Because they play up to Hobbit, by prior arrangement, or simply by connecting to a joke.

Well, both Candle Creeper and Sentry Droid look stupid... but at least Candle Creeper got arms!
And no, we won't get rid of minotaurs. They fit too well in our concept. But maybe we'll use Mr. Candle somewhere else.

Well, if you're really gona put the Candle Creeper in, don't forget the Wicked Witch or Flying Feet. It would probably come across as... incomplete without them

Quote: Sentry Droids replaces Minotaurs for some reasons.
Am I the only one who thinks replacing the minotaurs (or most other lower tier units) with full on mecha is a bad idea? I thought the idea behind the forge's lineup was that since there weren't a whole lot of forge production facilities around, it would be easier to modify existing troops because they were already available and would only need some minor technological upgrading to become superior to other troops around, whereas whole armies of flying robots would be way more expensive and time consuming to produce.
Considering that the forge has much lower unit production rates than other towns already, even for low-level units equipped with basic hardware, how the devil would they be able to crank out these high-tech sentry drones in any sort of numbers? Why would this be preferable to slapping a jetpack on a minotaur, which would be way cheaper and would produce a similarly powerful unit?
I could see it with level 7 units since they're already expensive and rare, so the forge producing its own mechanical stuff would probably be just as easy as going out and giving dragons miniguns for arms or whatever, but with more common troops it'd be a waste of limited resources to replace them outright.
I apologize if I'm just pulling nonsense out of my ass here, but this just seems odd to me given what we know about the other forge units.
/end lengthy rant
Quote: If not for the fact it would be highly anticlimax (moreso than the Forge itself for some part of the community) I'd suggest some more "conventional" tanks, but that wouldn't work, now would it?
Wouldn't fit the forge imho, but maybe in some other kind of town...
(not my work)
p.s. no idea what happened to my first post, not a big deal though

If only we had DEF of tank
It would be possible to realize this picture.
In WOG archive are already Pans with guns etc, so town of technologic midgets with tank is already possible.

I am also against it. But rather about the whole unit rather than costs of production.

I'm thinking to compile Super Forge from units in packs.
What do you think about it?
PS Please, if your unit is here, no offence, please.
It doesn't mean your unit sucks, just it is good for Super Forge lineup. It's reworking of original Forge.
Who said there must be Deia goblins, minotaurs and Naga Tanks?
This is about evil Pans, planning to conquer whole world and convert all living to cyborgs.

Actually not that bad at all. I always imagined Forge with high tech funny creatures. But my McKay inside, lol. He is wearing lanterns in both hands.

ALRIIGHT, who is reading my mind again? (Goblins are a thing in my H7 concept and they're also equipped with some Forge-esque technology)

I don't have other pair of units for L4.
PS I have two Cobold Mummies, but they are no technology at all (only as a counteratack to Forge Dead with Saws).

I was getting concerned about this, but I finally (not really) managed to talk with Paul Romero again - of course he lost the questions I sent him last time so it's going to take another million years to get the answers, but hey - I can wait. It wasn't his fault. (or anyone's fault for that matter)
Also,
