You almost never want to charge with Inferno against any faction except Dungeon, and occasionally Stronghold.
As a rule of thumb, if it looks like you're winning with Inferno in the beginning, then you're probably going to lose. At least that how it works for me.

Had two games with Phoenix, Academy vs Fortress (I was Academy and lost), and Inferno vs Haven (I was Inferno and OWNED Haven, bet you didn't think of THAT, did you? )

For my battles with Ash I think the wizard mana was a little bit lowish. With the inferno I got owned by dark lol.

I don't know why I had so low mana, I had Expert Enlightenment but didn't bother with Intelligence, I thought the Wizards have a lot of mana especially with enlightenment...
Also that Fear strike with the Nightmares was more harm than good, since otherwise the Champions would have struck the Angels with Frenzy instead of my Nightmares... can't believe I forgot that they'll run away if fear triggers. Despite this mistake I managed to defeat Haven with Inferno, and it wasn't even close.
Now probably people won't be afraid of Haven vs Inferno anymore
(and yes I had Swift Mind)
EDIT: I just figured out that Vampirism would have dispelled Blind as well so no need for that Stone Spikes. /facepalm

I never tried actually but from the Fan Manual:Quote:
The Dark Magic spell Vampirism, giving the target undead attributes, renders it immune to mind altering
effects that undead are immune to, and effectively dispels these effects if they are active. This includes
curses (Decay, Confusion, Frenzy, Blindness, Puppet Master), blessings (Regeneration), damaging spells (Wasp Swarm, not affected by Curse of the Netherworld, but by Word of Light instead), creature abilities like Seduction, Torpor... For heroes with no easy access to Light Magic dispelling spells, Vampirism can be a welcome alternative against powerful curses.

perhaps sandro's cloak was in play then. *shrugs*

Ive seen many times unicorn blinding Undead, Pao - Kais, some Elementals or Imperial/Battle Griffins, but they hadn't gone blind, they just werent able to retaliate.

Nice one, Inferno should have used something to get rid of the Arcanes, like either Dark Magic or Seducers.
And it's the first time I see Horned Overseers.

Tried to score Artificial Glory + Flaming arrows + Ring of Machine Affinity, but diplomacy never showed up. Neither did archery :/
And I put morale arty on Mages when I had Exp Ledaership, lol
In the second one I wasn't a truly Dark Knight I was just too afraid to Ressurect just to score a Puppet/Frenzy on that stack
