HI.
I have some problem with Vessel of Shalassa. When i playing in standard map called (in polish) 'Miasto codow' [4 players... more info on screenshot]... enemy player can build boat during 3rd day!!! It's a miracle?
In every ?level?mode? (easy,normal, hrad, heroic) enemy player can bulit boat (easy mode too but rarely).
Requirements for Shipyard is 12 town level...
Someone explain me this? Because I must waiting to 12 day.

Have you checked the level of each town? Are there any boats around so you could summon one without building anything?

Sorry for the doublepost, got a problem of my own now. After downloading some custom maps, one of them (I think it's School of Sorcery) has made some changes to other maps, namely replacing Wolves and Manticores with custom creatures that are much more powerful than the old ones, and also changing the Ring of Speed from a ring to a weapon. Deleting the map may have helped but I'm afraid that it won't affect an already existing save of a campaign map I've already progressed further along.
Edit: Nevermind, a hint of cheating got me over the issue along with deleting the right map.

Actually, it's just the first map that I encountered those changes on. It was actually the Abyssal map, which I didn't even play...

Are there any good custom scenarios or even campaigns? I only found one so far, Walking Dead, and it was kinda meh.

Question regarding the situations where both heroes "lose" the battle. There are several (3?..maybe more) basic scenarios where I see this happening, my question is -- in what cases are the heros available for repurchasing and which are they not?
1). Armageddon/Word of Light/Curse of the Netherworld/Chain Lightning/Meteor shower...etc -- destroys all creatures on the battlefield. Are BOTH heros not available for repurchase? Just the one who cast the spell can repurchase? Both available?
2). After sequential "raise the deads", you manage to kill off all the other players troops/other player surrenders, but none of your ORIGINAL (i.e. non-raised) troops are still alive and kicking. I'm 99% certain in this case you "lose" your hero, but is available for repurchase.
3). During a siege battle in FORTRESS town, you kill off ALL of the troops EXCEPT those in the guard post before you surrender/get killed. What happens to the defending hero, who is left with ZERO troops? I assume he would disappear and be available for re-purchase the following turn. If that is the case, the best strategy for a very CLOSE battle in which only the guard post creatures are left would be to kill off all the other troops, surrender...then have a scout hero take the now EMPTY castle that same turn?
Had a battle like #3 recently starting with two huge armies (week 7, XL RMG) acad. vs. the fortress, where in the end it came down to the guard post dwarves vs. about 60 elem gargoyles. It was basically a race to see who's spells/tower archers could kill 60 elem gargs or 120 dwarves first....I ended up prevailing with about 20 gargs left...but wanted to know what would have happened had I surrendered hero.
Oh...side note -- How does the earning of EXPERIENCE for the battles work in conditions 1/2/3?

1) The hero who cast the spell is available for rehire and I think he gets the xp when bought from the tavern. But the enemy hero is toast, it is pretty much game over.
2) I think that used to be the case but now at least one unit from raise dead survives in the end of the battle. Or at least it did last time I tried.
3) I think defending heroes remain in tavern if opponent flees, yes. He gets xp.

Hi guys, can someone help me with the patch problem for HOMM5 limited edition US. I patch 1.4 -> 1.6 us patches and they installed fine. However, the product still said 1.0 and the new features from 1.6 don't work. I use Vista so that may be the problem, 'cause after I install the game the setup failed and said remote procedure call failed or something.

Never had that issue, can occasionally happen but not everytime you press right click..

Hi
I have a problem with map.
Me and my friend can't connect with each other. With all maps there is no problem. Only one map shows error number 0.2.0 and i don't know why, because version of our map is identical. This is the first problem.
Second:
There is script which teleport starting hero into desired place. But heroes from Academy, Necro and Dungeon are not teleported. I think it is because there is another script which destroys special buildings and artifactMerchant in this towns.
Third:
I mentioned above about script which should destroy 3 buildings:
-Shrine of the Netherworld
-Artifact Merchant in Dungeon
-Artifact Merchant in Academy
This script simply doesn't work...
Maybe You can advise me something

yeah but then he gave me the responsability to keep it active, and then I wen't on vacation and it kinda fell into pieces while I was gone, and I tried to revive it when I got back but it didn't work very well.
