In true TUM fashion, describe to us (in 1 - 2 paragraphs) the way that you would win over the girl in the above picture.
- Terje vs Woock for "The Axis":
Think of a way to implement teams in the "Mark Your Territory GAME". Give a main idea, then follow it up with an Implementation Plan. This should describe how your main idea will be put to use and what sort of impact in will have on the GAME.
(This only needs to be 1 - 2 paragraphs long.)

I guess I don't understand why there needs to be any spectacular purpose to this thread. The purpose is to have fun. That's it. People are possessive of their threads and don't want other people to have em. It's a game.
We are talking about the difference between playing Monopoly for fun and putting 10 dollars of real money into the game where the winner gets all the money. I think this would definitely make a monopoly game far less fun. People would get too intense and it would be taken far too seriously.
The whole reason I made this thread was so that people could just play some silly game and it would be fun. This thread lives off of its ridiculousness and I still feel the best contests we've had are the ones that aren't taken seriously. I thought the Chicken Scratch Contest was a riot. But the contests as of late haven't been anywhere near as funny. I think the best thing for this thread is something that will work for every tavern thread and that is humor.
Granted this is the formula that I thought would work best. If people think this thread is funny, people will want to join. Humor is something that relates to everyone. Basically the way I see it, this thread might be successful if it's taken seriously with all sorts of purposes and everything, but it will be targeting a smaller group of people.
Now of course I am open-minded to there being some added bonus to owning threads, if it is good enough. It won't be worth it if it just makes the game more serious.
But like I said earlier, the purpose of this game is to have fun. That's it in my opinion. It's like poker. Poker is a long term kinda thing. The game never really ends. You have times when you win, you have times when you lose. And once in a while there are some big tournaments.

well that's cool RSF, I can understand where you are coming from. It's true what you say about humor relating to everyone.
But I don't think everyone shares the way you see this thread. Others (me) seem to take it more seriously. It's just a personnality trait. I play to win. It's not always a good thing, but it makes it fun for me!  (I'm just beeing honest.) At least now I know how others feel about it and I better understand why you created this game.

I play to win too, it's just that I don't like it when things get really serious. I like it when the contests are ridiculous and absurd, then it's fun to get all serious, cause it's over something ridiculous. I guess that's just my take on it.

Okay many of you are probably wondering why my entry didn't remotely resemble the contest description.
Well the reason is that I was considering an idea and needed to experiment with it.
I was thinking that we could have the challenge that I like to call The Challenge of Random Proportions.
The idea is that you get no prompt for your submission.
The contest description is this.
Enter anything you want. Coolest/Funniest wins.
So basically if you want to write a really good poem, then go for it.
If you want to give a lecture on how to skin a potato step by step, then go for it.
If you want to do an impression of Aculias, then mayhaps yuo should go for it1
