Then I am going to make it faction by faction instead of unit by unit so you may have to wait until tommorrow or the day after that because I am going to be pretty busy today.

Too many units, even with the Tear of Asha thing. 5 units per tier, 12 tiers per faction, or 60 units per faction. X 20 factions or 1200
units! Way too many.

Hi Everyone!
I thought this would be the best place to put my faction ideas here. They are far from complete so any comments would be welcome. I introduce 4 new factions based mostly on H5 but rethinking older versions as well.
Air-castle
Hero: Windrider or Wind-listener (human or elf). Might hero, with focus mainly on attack and knowledge.
Racial ability: No name so far (windriding isn't too cool), it would function like DE in ToE, you could collect points and use it for various things with a screen like a Marketplace:
- on adventure map, to buy movement points (maybe a racial spec would be reqiured), the later you buy points a week, the more expensive they become
- while battle, you could increase speed (Basic), increase init (Advanced) of your units or even make them fly (Expert) for a round or for the end of battle
Spells:
Mage guild, specializing in Light and Summoning Magic
Creatures:
Mostly high ATT, low HP creatures with no initial flyer (racial compensates for it), 1 archer and 1 caster
Examples:
- an originally non-flying bird (e.g. Moa) that would look a bit comical while flying
- some cavalry that would look like a Pegasus when made flying
- lvl7 must be a Dragon whether it's some Chinese-stlye one or the Gold brought back (they would worship Sylath, Dragon of Air)
Bastion
Hero: Beastmaster (lizardman). Might hero, focusing on mainly defense and a bit less attack.
Racial skill: It would be something similar to the WoG's stack XP, just simplified and would grant bonuses like Blood Rage (stacks could also lose XP, e.g. days spent without fighting or creatures dying from the stack, not like WoG where the total XP always remains the same, just for the balance)
Spells: No spells, only Warcries. Call of Blood should be replaced, others can work.
Creatures: The town is a renewed version of the H3 Fortress, so any old Fortress-dweller should be considered here as well.
- would get the Wyvern from the Orcs, that could be replaced with the good old T-bird
- maybe also gain the Hydra from Dungeon
- dinosaurs or dinosaur riders, maybe, if they look too familiar with the Dungeon's raiders, they should also be stolen, I think
- the Wyvern would provide flying power and another low-level shooter and maybe one Shaman-like caster
Ngome:
Hero: Houngan. Magic hero, focusing on spellpower and attack.
Racial ability: I call it Absorption. When the hero encounters an enemy, it can scare away creatures like the Astral Spirit commander in WoG, depending on the stack power (capped to some level, not to make a mighty Houngan too powerful against neutrals) and/or the enemy Hero's level or XP, if there is one present. Additionally, the more creatures he scares away, the more skill points the Houngan receives for that battle.
Spells:
Mage guild, specializing in Dark and Summoning or Light magic.
Creatures:
I would like to see a faction based on African culture and voodoo. Unfortunately, I don't have much knowledge in that.
- I guess some wildcat would fit in nicely
- Possessed: it would be a bit similar to the Dwarves' Berzerker
- some Zombie-like but much more powerful creature
- a caster that would additionally make the Undead morale penalty vanish
Maze(/Dungeon/Grove)
Hero: Ruler (minotaur or trog). Magic hero, focusing on mostly spell power and knowledge.
Racial: Ruling. This means that as they advance they can cast more spells at the same time while suffering init, mana and SP penalty. They wouldn't be able to cast mass spells and get "Master of..." specs, instead they would get magic strengthening specialities that would make the penalties disappear for a type of magic school. They would also be able to learn Runes (maybe used for Mana as well) and Warcries. They wouldn't get SP penalties for these but init and mana penalties would only to be treated by Sorcery.
Spells: Mage guild, providing one less spell than usual, and a supporting building, Exotic Library that would give one spell or rune or warcry for each level. (2nd lvl Warcries are considered lvl3 and 3rd lvl Warcries are considered lvl5)
Creatures: Mostly H3 Dungeon-dwellers.
- they would gain the Minotaur from Dungeon
- Trog would return
- maybe they could absorb the Manticore as well
- since they don't worship any Dragon, lvl7 is not a Dragon
- humans can only be considered as slaves and gladiators
Alternate version:
Because of the loyalty of the Mino/BlackD, an alternate version was formed as well.
The dark elves would form the Grove (worshipping Shalassa) and only take their true Elven troops and their spec, Irr. Magic. So they would receive another Dragon (a weaker Azure?) and the Naga (since Shalassa is a patron of Nagas and I think, it would fit in the matriarchal Dark Elven society).
On the other hand, the Minotaur and the BlackD would return to an old-new looking Dungeon, containing Malassa's new worshippers and own creations.
So, opinions and ideas are welcome, though I have provided a lightly discussed version (with other Hungarian fans) of these factions.

I like the idea for an african-inspired faction! I will try to make my own version of it, probably the main race will be some sort of cat people.
