Reb Forr was working out with some weights. he told his instructor to put a 15kg wieght on each end of the bar, 6 kg weigt on each end and 4 2kg weights on each end. Reb then lifted the bar over his head. how much did Forr lift?

if you put the weights on the end..then they will fall off. Meaning you lift JUST the bar, however much that may weigh.

He was told by the instructor to put the mentioned weights on, but it doesnīt say he HAS done it already when he lifts the bar. So he only lifts the weight of the bar...nothing else.

Well, since the weights stay on the bar, they must have been put on... so it would be the 58 kg worth of weights plus the weight of the bar... plus any weight that he may have had on the bar prior to the instuctor adding 58 kg to it.

Riddle Master 2: The New Master
i am the riddle master and this is a riddle game of challenging riddles
Thx to Firespirit we have a riddle master poster. IMO it looks great. well done firespirit
the previous Riddle Master is over. Titanuim alloy won after 3 sudden death rounds with angelito runner up.
the rules are a little different this time. the rules are:
1) if u attemp to answer a riddle u are put on the list of players. rememberits never too late to sign up. in RM1 TRD started late and made it to the finals
2) if you solve the riddle u will be given some points depending on how hard i judge the riddle to be
3) when a riddle has been solved i will post the winner and give another riddle at the same time
4) when i post a new riddle i will post how many times u have to guess the answer so use them wisely
5) always explain your answer for if u dont u will not be given the point even if its right(unless riddle is pretty self explanitory)
the winner: i will at some time come and announce that in 4 weeks the tournament will end. when the 4 weeks have passed the top 4 players will each recieve 3 hard riddles. they will be the same for each player. each player will email me their answer and depending on the results, the new riddle master will be crowned.

in ancient times i recall one such event where a Greek king was cornered by Romans. since he didnt want to be humiliated by capture the king decided to commit suicide by swallowing poison. the dose the king ingested was potent enought to kill a man instantly, yet it had no effect on the king.
answer:For the matter of fact, ancient Kings have always been afraid of getting poisened (Most of them had a slave who had to test the meal before they start eating...), i guess the King tried to avoid that by swallowing small amounts of poison every now and then over a long time...raise the dose...so the body gets used to it and he gets totally immum against poison.
And at the time, when he needed the poison, it had no effect anymore....

a man was found assassinatied on th 51st floor of a hotel room which had been locked within by te dead bolt. he was slouched in a chair infront of one of the windows in the room. the only sound in the room was the air conditioner which was positioned over the window and the damp floor. the man was killed by a bullet to the head. he was shot from exactly where he sat and that the bullet had been fired from over 30 metres away. the man had been dead for several hours. since the window had been locked from within the room and the glass was unbroken, how was the assassination carried out?
answer:He was shot in the head...in the position he had right now...from about 30 metres away. I guess it is a normal room with walls on every side and a roof. So it looks like he has to be shot through the window. The door was locked from inside, so nobody could get out AFTER the man was shot. The window had to be open while he was shot, coz no broken glass was found. After the shot, it was closed, but difficult to do from outside coz of the 51th floor. How can u close a window from more than 30 meters away? Not quite possible i guess. So perhaps the window closed itself alone.....how? If u block it, the block would be still there and then it would be obvious....So the block had to disappear also...i was thinking about stuff like "burning candle and a toe"...or "a sandwatch", but all these things would have been found later. Then i realized your "air-conditioner" above the window, which means, the building was in a hot region. I donīt know what kind of window that was, but perhaps it was possible to block it with some icecubes, stapled over each other. The deadly shot came while the window was open (perhaps from another building which also had that many floors), later, coz of the heat, the ice melted and there was a small pit of water, which also evapurated coz of the heat. So no evidence left....

i live in a little house which is on a well treed piece of land. i keep my lot clean and in good condition by fertilizing, pruning and removing deadwod and any broken braches i happen to come across. however every once in a while i cut down a perfectly healthy tree and place it in a large pot. i water the tree and fertilize it ect. and after a short time i get tired of the tree so i burn it. is there any explanation for my behaviour?
answer:The tree you cu t down is later used as a Christmas tree and therefore after a while when you get bored of it, after the holidays, you burn it... and the large pot you put it in is used to water it...

If someone didn't drink water for three days and was exposed to the hot sun, they would not be able to sweat anymore. there was a contest were there was a glass box in a room with 500,000 one dollar note inside. for a fee of $5 a person could guess how many was inside the box. in the end a short, stocky bald man named George won. the seal was broken and it was discovered that there were only $460,000 inside. Jerry was responsible for eclosing the money and was questioned by Detective Reb Forr. Jerry gave the following recount "3 days before the competition i went and got the money from CommunityBank out of my account. i then despoited the money at my house and went out. 2 days before the competition i personally counted each bill by hand, twice. it is possible that i was wrong by maybe 100 or 200 but not 40,000. i have been out of town the last few weeks so maybe sometime then money was stolen."

answer:It would be impossible to count each bill by hand, twice. At the fastest I'd say you can count between 2 and 3 bills a second, so it would take around 200,000 seconds to count all 500,000. But to do it twice it would take 400,000 seconds.

6666.6666667 minutes * (1 hour / 60 minutes) = 111.111111 hours

there are 7 coins which look identical, but one coin wieghs slightly less than the others. if i were to give u a balacne scale, how would u be able to find the lightest con with only 2 weighings?

u forgot to give the points for the current riddle.
well anyway first u take 6 of the 7 coins and u weigh them with 3 on each side. if they are equal then the coin u didnt use is the lightest.
if they are not even then:
you take the 3 coins that are on the risen end of the scale(as one of them will be the lightest one)
then you weigh 2 of the 3 coins u have taken, and if they are equal the one u didnt use in the most recent weighing is the lightest
if they are not even then:
the one which rose to the top is the lightest.
