Got two things to say really. Amazing, and "Were not worthy" (Ala Bill and Ted). How you do this is beyond my comprehension. If I had a 1/10 of the talent needed for this I would consider myself very talented. I know you are a mod, but this is deffinately qp worthy.

Yes and no, it depends what you mean.
Yes, you are welcome to make your new creatures compatible with the framework I'm describing. This means, as it has been explained above:
- you tell me how many creature IDs you need
- I'll reserve them (I still have to make a public list), and tell you their number
- you use these IDs for your creatures (which means updating 2 files)
(I'll be more explicit if you need)
But you don't need to include any file from here in your mod. The framework will be released soon (hopefully this week for the final version). The idea is to spread the framework as widely as possible, not to tie it to a specific mod.
Of course, when you do release your mod, you'll be welcome to link to the framework as well. And if you want, you can even put it and your mod in one package.

@Gnoll_Mage: I don't know how crazypill found out the first time for the HoF exe, and I mostly looked for about the same bits in ToE. I can explain briefly what you have to look at, but not really why.
First, there are a number of tables which lengths are specified. Look inside data.pak/types.xml for <dbid>: those are the entry points mostly for the tables GameMechanics/RefTables/. Each has a different lengths, and they are of two types: lengths lower than 128 are stored in a signed short (1 byte - for values between -127 and 128), while lengths higher than 128 use a long integer (4 bytes)...

A question do the short tables require the change of a second byte like the long table which requires me to change the one with C3 CC CC, because I want to add an Artifact.

Great job there! Finally including and modding creatures could be a cakewalk for everyone eager to be creative!!!
I'll wait for the final version before starting ^^, Just to be sure I dont mess to much with files and such

Ok we have this standard
base creature --> alternate 1 upg - alternate 2 upg
3 x
7 levels, 21 creatures x 8 towns = 168 creatures
Now:
Could it be possible to have even more alternates per level?

4 x
7 levels, 28 creatures x 8 towns = 224 creatures
Or if more per level we could return to something like Heroes 2's chaotic systems where some creatures have zero upg, some have one, another 2 and a few 3? This could be different from each town also the higher levels like the 7evens shouldnt be exclusive for like having 3 different upg. This should be for all levels. Or new towns would also be sweet! No need to push most of the 300 creatures in towns either though. Should be at least 30 neutrals of possible 120 extra...
Having our lovely shadow dragon turn into either Black, Red or Crimson dragon Crimson! Man thanks to sfidanza and with some guidance I WANT make a Crimson Dragon (orginally thinking of Twilight Dragon)

135: Crimson/Twilight dragon (one of the dungeon dragon models)
136: Gold/Silver Dragon (one of the sylvan dragon models)
234: Enrager/Einherjar (either using the Berserker or Battlerager models from fortress)

Any slot under 180 is taken by original creatures. Slots from 180 through 187 are taken by the first pack creatures. Slot 188 is booked by Radar and I think the 15-20 last slots are booked by Kronos1000.
I'd suggest not to book a number in the middle just because you like it. It's the best way to mess up everything.

Ah sorry guys..I just turned overenthusiased
So which slots can be booked for me? 189, 190 and 191?
Nice swords by the way...remind me of the summon sword spell from Fable TLC.
