Tsar-Ivor said: On DS3 is anyone else struggling with the Boreal Dancer? Love the atmosphere and the boss, but I literally can't win at all, she one hits me, she one hits my summons. After dying 6 times I decided to practice by being summoned, and not a single success after 20 or so summons.
Allow me to speak as a member of the online Dark Souls community (despite only playing offline): git gud
In all seriousness, it took me about 21 times to kill the thing. The only thing giving me more trouble is the last boss. Are you fighting her early on or later in the game? If you are fighting her as soon as possible, that may explain the problem: you are too low level-wise. If it is later on in the game, I don't know what to tell you other than to keep at it. She can bleed but it takes quite a few hits for it to trigger. I don't think she has any other glaring weaknesses unfortunately. Use the pillars to avoid her second phase onslaught.

Was thinking Oblivion + mods will be a fiesta, but ended in a fail. Every 10 minutes or so, the game is crashing, or black screen, looks like graphics memory gets overloaded. I have a good video card so no clue why such disaster, tried dozens of video settings, same. A pity because that game rocks.

I sparred with the boss in the Boreal Valley, (as in I fought him once and died) then I was doing invades and happened on the old lady sitting down, so i put my sword in her (as I cannot abide useless people- role playin as Hajime Saito/Makoto Shishio). Currently lvl 41, I assumed scaling is just as poor as in ds2, guess I was wrong then.

The scaling is pretty bad. I really, really miss being able to upgrade armor. It made fights a little easier.
I cannot remember what level I was when I beat the Dancer. I know by the point I fought her, I had put all of the kings of their thrones.
Overall, I find the experience to be disappointing. The only area that really wowed me was the Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. The story, as always, is just as bad as the other games. "Go kill 4 people and then go link the fire" is not compelling. Dark Souls 2 is heavily criticized over enemy diversity but Dark Souls 3 isn't any better. Half of the bosses and the majority of mooks are just dudes in armor. Poison is a complete joke. Frost & bleed are too situational to be useful. It just feels like a step-back to me.

If you haven't played The Sith Lords, get that too. The gameplay isn't very different from the first game but the story and the overall atmosphere are excellent - a somewhat different take on the Star Wars universe with more gray nuances and less two-dimensional characters than usual.

Funnily, I'd got it before I bought the first one. Sadly, my saves of the game had to be deleted, so now I'll try to play these games in the chronological order.

Tried Overwatch cause free beta is available atm. Will be playing with my friends some more over the weekend probably. Generally it's a fun game, but it seems quite straightforward, even for a shooter. Production values are top notch, but I don't know if I would like to buy the full version, especially because I would need PS Plus to play it (my rig is too weak for it).

Crusader Kings. Idk, that game is just so good, I find myself spending half of my day playing it. I started my current run as the County of Belgrade. Luck being on my side, I managed to become an independent state and form the Kingdom of Serbia, and slowly (not really) expanded my influence onto the most of the Balkan. Vassalized the Russian dukes and conquered the pagan tribes in the north, then I grabbed a few more king titles (Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Finland and Russia) followed by my invasion of Sicily which was overrun by Muslims. Next I snatched Tunis and the coast of today's Libya, vasslized some lords in North-Eastern Spain and South-Western France. Started fighting with Muslims over Jerusalem and ended up taking it along with the rest of the coastal area north of it. After that I waged a war with the French king and ok his title in the end. He ended up as my vassal which has earned me quite a lot of territory. Currently I'm trying to keep my country from falling apart because my lord is a depressed chump with low stats overall.
If anyone likes a good strategy, I'd recommend that he gives this game a shot.

Playing Dark souls 3, finally got some farming done on silver knights and leveled up to 65 then proceeded to thrash Aldrich, and then with a slightly more effort I beat the Dancer too. Who knew tho, that after facing those two my life was only going to get worse?!
Can't believe I doubted OD, Lothric castle/Consumed King's Garden with hyper buffed and insane stamina Cathedral Knights, I mean holy **** tits... at first I was just getting greedy by assuming I can get any more than one hit in. If you wanna get out unscathed you need 55 stamina 1 hit and dodge a 5 hit combo and then you literally have time for 1 hit before it starts again, the Puss dudes with dragons out of their arms are a defo NoNo just leave them be, my god...
Also, Untended Graves has to be the most cancerous place I've been to yet, it's not hard per-se, just really really REALLY annoying, and the boss, managed to beat him on the second try, but literally cause I copied my tactic from the Cathedral guards 15 min before it.

Lords of the Realm II.
Nostalgia hit me again, and to be an old game it still has a pretty solid gameplay.

For the latter, I'm doing a kind of a challenge, to beat the career mode with only a single car(Honda Civic) I picked from the start.

Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition.
Boy, I'm so glad I have this local game shop in which I pre-order it. The game is out of stock, and in order to get it now you would need to pay double it's price at least.
I started with Birthright, Hard and Classic modes (so you're characters can die). Game has incredible production values, and the art style is killing me (in positive way of course). It's also harder then I remember (two attacks usually kill your character and there's plenty of opponents), but this could be due to the fact that a lot of time passed since I played the last entry. Those 3 games should give me something like 100 hours of gameplay, so I'll be busy for a long time

Have it as well. I absolutely love the samurai style the game has. True, paired enemy attacks are brutal. Still, don't think it's that hard of a game, specially if you grind with skirmish. Story is not that good but characters are mainly pretty good/interesting. Don't like the main character, his laughter is particularly irritating. Game/s has had quite bad reviews but I think the game has quite many good things going for it.

me too. But every time I get to industrial era, more than 6 civs make a large map unplayable, 1-2 minutes for each AI, 10-15 minutes between turns. Huge turn off, can't finish any game, now trying small map with 5 civs.
