I noticed that there is a little mistake in the demo.The blood-eyed cyclops's attack functions as the fire breath ability(f.e.:black dragon) but its not written into his skill box and not even mentioned anywhere!!

I'm also glad they improved it, I just wish they would have made it a little more spell power dependent with a little less bade damage.
So Word of Light still affects undead and demonic troops only? (

okay, finally got around to play TotE, and liked what I saw so far.
Orcs: I thought I was going to dislike this faction due to their lack of magic, but they are actually fun to play, and their racial is great. Sure, it punishes you for waiting and defending, but the benefits easily compensate it. However, as usual, some units I found to be rather useless.
Goblins are, for the most part, living ammo. Unless the enemy gets the idea of directly attacking them, you can go by with like 50 of them in your main army. Traps and Defiling Magic are fun toys, but not much more.
Centaurs are, as someone mentioned before, extremely fragile, and their size makes them pretty vulnerable without tactics. Blood rage compensates for some of that, but I still had a lot of losses of these, up to completely losing the stack several times.
Warriors too are pretty fragile, and I found them to be as useful to my playstyle as zombies and overseers... low speed, respectable damage but take too many losses to be useful in the heat of battle.
as for the Renegade /alternate Haven units, I'm glad to see that these units were somewhat normalized. Except for the Crossbowmen, which still inflict mad damage with no range penalty. Seraphs are also still quite powerful, but I guess the lack of Ressurection evens this out.
other stuff:
I found a new artifact that I haven't seen mentioned yet:
Mask of Equity. This one helps low-level heroes when fighting high-level heroes by giving them temporary bonus stats for every level difference.
When the First Aid Tent's turn comes around and you control it, all of your creatures it can be used on are highlighted, respectively, the squares they stand on. Nice feature!
They also made much headway when it comes to on-map animations rather than cinematics for everything. There should be subtitles for the speaking though, even though I had little trouble understanding the speaker.
Aswell as special scenario elements like the catapults in the orc mission that you can use to destroy towns instead of fighting the garrison.
Threat Levels seem to be a bit exaggerated in normal mode. Most "moderate" and "challenging" stacks were easy to fight with little losses.
Warpath +weak stacks from a week of the peasants or somesuch + Quick Combat = ownage movement ^^

I wonder whether the threat level is based on the numbers shown to the player (e.g. horde of skeletons) or on the real numbers including that the threat level might get even higher if there are upgraded creatures.
That way you could even get something useful out of it
Hmm thinking about it I think it's unlikely but I would still like to know it for sure.

Don't tell me you expected the goblins to be useful after what you saw in dark messiah Though they do have uses. The specials of their upgrades and the fact that they can be used for sacrificing or throwing while being weak make them strictly support.
As for the catapults it gave me an idea...
Why not give the hero the ability to build a catapult so that the opponent cannot turtle in his castle should we choose to prevent loss at all costs? As a penalty it could be costly, constructing one could take days or you could have it an a independent unit recruitable from town that has to travel the distance to fire.

It would need expert war machines, basic attack, and perhaps a few other things. It would work like a mine in reverse, and it fires only (twice?) per day. A castle can rebuild, but it is expensive, and wastes the build for the day.

Dark Messiah refuses to run without frequent crashing in singleplayer, so I didn't "see" much of them.
My point is, you don't really need the upgrades, and you don't need many of them either. Altough trappers can at least try to mess up the enemy movement while waiting to get eaten /sacrificed / thrown.
I wouldn't mind them if they were the only creature in the lineup that has low value in actual combat.

Goblins are probably going to be useful in early game as sacrifice to increase your blood rage. Most Orc units are pretty weak without blood rage so neutral Orc units are going to be easy to take down.
The new golem looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Kragh looks like General Chang.

Those who played the demo already know something about Kuynak. And wow the resemblance with general Chang is amazing. Talk about coincidence huh?

Seeing the hero images is making me wonder when the hero update is coming for the Stronghold. (I'm not implying that Sfdanza should hurry! Honest!)

I just learned that pushing 'm' adds a mana bar to your hero picture.
I hope they have something similar for dark energy points.
