http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0ZjjMBXMpk at first when you said avatar this was what I thought you meant. I don't know what trailer the others watched, but the avatar one looked amazing. To my suprise I also am looking forward to The Last Airbender, even though I was not a fan of the cartoon. The trailer here is why.

I was told that this was the best HP movie yet. The trailers looked very impressive
I didn't care for it (too choppy). Some parts were decent. My impression of it might have been better if I'd seen the fifth movie; there were a few scenes that acted like I should have known what was going on that I would have been totally lost in if not for having read the book.

Hard to tell, it could take a while.
I just watched the fountain(2006) with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. Confusing yet inspiring, wondrous. I am not entirely sure I understood everything, I will have to watch it again. Very emotional story, worth seeing but probably not everyone's cup of tea.
From wiki:
The Fountain is a 2006 American science fiction/fantasy film written and directed by Darren Aronofsky that follows three interwoven narratives that take place in the age of conquistadors, the modern-day period, and the far future. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, whose characters' romance exists in all three time periods. The Fountain explores the themes of love and mortality, drawing influences from the Fountain of Youth and the Tree of Life. The film is framed with visual language by using transition scenes, light, and shapes.

This movie looks like a big win, with Bruce Willis on his consistent streak of good movies:

Surrogates. About a world where people live through bio-robotic vessels in safety. Probably a roughly accurate vision of life in the 22nd or 23rd century.

I have never seen Tron I think. it never is at the tv.
Terminator, I saw it but don't remember it so well, I remember terminator 2 better as I saw it 2 or 3 times and it's a cool movie (well, otherwise I wouldn't rewatch it )

A lot of people laugh at this, but Independance Day might be my favorite of all time. Sure I like the campy B-Movie slashers, but those are more for giggles. A lot of Disney movies are high on my list, however. Them thar boys can make sum movies.

Have anybody here seen District 9? Not to say it left me very excited, but it's still a very cool movie. And to the honor of it I must say it is very unexpected (Yes, I expected another alien invasion or something, but not that ).

Ive seen it, D9 i mean...it was entertaining and the camera work is amazing.
Besides i liked the actors...im all tired of watching Tom Cruise´s front vein, Denzel´s eating lip tick, Jim Carrey´s melted face, Penelope Cruz´s lack of expression and the list carries on...
People...is it just me or Nicholas Cage is pure ... well... ehmm garbage?
Was Heath Ledger as that good in Batman?...perhaps it was good...but as that good? My brother is a director and agreed with popular sayings. Did his death help this saying? (dont forget how art is).
I did not like that Joker... it had 0 fun and lots of violence (that was good) but i still find the "Batman Dead End" Joker more similar to the comic.
Returning to TRON, you should see that movie as its very entertaining but keep in mind its old..really old. Now TRON 2.0 (or Legacy) is coming to the screens and i think it will be mind-blowing. So, prep up with number 1.
I hate u all

Hmm I don't like slashers, but I actually like B-Movies (not the cheesy ones). I don't care if people complain and whine they're bad, they're actually pretty decent considering their budget, and the only ones who try to be original in some areas (especially fantasy flicks). I would even put them up with LotR, no joke. (no, this doesn't mean I actually degrade LotR to that level, I actually like it a lot, it's just that I like B-Movies also ). It is impossible for me to choose one favorite movie, however.

You know its true, deep inside you know it Dagoth. Jokers evil comes with a great smile...it can be painted but will not be the same as the teeth u get to see in a lunatic laugh. I invite u to discuss this gently, have u seen Batman Dead End? Are you a Batman comic fan?
Cause i admit i got tired long ago from the comics and then entered the dark knight universe and remain there until date. There is great acting in the movie, i just think that people are making a lot of sound because of the death of the actor. You know...getting on drugs and imitating ticks is not the only aspect of the joker and the rest of the carachter is what i feel is missing. I want madness and he only gave that to me when he was at the hospital. Not enough for me.

I tried to watch Brokeback Mountain because it got 5 stars in the local newspaper.
Conclusion: OVERRATED!
I watched through the whole movie and nothing happened in it.
Here is the full movie in a few setences and without spoiling (like there is anything to spoil here...)
1. Bla bla bla cowboys camp in the mountains and fall in love with eachother.
2. Bla bla bla they dont meet for a long time and get married and get kids etc.
3. Bla bla bla they want to meet up so that they can have sex in the mountains -.- One of the guys completly ignores his wife and his children.
4. Bla bla bla there is only lots of QQ in the rest of the movie.
