Quote: Vampirism
-while a creature is under effect of Vampirism its morale is set to 0
-it removes all spell effects undeads are immune to (probably including Frenzy and Puppet Master)
It makes creature undead, nuff said.

Yes, these pages help a lot
I realized the effect of Regeneration obviously depends on initiative so the Treant might not be the best choice after all. The Emeralds on the other hand... and with haste

Does anyone know if Regeneration can be cast on undeads? Just out of curiosity.

Hmm. Did word of light gain fire element and cotn water? Does that mean they are boosted by elemental artifacts? Or destructive masteries? (Though I doubt the latter ) And the hive is immune to magic and as a tier 8 unit it should not be killed by 1 hero attack either

Yes but vamps already have life drain. Maybe it does not stack.

Will Players be able to run Hammer of Fate & Tribes of the East in the same installation\game?
Dwarves versus Orcs (The battlescreens would be great!)
TotE is supposed to be stand-alone, but including everything from the previous games (base game and HoF). So Dwarves will be included in TotE. I am not sure if you can play the original campaigns, however, or just those of TotE. Even if you can, I doubt the base campaigns will feature Dwarves and Orcs (as random neutrals or similar), and I doubt the HoF campaigns would feature Orcs.
Although ... if a number of the features that come with TotE (and already with HoF) are retro-actively applicable to the original game (like alternate upgrades and such), then you don't hear me complain about a replay of the entire game .

Most probably:
- ToE will contain Dwarves, and all features so far
- ToE will ONLY contain its own campaigns and maps
- If H5/HoF is installed, then H5/HoF maps will be available under ToE (as is the case today with H5 maps under HoF), and new features will be available there as well (if possible: e.g. random stacks can be Orcs)
- Even without H5/HoF installed, original maps can be added as .h5m files
- Campaigns are a whole different story: they won't be available under ToE even if H5/HoF is installed (as is the case in HoF with H5 campaigns) - you will have to launch H5/HoF for these.
- In 1.5, you can play user campaigns (.h5c) and this should most likely be possible in ToE too. However, there are still problems when packaging H5 campaigns as .h5c so far (in bringing heroes from one campaign to another).

"The effect is cumulative with any natural Life Drain ability. The spell can't be cast on Mechanical or Elemental creatures. Life drained is a fraction of the damage dealt, depending on the Dark Magic mastery of the caster." AoH-Toe Dark Magic
So the vamps will become even stronger with this spell!

Would you use Arcane crystals for Defense or Offense - I guess it would be nice to block your archers and you could also trap big creatures if AI places them bad or something.. Quite a good spell

It's always a defensive spell although you could probably use it to keep a speedy unit from running away, but that rarely works with such small battlefields anyway.

OMG we shall never forigve you!! Noo about the arcane crytal thing... this is going to be sooo sweet for creeping! Ok not against small creatures but the big ones! You could block your archers forever and they'd never get to them unless you run out of mana but say for mages this one is definetly a nice one. Can you actually cast more than one of these? If so you can totally srew over large units...

Aha, ok. But they will be added when the game ships, right?

What Duncan and Nicolai missing? Duncan is one of my favorite heroes, he and Wulfstan seems like a nice duo. Hope Duncan gets married with Freyda in the end, they would be a nice couple
