Homer171 said: Have it as well. I absolutely love the samurai style the game has. True, paired enemy attacks are brutal. Still, don't think it's that hard of a game, specially if you grind with skirmish.
Well I figure that if I'll grind little, the game will be easier. It always was so (1-hit KO's etc). I plan not to bother too much with details, like builds or best pairings, I just want to finish those games and have a blast. I wonder about Conquest, they say it's harder overall, there's no grind for instance...
Imo nothing will ever beat Path of Radiance in my eyes, this game hit me on so many levels that I think no Fire Emblem entry will ever be better.
And yeah the enemy pairings are brutal, but the system feels like a step down from Awakening. I just don't see any strategic value in pairing my characters when it comes to battles. It's better to just position them next to one another. I don't remember how this worked in Awakening...

Me too. I've bought "Birthright" and this is my first "Fire Emblem" game. Playing it on classic normal and I must say this game is fun and provides me with quite some challenge. So far I'm more than satisfied.

me too. But every time I get to industrial era, more than 6 civs make a large map unplayable, 1-2 minutes for each AI, 10-15 minutes between turns. Huge turn off, can't finish any game, now trying small map with 5 civs.
Just got the game and as am a n00b to the Civilization series only played small maps until now and enjoying the hell out of it. That's a real shame to hear, was looking forward to play bigger maps at some point. I hate it when AI turns are excruciatingly long, for h5 we're lucky to have Quantomas AI.

To be fair tho, many of the French wonders have far more sentimental value to the Germans than the French. Take the palace of Versailles for instance, it's where Germany was officially unified, or Arc de Triomphe, Germans troops have marched under it triumphantly more times than the French lol.

It's different alright. I first tough Awakening pairing system was better as well, but Fates system is just bit more complicated. The paired unit don't actually hit whit it's full attack potential, it's easier to block whit paired unit, friendships level adds more frequency to blocks and other buffs, there is also "pair meter" shield symbols what you get attacking/defending, you can get these bonuses next to ally also but it's easier to force a bond with paired + stat boosts but depends on situation if it's good to pair or not.

Been playing Stellaris and I have to say it's a paradox game, just every edict is not behind level 800 administrative tech. I am utterly disappointed with the Avian portrait selection. I mean, I know how birds evolved, but get the feathered, beakless dinos out of my bird pictures.
The alliance system I like a lot, vetoing rules, but especially the procedurally generated names. Names like "The Favorable League" sound like something out of Dwarf Fortress.

Playing Bravery Second, so far aim not impressed. Feels too much of the previous game. It does not help that the main hero is crybaby. Still quite early in the game so it can hopefully improve.

Salt & Sanctuary It's basically a 2D version of Demon/Dark/Blood souls. It has the thin story, interesting areas, diverse weapons and armor sets, a stamina bar (because, yet again, you are the only person in the universe with stamina), magic, items, no pausing, perishable experience, etc., etc. For what it's worth, I like it far better than Dark Souls 3.
If you are a fan of any of the Souls games, I highly recommend it. It's made by Ska Studios, who made the Dishwasher, Dishwasher/Vampire games, so expect a bleak setting. It's about $18.00 on Steam and PS4.
=================================
Speaking of Civ V, I am replaying it as well. My goal is to beat the game with every civilization and I think I have maybe 10 left or so. Oddly enough, I have never won a conquest victory int he game. I've tried but I usually meet some other objective first.
Currently I am playing through with Japan and due to a great starting location with lots of fishing spots and a pantheon that gives production to fishing boats, I have a very industrious empire.

That's why I wasn't interested in it in the first place. Tried the demo, but it's simply the same game as the first entry with different characters. First game was really nice but this whole 'repeat time' plot element late game was really boring. Kinda made me not wanting more of this...
Fire Emblem Fates is so much better, though so far I'll say it's not near to being the best entry in the series (but I'll have to wait with the verdict for when I complete all three). Plot is so so, and the My Castle mechanic is nice but kinda rinse-and-repeatish... plus imo the support mechanic seems less effective overall. I remember that in battle you could really 'feel' that characters were in the S relation in Awakening (there were a lot more no damage blocks), now the only notable thing is the double guard which is not actually dependend on the relations but the number of actions...

I've just finished playing 'Kingdom' which I must say is an exellent example of how indie games can make something truely creative and beautiful while the big pulisher is stuck making the same, safe thing every year.
I wont spoil anything about the game, because I believe that the less you know, the more immersive you'll find the experience. But the music and 2D pixel graphics is very immersive and well done.
Also, there's an expansion for it in the making, which I'm looking forward to.

Uncharted 4. Has a tendency to drag a bit, and goes by the same shematics: explore->climb->shootout over and over, but it is still enjoyable and that graphics: pure next gen. Never seen such good character models, vistas or foliage. Even the small things like realisticly scattering rocks when sliding from a slope or footsteps left on dusty furniture. And everythings so incredibly detailed and full of life (like that bustling town on Madagascar). Nice.
Aside from that still Fire Emblem Fates and occasionally Heartstone. So much to play so little time to do it, sigh...
