Sixth actually, and spamming is when you post something that is totally at odds with the thread. Of course, that would make this post technically a spam as well, but then, I've never been one for blind obedience.

Oh just crawl back your hole please, you're getting annoying.
Now onto a more civilised topic, can we make Conflux the next town please?

Dark Dwarves sounds nice, I second that.
Seeing as we'll have to wait before the factions are more "fleshed-out" untill they're all done, we might as well ask for some nice sounding factions.

This is a private proposal, not a free-for-all, if you want to post your faction somewhere, make it one of those threads, or start your own.

Speciality: Conqueror: All unit’s in Tynia’s army gain +2 morale when they are attacking a city, enemy hero etc., if they are attacked they get -2 morale
Racial Ability: Bastion uses a variation of the Dwarven runic spells in which they cast pretty much around the same spells but instead of resources they sacrifice creatures in the stack or in an adjacent stack to use the rune, the higher the level the less they need to sacrifice.

Those specialty bonuses are very weak. Even if the hero were level 30, it would be only 6% increase for only one type of elemental. I suggest 1% per level.

just a few corrections

Get Lost.
He's right. It could end with a dark and light side of each faction. Just look at those death knights. I ask again: Aren't dark dwarves from WoW?.
Quote: Conflux
You got a damn lot of nerve to make that
Quote: 1: Wisp: Moon Wisp- Will-O-The-Wisp /Sun Wisp- Shining Wisp
2: Homunculus: Homunculus Warrior-Homunculus Commander/ Homunculus Defender-Homunculus Guard
Homunculus! Cool idea. Still those warrior- and commander suffixes are used before, aren't they? Will-O-The-Wisp comes from Magic card.
Quote: 5: Water Elemental: Steam Elemental-Mist Elemental/Ice Elemental-Frost Elemental
5: Air Elemental: Wind Elemental-Twister Elemental/ Cloud Elemental-Sky Elemental
5: Nature Elemental: Plant Elemental-Tree Elemental/Animal Elemental-Beast Elemental
5: Earth Elemental: Rock Elemental- Boulder Elemental/Clay Elemental-Obsidian Elemental
5: Fire Elemental: Lava Elemental- Magma Elemental/Lightning Elemental-Electric Elemental
The same idea as from HOMM3. It's good and cool. My only question is: Where on earth did that nature elemental come from.
Quote: 8: Metal Elemental: Copper Elemental-Iron Elemental/Bronze Elemental-Steel Elemental
9: Magic Elemental: Divine Elemental-Heavens Elemental/Arcane Elemental-Psychic Elemental
Only accessible to those with the Tear of Asha/Holy Grail
10: Shadow Elemental: Dark Elemental- Abyssal Elemental/ Fear Elemental-Terror Elemental
11: Light Elemental: Shining Elemental-Radiant Elemental/ Silver Elemental- Gold Elemental
Metal elemental could end up looking like a golem(so could earth, but earth elemental has always been there). For every other elemental in your line up I would like to say that I don't like new elementals since they aren't based on elements.
Quote: 5: Wererat: Weredog-Werewolf/Wereboar-Werebear
What about a wererabbit?

Metal Elementals and Nature Elementals are based from the five element cycle of ancient China, Magic Elementals are from Homm3 and Light and Darkness are considered elementals (Elrath and Malassa are Elemental Dragons)also Will-O-The-Wisp actually comes from Mythology if you look far back enough

Maybe it's just me, but haven't HOMM always used the greek four element cycle? My opinion is that it should continue to be that way. The magic elementals are from HOMM3, but most people still hate them.
I'm glad you could tell me about will-o-the-wisp

Your Welcome, also can somebody please answer the question what faction do you want next? Also I had this idea, if anyone here has played D and D they will know this, you see in that game there are more divisions of alignemts then Good, Neutral and Evil, They also had Lawful, Neutral, and Chaotic, they then combined on of the alignments from the good-evil scale with one from the Lawful-Chaotic scale, I think the factions should also have that scale, this would show their alliances (the same alignemts on both scales)and truces(the same alignemt on one scale)
Lawful Good
Haven
Palace
Castle
Neutral Good
Sylvan
Academy
Chaotic Good
Sanctuary
Fortress
Atlantean
Lawful Neutral
Tower
True Neutral
Conflux
Rebel
Chaotic Neutral
Stronghold
Lawful Evil
Bastion
Necropolis
Abyss
Neutral Evil
Keep
Reptilian
Chaotic Evil
Inferno
Asylum
Dungeon

I know that system, I'm currently working on a heero system with nine factions, one for each of the nine alignment-combinations.
I don't know the history of your Academy, but, usually, academy wouldn't be lawful good, imo. Lawful good is for paladins and stuff, people who forcefully defend the course of good. I think academy would fit better into a more neutral faction, maybe even true neutral, at least for the wizards sake, who desire ALL kind of knowledge, or into lawful neutral, since they still tend more to order than to chaos.

Dragonlance actually (earliest definite reference I could find).
Quote: Maybe it's just me, but haven't HOMM always used the greek four element cycle? My opinion is that it should continue to be that way.
Quote: If he wants to use another line up, then it's his own choice. Let's not be so conservative about that pesky line up
Touche? (pulled that from the New Fortress thread). Besides, no we haven't always used the Greek elemental system (except for H1 we've always had elememtals, but H1, H2 and H4 didn't use E-A-F-W for their magic systems, and neither does H5, except for damage).
Can we have Necropolis next please?
