It is possible that he did not change the txt files using a txt editor, but word pad. In such situation, the game refuses to start, because txt file unreadable.

- add frames to CPRSMALL.def, TWCRPORT.def and AVWATTAK.def
where are those files? it seems I do not have those files or do I need create them?
I have understand much better now with def's but I can not find those files at all.
EDIT:
I have opened the .lod file where are actually those files!
but I might need still some help until I get this on work

There are in Data\H3Sprite.lod. For unpack use MMArchive or ResEdit.
For edit those def-files use DefPreview to extract frames and H3DefTool to compile frames back to def.

h3wog.exe still doesn't run. I used the zcrtraits from your sample (the all-russian one) and the game refused to run. it will only run when creature number in amethyst.cfg is less than or equal to 196.
I don't think that's the problem with zctraits since your samples file didn't even let wog run.
Is there any other trick i'm missing?

Excellent! Now I am extracted them!
But now question! When I am now extracted creature.def file $42 Type Creature, there is showing up:
0 Moving
1 Mouse Over
2 Standing
3 Getting Hit
4 Defend
5 Death
7 Turn Left
8 Turn Right
9 Turn Left
10 Turn Right
11 Attack Up
12 Attack Straight
13 Attack Down
20 Start Moving
21 Stop Moving
Do I need to compress exact pics to smaller to fit on those H3Sprite.lod\AVWATTACK-CPRSMALL-TWCRPORT or do I now need h3deftool to modified a creatue which I want to add?
I am now trying to add a HotA creature unit called Blue Bird.def and it shows all this data
Please someone help me again!

You'll only need 1 picture of the blue bird, actually any picture, not even from the original def, to add into those 3 lists of def icons.

so, it can be also any size? or exact size?

Take a look at which def you want. Your pictures should match the size of other pictures in the def you want.

OxFEA, do you have a link to the txt-editing program you're using? The same problem persists with my new creature, namely, WOG won't start unless the creature number = 196 in your new config file.
I'm running out of tricks here....

I guess I'm doing it wrong.. I placed the test creature on the map. It shows the creature's portrait, but it's name is null for some reason and the game crashes when I try to attack it..

hmm. I just extracted the archive from first post to wog directory. I suppose the test creature is already configured properly..
amethyst.cfg contains this line:
creatures=197
and creatures/197.cfg contains these lines:
Town=5
Flags=20
Level=5
The lines in txt files are present

Test archive does not contains files for placing creature to map. Zeobjcts.txt, AVWATTAK.def and others

I placed a dracolich on the map and changed it's subtype to 197. isn't that enough?
