should make sure that they choose two unclaimed threads and choose which forums they want their two FPs to go in.
Royal Rumble Tournament:
Entry Fee - Free
Challenge - Pretend you are a stand-up comedian. Create a short bit where the topic is related to HC, Homm, or ToH.
Deadline - Friday Night 11:59 PM Board Time.

First Place - 1 Tavern FP
There will be weekly tournaments that will take place separate from the regular scheduled Rounds and Tournaments. Each of these tournaments will be different. Some of them will require there to be multiple contestants working on one entry. So look for the tournament to be completely different every week.

I'm starting up something which I call Weekly Tournaments. They are completely separate from the regular schedule of MYT. And will happen simultaneously with the scheduled Rounds and Tournaments.
I challenge 2Xtreme for LHW.

If anyone had sent me a submission for this weeks Tourny, could you please send me it again. I forgot my old email address blocks everything that is sent to me using HC email and right now I have over 1000 emails in my junk mailbox.
I'm going to close the Claims and Challenge phase for Round 1. Contests will be posted soon along with a brand new thread for Season 2.
