The Water Elemental shown was exactly the leaked Spring Spirit, and it's profile art exactly the River Spirit's, but that doesn't mean anything at all, because we have no idea when the leaked art was from, or what changes have happened since then. It seems most likely that another unit entirely has replaced the Spring/River Spirit, and the old model was used for the Water Elemental.

Okay Nighty here's a little treat. 
The Keep (Ylath Faction)
Core
Hired Sword -> Mercenary
- Hired soldiers armed with Sword, Shield and Crossbow.
Cultist -> Heretic
- Ranged spellcaster specializing in debuffs and curses.
War Hound -> Doom Hound (This one I'm very unsure of, it will probably change)
- The upgraded version is a domesticated form of the inferno Cerberus.(aka it has 3 heads)
Elite
Wind Striker -> Storm Striker
- Hovering/flying Elite soldiers that is heavily armed, wielding warhammers and kite-shields.
Gargoyle
- Big and huge, they look pretty much like the Gargoyles from Diablo 1.
Thunder Bird
- Huge flying bird with a cool lightning attack.
Champion
Kirin (Hmm I made this final change, I add the Kirin and moved the thunder bird to elite. Time will tell if I change it....)

Wolf Rider -> Raider
- Goblin mounted on a wolf armed with a sharp scimitar.

- Like the Heroes 3 version, but this one looks more like a water buffalo to fit the Asian theme.

Skeletal Vermin -> Skeletal Servant
- Skeletons based on “lesser” races such as goblins and gremlins. A lot of their decayed flesh still remains on them.
Giant Spider -> White Spider
Ghost -> Banshee

Flesh Ghoul -> Blood Ghoul
- Replacing the Vampire, so it has life drain instead. The vampires still exists as heroes.)
Lich -> Elder Lich
Lamasu -> Guardian

- (note: this guys does not have a scythe.)

Gremlin -> Saboteur Gremlin
Sand Golem -> Dune Golem

- Huge animated beetle, capable of tearing down castle walls and crushing bone, stone and metal.

The Sylvan The Fortress (I decided not to do Sylvan, I couldn't be happy with it, so I give you a loveable dwarf Troll faction instead as I care less about making it good enough.)
Core
Axeman -> Heavy Axeman
- Dwarf(the only dwarf unit) warrior with huge 2-handed axe.
Winter Owl -> Mighty Owl (I don't know, a huge owl quite simply)
Stone Troll -> Granite Troll
- Small trolls with stone-like skin. These can be huge(Champion worthy) but these ones are just small.
Elite
Troll -> Troll Berserker
- Axe Thrower.
Yeti -> White Yeti
Hag -> Witch
- Of the Troll Race...

Snow Giant -> Ice Giant
A lot of these factions were improvised, but they can be developed. (For example I have certain plans for the Ylath faction. )
Note: EVERYTHING is subject to change, especially the names.
I'm sorry if you expected a Dungeon but I'm saving that one for later.

Since it appears I am being totally ignored here so. Here is my thought so far:
1. I don't care much about water elemental and spring spirit, just hoping it won't ruin the game. So far not a deal breaker for me, and I think we need to stop fighting about it until the official clarification since guessing and worse fighting on someone's guessing is pointless (the "it has been replaced by something else and river spirit is now elemental" is a guess, "no I think we will have different model on one of them" is a guess and hell "River spirit and Water Elemental are 1 creature" is also a guess") so stop it. Seriously.
2. What concern me MOST is 8 neutral creature minus elemental minus phoenix and minus whatever creature on the Christmas Tree. Which left up almost none for other creatures. I actually hope for planned future expansion cameo, maybe a unicorn or some faceless unit. Yeah I know we will get probably a Faceless boss but really, I expect to see more of them.

Haha yeah I guess I can replace my Croc-illa. But I don't really care for these factions except the Ylath faction.
And yeah the Spectre might not be a good name, I just wanted another name instead of just calling it "Big wraith whatever".

I think the Titan is to awesome and powerful to be a champion, he fits much better as a boss.
ANd yeah there is a little touch of warcraft. 
But nevermind like I said just ignore these factions. The only thing I need now is two replacements for the Hound and the Kirin in The Keep...

No, not "exactly". On the pic posted by Wckey, you can see that the artwork, at the very least, kinda downplayed certain assets that are now more accentuated on the ingame model.
 vs. 
Still no clue why there was an uproar against this unit, but it looks like the devs couldn't care less when it comes to them female units. Plus I'm convinced they simply made sure the words "spring spirit" wouldn't appear in the footage.

Haha! The way the spirals are drawn on her body, it looks like one boob is saggy while the other is more perky.

LOL! Probably because of the leak of the artwork, they had to do the enlargement surgery in a hurry and that took its toll.
But now it should be clear where the devs put their resources instead of the 3D town screens.

I actually have nothing against the River Spirit in itself (apart from being too similar to Snow Maiden in the lineup). The only thing I hope they won't do is making all the elementals humanoid - so boring...
Water Elemental - Similar to River Spirit or not, it is another human (lady). While it suits her nicely, I hope it won't be the rule for other elementals.
Earth Elemental - As seen in the video, it IS humanoid, but very nicely and suitably designed, at first I thought they were Treants when I saw them and they are composed of more "bio" components than in previous games, which is aesthetically nice.
My suggestions for others:
Fire Elemental - A creature with a long/slender body and sharp features. A salamander (similar to H5) would be nice. A fiery snakelike creature that breathes fire'd be cool IMO.
Water Elemental - Not really any innovation could be done here, as it is the least substantial one.

Heroes VI marks the first game where I would actually engage intercourse with an Elemental. The Heroes III version was feminine, but too fish-like.

True. I can imagine the urine-inducing of starting a battle with a 3D version of the Heroes II spartan-esque Titan standing in front of you right before laying waste with his Zeus bolts.

At least 'cloudwalker' sounded kind of mystical. 'Sacred' sounds like it belongs in the Haven faction(yeah yeah, I know. All dragons are divine beings, etc).
