Maybe instead of QP's we should have M & M's, then for a reward everyone would have a little piece of delicious MightyMage for them self!
I really can't imagine what's better than that

We could have Geny and Elvin collaborate to decide who is rewarded, and some of us cranky older mods can just go take a nap.

How about "rainbow" QPs? 
like
1st star = red
2nd star = orange
3rd star = gold (has to differ enough from post count stars OR they need recolouring)
4th star = green
5th star = blue
6th star = purple
...
what's the max limit again?
Ah, it probably would hurt yer eye to see a multicolor starline under the avatar...

I am one of the earliest Members of HC board.. I joined the same month it was created... and I have NEVER gotten a Quality Red star... ofcourse your prolly saying.. then obviously nothing that Jinxer has posted in all these years is of any quality.. hahahah.. get it outta your system
But my point is.. I have seen Quality Red stars given out for some pretty silly posts... and I am sure outta my thousands of posts.. I have made atleast 1 enlightened post.. yet the giving out of these stars are based only on the opinion of the Mods... If they personally think the post is worthy??!?!?! Well who says there opinion is all that matters? Just cause they have a MOD avatar... doesnt mean that they are the divine knowledge of what is quality and what is not.
Now dont get me wrong here... I have survived this long without a quality star and it doesnt affect my ability to post or not post... Just think that the whole foundation of what the Red Quality stars stand for has no basis... Kinda like USA Printing Millions of Dollars with no gold to back it... Just cause MOD #13 decides he likes the post he throws out a red star... what does that really mean or prove? Cant understand why everyone has Drawn this thread out 27+ pages

Ya I think I am seeing the trend if you are buddies with the Moderators.. or IN the mOds circle.. then they are more likely to like what you are saying and throw out a red star...
For example... RedFoxFan3 has 27 Red Stars.... now come on... is this guy a SCHOLAR? Does everything he post gospal... is it blessed? Is he really that much more enlightened then the average poster here?

Well the toh board is mostly for gaming issues, I have given some since I was given moderator duties there but most who play there don't really care about posting much less getting a shiny. Anyways Ves had a reason to avoid this and some posts while good can only cause a controversy, people assuming I take sides etc. If you want point out posts you consider of quality and I will look into them, remember that I got a starless board so I don't know where to start lol Speaking of which I never gave one to nevermind for his RMG.
Edit: Hehe looks Vokial got to that in another board

Exactly.
In my first post in this thread (the one with all the "overs"), I had seriously considered using Jinxer as a good example when I said the number of stars say very little about the poster and their worth to the community.
I don't know him, but I've been around long enough to know that he and some of the other TOH people with no QPs are probably far more important parts of this community than many of the people with a bunch of red stars.
I won't say that QPs are COMPLETELY meaningless, it's just that they are don't have NEARLY as much meaning as people like to give them.

Those came years ago Jinxer. System's been in place for a few years where if you feel a piece deserves a qp, you can nominate it in the various feedback threads.
Normally you're not supposed to nominate your own work, but sometimes you gotta bend the rules--just a little bit.
Edit: Reading Kainc's post makes me want a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Actually Sox got most of those QP's when he retired being a mod.
When you have been a mod for awhile & you retire, Val gives you Qp's for your time helping out as a mod.
As for the April fools.
Some people fell for it.
It's funny as heck lol.
People got hurt HAHA.
That means we did a good job

You know know Qp's is just a syste,. Like a prize for doing something special.
HC is a place to make friends, have a good time & talk about things we like.
I think thats kind of low personally to quit only because of no QP's.
I wont say how i feel on here in public though.
I will just leave it at that.
