The Coffee House.
For those of you who won't drink, won't smoke, but do understand subtle innuendoes, here's your haven! Discuss amongst yourselves the Theory Of Everything, social topics, and armchair philosophies over a game of chess.
Here's a starter that almost everyone here can relate to: the advantage and downfalls of public education.
I ain't the server either, so find someone else to make your damn tea!

Now we need only those topless waitresses giving us something to drink from those huge cups. (cups...get the joke?)

Written whilst sipping on Earl Grey tea and honey.
Milena: High Math? What exactly does that entail? Trigonometry? Calculus? Or algebra? It's been a good two years since I've really had anything to do with math above basic arithmetic.
Celfious: This is a coffee house, not a convenience store. Buy your cancer sticks at a gas station or something.

High Maths?
OK, I'm going to give you an example.
When I was a very little girl- must have been in the first or second grade- my father was studying High Maths again. So, curious what those $ signs were for, I asked him what High Maths is about. He said (I still remember his exact words): "it's about addition of curves". I was so impressed by this that I couldn't forget it. Now I see why my Dad's face was wry. Matrixes, elasticity, functions and I don't know what. :-((

How come you don't get it?
No, you're not SUPPOSED to get it and you are lucky. High maths is the most horrible of all stuff.

Well, maybe my father just said the first nonsense that came to his mind. We still don't study integrals but we will the next semester. :-((

Icky math...
Poor gal. *hands Milena a chocolate*
So, coffee houses, eh? You know what happened at coffee houses in the 17th century?
Well, people in the 17th century believed coffee was a "feminine" drink and that drinking coffee caused feminine things in the drinker. Women especially believed this because in the 17th century, only men went to coffee houses, and when they got home, the women were upset because the men never wanted to have sex. They blamed it on the feminine properties of coffee. what they didn't know is that in the 17th century, there were prostitiutes on the second floor of coffee houses.
In other places, people actually believed that if a woman drank coffee while pregnant, she'd have a daughter instead of a son because of the feminine properties in coffee.
Pretty strange stuff, huh?
So, any, are there any prostitutes on the second floor of this coffee house? Perhaps, sexy elven prostitutes? I could use some entertainment. I mean, I don't even like coffee, so I gotta have some reason for being here.

An interesting history lesson, Rogue.
Nice to know we're all full of useless trivia here. As for the wh0res...it was hard enough to make the down payment and buy the materials. Now you want me to supply other "services" without turning so much as a dime on my original business? You'll just have to wait for these better things, my friend, but I will keep your suggestion in mind.
Now, we've got coffees and teas in all colors and flavors and a potential wealth of customers. Please make yourself comfortable.

To Milena...
...one question: Are you in college?
I happen to like High Maths (some guys will probably kill me for saying this) as I finished a maths profile High School and the Management college. But I can understand Milena because if you don't like maths it can be very "painfull" to learn, he-he

*FEELS ON THE BRINK OF GOING OFF". My friend, I can see you drooling. Please. Now listen. I'll say it slowly. STOP DROOLING! Now, take your outhanging parts where they belong. Then look around, see my fingers snapping... yeah, my friend, it was just a cute dream. :-P

...all right, first off I hate coffee, but if there's also tea, that should be compensation enough, but there better be seperate rooms, because I don't even like the aroma of coffee much...
...I guess for starters, I'll just have a glass of (unsweetened) iced tea
...another thing, unless I reap some profits from the prostitutes, if you plan on installing that as part of your place, then I'm going to shut down this operation...and I don't take bribes
Anyway, although I still have no idea what these High Maths are supposed to be, I guess I can be glad I don't...Calculus is giving me enough pains to last a lifetime, as it is

RMS, trust me, a snow can't teach you anything. This doesn't apply to ME of course. I have known many girls that define themselves as such but for some really I feel respect. They can make great teachers.

Whoa, I think you just contradicted yourself even moreso than did I...if there's anything that a lady of the night can teach me, that I don't already know, I don't think it's worth learning...no self-respecting person would degrade themselves, and offer their bodies for all, to entertwine and commit sinful acts together...no, I think I'll stick with good old school, thank you very much...
...so I'm consevative and generally act upon an orthodox of a large minority...what can I say?

I'm more of a "nun" in RL but imagine I was a snow indeed. If I was and you happened to find it somehow, how would you feel? I mean, I hope it wouldn't mean I can't be cerebral or make good points.

Aside to Rogue as he is sipping Earl Grey and honey...
I notice there is already a conflict that could be summed up in two basic Thoth archetypes. I have the Empress down, but I'm not sure whether to call the other Hermit or Fool... What do you think?
