It's basically Dark Souls in Bloodbornes engine, attack animations and rolls are faster but not anywhere near the speed of Bloodborne.

If you liked dark souls or bloodborne more it's definetly worth a shot either way since it seems to appeal to both.

Also if you think Bloodborne is somehow a monster hunter clone you are severely wrong.

I don't like being aggressive or risk-taking in souls games which is something Bloodborne seemed to embrace. I liked the necessity of being careful and taking it slow in DS. I want to be punished for quickly jumping in, not rewarded. I want fights to be a slow grind, not fast-paced duels. If it's more a return to that I'm interested. If not I'll skip it.

For now I'll probably wait and see if the increased speeds make combat too fast or if it just makes it more streamlined without removing/mitigating the "mindgames".

Also, is there still ridiculous terrain collision and such? If that's fixed I'll probably pick it up quicker.

Combat is faster paced but remains mostly the same.  For weaker enemies, you can easily rush in and attack with little consequence other than getting ganged up on.  For tougher enemies, you absolutely cannot rush in.  You will be punished very hard for reckless behavior.  Every fight with anything other than a standard mook feels like a threat to me.

Stardew Valley.

Pretty fun, and relaxing. a nice little sandbox game.

put 18+ hours on that in total, at least according to the timer on the save file.

reccomended for Harvest Moon fans

I am really hating Dark Souls 3 now.  Sick and tired of hyper-aggressive, unlimited stamina enemies.  It gets even worse with the bosses.

I'm loving it so far, once I suss out which enemies are the high stamina tolerance ones it gets really easy. Plus remember that enemies spam attacks/abilities and if you can dodge them without rolling (or cost efficiently) you can stagger them with ease (tried and worked vs cleaver dudes in Undead Settlement, not so much luck with beasties in Farron Keep). That or simply don't get greedy, get one or two brief hits in and back away. Personally having trouble with a crazy creature that nonstop leaps in the air in Farron Keep, really troublesome, should be fine once I become comfortable with his move-set.

Still playing Oblivion, still loving it too. Ok I've got to admit the graphics are better in skyrim but the setting of Oblivion appeals to me so much more. The scenery is quite lovely, the quests are more interesting and enjoyable. I still laugh at the creepy faces of people when you talk to them though, if a person really likes you they will smile constantly while talking to you, even when they are telling you about their family getting murdered

Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition Here We Go!

I took Birthright as my route. So far I have liked it's actually quite different than Awakes. First glance everything seems cheesy but it's this samurai thing why everything needs to be heroic and every relationship are hate or love, there's absolutely no middle ground. Anyone else played this already?

Dark souls 3 still, been seriously binging on PvP, also fought the Abyss Watchers and holy crap the music and the atmosphere as well as the boss fight all felt epic and perfect! Loved every agonizing moment of it.

I liked The Abyss Watchers fight too, it was novel, even though it took me awhile to defeat them. Although, I would say the boss fight one fight after is 4 times as bad.

I am currently stuck at the last boss who is yet another hyper-aggressive dude with unlimited stamina and non-stop multi-hit combos.

It is a lazy design and just goes to show how lazy the development team has become with the series.  In a way, I am glad this in the end of the Dark Souls series.  I would not look forward to yet another slog full of uninspired bosses and a dull story.

A fun read. Nostalgia is strong with this one (though personally I didn't play the original Warcraft only the sequels). On one hand it's cool to see the humble beginings, but on the other there are some inconsitencies (Demons are from Hell?), and that's not something I like (although looking at the map, there are many recognizable locations). I prefer the more refined modern lore. I really enjoyed Warcrafts II unique atmosphere (dat music and sounds!), though the franchise really started for me after Warcraft III hit the shelves. I think the game made a bigger impact on RTS genre and gaming in gerneral (not to mention it started the MOBA genre) then it was initially recieved. I still remember the "very good but not groundbraking" reviews in various magazines. Oh how wrong they were...

Nevertheless it's incredible how the franchise took such a long way since the original Warcraft. Many people might dislike the franchise, but reading through books like WoW Chronicles V1 it only ascertains me that it's one the best settings of all time (and many people seem to agree). It's a phenomenon, like it or hate it...

PS: Stevie that game your playing reminds me of a Playstation exclusive called 'Flow'.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. So far one of the better Warhammer 40k games but hardly flawless.

Good:
- Fairly good visuals and sound - even though it's certainly not the best looking or sounding game around, it does quite well in that regard.
- A nice amount of tactical options available and even low-end ships seem to have their use - if only to use them as oversized torpedoes against something bigger and nastier.
- Ship management outside combat - which is essentially preparation for combat - is interesting, with most of the options meaningful.
- The different "races" play uniquely enough, although the balance seems... questionable (that's something for MP though, which I haven't tested, nor intend to for now).

Bad:
- UI takes some time to get used to and many icons/buttons are VERY small. Ship stats are nearly unreadable in some screens.
- Loading times could use some reduction.
- Crashes... fairly frequent, both during loading or out of nowhere in the middle of a mission.
- Most missions' first playthrough is an auto-loss. Because you do not deploy optimally (usually there is no way to know how to deploy optimally from the very beginning), because you choose the wrong ships for the mission (like something slow and brutish while the mission requires something fast - you learn what should be used where via trial and error), because you're not lucky (some mission require pure luck to even come out victorious - like scoring criticals almost constantly to overcome the assault of 3-4 times bigger fleet) and so on. Getting the job done from the first try is something rare.
- Too many cat and mouse missions. Chasing something fast around the map with a bunch of space snail equivalents is anti-fun.

The fence:
- To view the battle in its full glory, you need to zoom in quite a bit. That's not a problem as such but in the general situation you need to micro-manage your ships a lot which you can't do if you zoom in too much.

Oh I think that a lot of us first started playing Warcraft when Warcraft 3 came out. It was a great game, though I did not like the expansion. (one of the few)

But the old games were still fun and the lore has changed or been refined a lot. All for better most of the times. But I just love how WoW has been shaped through the years. A lot has happened

On DS3 is anyone else struggling with the Boreal Dancer? Love the atmosphere and the boss, but I literally can't win at all, she one hits me, she one hits my summons. After dying 6 times I decided to practice by being summoned, and not a single success after 20 or so summons.
